At some point @SEC_Enforcement you have to make some type of public statement on #DarkPoolAbuse and price manipulation in the stock market. The longer you put it off, the greater the awareness.
The longer you are silent, the more it appears you are inept or culpable. It's about transparency. It's about integrity. It's about addressing the growing questions raised by retail investors, the largest taxpayer base in the country.
On a regular basis, the financial industry risks the entire U.S. economy for greed. On a regular basis, the taxpayer has to endure economic collapse brought on by an industry that skirts laws and pays fines that amount to pennies while at the same time bailing the industry out.
Banks are being investigated for Credit Default Swaps. Again!!! Are you kidding me?!?!? Some of the same banks and players that crashed the housing market and the U.S. economy in 2008, are at it again. news.bloomberglaw.com/antitrust/citi…
One person was sentenced in 2008. ONE. PERSON.
"...The U.S. lost $3.4 trillion in real estate wealth from July 2008 to March 2009 according to the Federal Reserve. This is roughly $30,300 per U.S. household...." pewtrusts.org/en/research-an…
Am I to believe that one person was responsible for all the criminal activity that led to the collapse of our entire 08 economy!?!? Bernie Madoff's sentence was 150-years for operating a Ponzi scheme. Kareem Serageldin (that one person) was sentenced to 30 months!!! One person!
Madoff got the book thrown at him because his victims included banks and hedge funds. What happens when the victims of hedge funds and banks are retail investors and the U.S. economy? Bail-outs and ridiculously small fines for $$trillions$$ in U.S. economic losses.
An industry crashes the economy for greed and the victim has to bail them out. Bernie Madoff was labeled "extraordinarily evil" and sentenced to 150 years. When will taxpayers who are victimized over and over again see industry leaders given Bernie Madoff length sentences?
If Bernie is "extraordinarily evil" what do we call individuals who are full of greed, self-importance, hubris enough to risk the economy on a regular basis?
