Byjus acquired Toppr and Great Learning yesterday,

I am blown away by their series of acquisitions.

Here is a short thread on the saga 🧵

6 acquisitions in 2021 alone.

First, they acquired Epic for $500 MN a few days back,

I thought the acquisition storm has passed for now but I was wrong.

Within a week, they now acquired both Toppr and Great Learning 😅

The amount is undisclosed at the moment but the last time I read,

The total deal size was supposed to be around $500 million.

That would mean, $1B in less than a week.

They are making acquisitions look as simple as giving away cash for pocket money

Both acquisitions are going to strengthen Byju's foothold in the edtech Market

While Toppr will help them capture the K-12 segment,

Great Learning will allow access to a more mature market of professionals in the AI and ML upskilling market

A new space that Byjus hasn't ventured into yet.

So, the acquisition tally looks like this right now just in 2021:

Toppr, Great Learning, Epic, Hash Learn, Aakash Institute, Scholar, and LabinApp

Offline or Online, Byju's is proving its prominence everywhere.

To be frank, I would like to say Upgrad, but it has grown too big to be acquired. But anything is possible.
