1/ In times of a covid-19 crisis, many are puzzled as to why doctors are choosing to go on a strike today by conducting a mass walkout at their respective hospitals.

Hence, here's a thread on #HartalDoktorKontrak and why you should support it.

2/ Before diving into the issue, here's some background on the movement.

Many who are against #HartalDoktorKontrak are worried that it will jeopardize the healthcare system.

3/ BUT what many don't realise is that the contract system for doctors is already doing that on its own.

The system for contract doctors has been failing; the pandemic only exposed just how broken it really is.

4/ #HartalDoktorKontrak is the result of a failed system, not the cause.

Our frontliners deserve better!

Simply clapping and praising their sacrifice is NOT enough. They deserve to have their demands heard and fulfilled.
