Anatomy of a goal!

Was checking @rscanderlecht vs @UnionStGilloise match this weekend

First goal by @UnionStGilloise was an example of cumulative defensive errors by @rscanderlecht players.

Lets see what I found!

Beginning of the situation.
A ball in the deep for Union, Union player looking to pass long!Undav (highlighted) was marked by Harwood Bellis (highlighted) who suddenly runs forward to empty space, I don't understand why.
Then he has to quickly turn back he is caught no mans land

The pass goes to Lappousin in LW, who beats the hasty charge by Sardella. Now Harwood Bellis is in dilemma, to mark Undav or to close down Lappousin.
Keep an eye on Cullens (Highlighted in red)
Anyway, Undav makes a run behind Bellis & is free in 6 yard box

The endgame!
Cullens stops his run (WHY?)
He needed to continue his run to cover Undav but he stops!
Undav is free in front of the keeper without any pressure to complete the tap in when the pass comes.

End of thread!
For me there were consecutive issues -
1. Harwood Bellis making unnecessary runs
2. Sardella beaten too easily
3. Cullens not making run to cover Undav!

All in all, bad defending by a team managed by one of the best defenders!
