werewolf!shiro/were!coyote!keith #sheith

Shiro is head of the Voltron pack, a small but prominent pack that is very focused on community support for humans and weres alike.

Their territory is Flagstaff and the surrounding county.

Keith is a young loner who hides his were-side
viciously. He comes across as entirely human. He even smells utterly human. A result of tamping his inner coyote down like an abused dog.

When Lance, a rangey young wolf, invites Keith to an event at the Voltron Community center, Keith decides to go along with his old college
roomie and finds himself in a sea of werecanids.

Of course, Shiro is there, dressed in cargo shorts and a tight t-shirt, a cap on backwards with his white floof falling over his forehead.

He's playing ping pong against a cute lil kid and losing on purpose. It melts Keith's
heart. He'd always liked Shiro. He was a good Pack Leader. He was supportive, listened to his Council and weighed all his decisions with an air of humility.

He was greatly respected.

Keith sighed from his seat. His inner coyote dreamed of having a pack, of having such a close
knit group supporting him. Maybe even loving him? HAH wishful thinking. When a sudden shadow filtered through his vision, he yelped, startled, and reeled backwards, toppling over.

"Ouch..."

"Oh, shit, dude. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to startle you. I just wanted to see if you
were ok. Lance said he'd brought you, but he's been with Allura all night." It was Shiro, gently helping him up.

Keith gulped but allowed it. "Not surprised, really. Ever since they met, it's been enough to give me diabetes." Keith made a face as he sat back down.

Shiro sat
in the seat across from him, chuckling and hanging his head. "It is pretty awful sometimes. But he's becoming a good beta for Allura's pack. He's got a keen eye for detail despite his...uhm..."

"Lance-ness?"

"Ah, yes. That." Shiro agreed and Keith gave him the ghost of a smile.
"Everyone else is having a good time, though. This is gunna be such a great place, for canids AND humans."

Shiro looked so hopeful. Keith swallowed hard, looking away. "Yeah. It will. It's a really nice place ya got here. I'd have killed for somethin like it when i was a cu- er
kid."

"No family?"

"Nah, Pop died during a wildfire. He was a hotshot. Mom...she was on the run, had to leave when I was 6months old. She might be dead too, for all i know. It's just been me since I was 8."

The outline of Shiro's wolf form flared up just briefly, a vague
silhouette around his head and shoulders. He bared his teeth at the thought of any kid in his territory having to be alone like that. He made a face, sadness washing over him.

"I'm so sorry. I have no sway in human CPS rules, I..."

"It's alright Shiro. Not your fault. Besides,
I survived. I made it to 27, graduated high school with only a few years in juvie and a misdemeanor record a mile long."

"Hah. Yeah. You made it. But, I want people like you to feel safe here. Adults can be here too. It's not just a place for kids."

"Oh you don't want a person
like me here, Shiro."

"Just because of your past..."

"Shiro. Forget it. Please. I'm not worth anyone's time. Certainly not yours. You've got this gorgeous facility, a healthy pack, everything else on your plate...I'll just tarnish it. Like motor oil on an italian suit."

Keith
got to his feet, shrugging on his red leather jacket and giving the older wolf a wan smile.

"Thank you for letting humans in, and for putting up with me. I gotta go."

"Hey, wait...don't go..." SHiro tried, but Keith was small and quick and even with his coat, he blended into
the crowd, slipping away. Shiro turned, looking out the window just in time to see Keith int he parking lot, looking so upset as he put on his helmet and straddled his bike, speeding off into the night.

They'd never met before, but Shiro felt oddly bereft without the strange,
melancholy man's presence. His inner wolf whined faintly. He was going to do something probably very stupid.

Thank the Moon Allura was the alpha of the Altea pack that ran Flagstaff and had incorporated Shiro's little band.

He hurried to find her and take her aside to ask her
to help him do something probably very stupid for himself.

"Oh Shiro, darling. It's about time you did something for yourself. But wait until morning. The pack needs to go back to the farm to recoup after tonight. They haven't had a party in weeks. And you know Pidge is going to
crash hard. You're the only one who's capable of wrangling her after a sugar high. I'll start wrapping things up if you get the the pack rounded up."
Keith lived on his Pop's old ranch way, way outside of town, down an old dirt road. His bike kicked up the brown dust behind him as he rolled up to the old, rundown cabin.

He flung off his helmet and stomped inside to flop miserably down on his old worn sofa and rub his hands
over his face.

"I'm an idiot. a big gay twunk coyote idiot. And the fucking pride of Flagstaff actually spoke to me. Fuck."

Keith spent...oh. About an hour talking to himself. More like berating himself.

Eventually, he got to his feet and trudged to his room, shucking off his
clothes to go take a shower. He sighed, under the spray and let himself relax finally.

Once he was done and dry, he wrapped a towel around his waist and headed out to his sofa again, to sit and watch the late news.

The next thing he knew, he was waking up to the bright morning
sun...and someone knocking on his door.

"Mr Kogane? Mr Kogane, it's the Sherriff. Can you come to the door? Mr Kogane?"

"Yeah...yeah. hang on. I'm comin'." He rewrapped the towel and yanked the door open, grimacing at the bright light. "Fuckin sun..."

The older man, Iverson
was a grizzled old man who knew Keith well. He eyed Keith with his one good eye and huffed a rough voiced laugh before looking heavenward.

"Well, I was just checking in on ya, Kid. Hadn't heard from you ina while."

"Yeah, sorry, man. Work's been rough. The summer's been rough
for trail rides and No one wants to host parties in this heat. Got a 3rd shift job at the grocery store to pay for Kosmo's feed. I'm thinkin about sellin off the rest of the horses, just bringin Kosmo and Black back here." Keith hollered as he got dressed.

Iverson made himself
home, starting the coffee pot like he had since Keith got the house back when he was 18. It was held by one of his dad's hotshot friends in trust until he was old enough.

"Ah, I hate to see you have to do that, Kid. Those horses mean the world to you."

"More than the world, Sir
but you didn't come out here to shoot the shit, did you?"

"No. No. Just word that that gang that tried to recruit you back in high school is slinkin around town, again. I can't do much about it, they've gone legit. Some new night club owned by Zarkon's boy Lotor, you know the
one, went to a european boarding school then came back when his old man got sick."

"Zarkon's a piece of shit, and so's his gang. I'm too old for that shit anymore, Iverson. I'm 27, not 17." Keith laughed. "The most exciting thing I do is follow Lance McCane to charity events and
hang out as a third wheel."

"That musta been horrible."

"Told Shiro it was enough to give me diabetes."

Iverson made an interested noise. "Oh? You spoke with Shiro?"

Keith frowned comically hard. "Shut up old man. Don't you start."

"What? Look, Kid, I just wanna see you have
some good in your life. Is that so bad?"

"My luck and experience says yes."

"Bah. Shiro's a nice guy. Single, too. My daughter's friend Romelle said she heard he's gay."

"Oh my god! This is awful. No, I take it back. I'm gunna go join that gang. That's gotta be better than
what ever is happening right now. Jesus."

Iverson cackled until he started coughing. Keith smirked fondly.

"Guys like that don't go for stray dogs like me. Now get out. I gotta go to the stables." Keith helped himself to a last cup of coffee, black as pitch, and followed
Iverson out the door. The old man waved, getting into his old ford truck while Keith hunted down his helmet and shook out the scorpions before smashing it on his head and heading out to where he stabled his small herd of trail riding horses.

Shiro woke bleary and dry, his mouth feeling cottony and gross. The black wolf with steely grey eyes inchwormed his way off the end of his bed and stretched out muzzle down on the floor and groooaaaned.

He'd been up til nearly 2am, pacing, trying to think of legal ways he could
find that mystery man from the party, until Allura had come down in her night robe, whapped him on the nose with a slipper and made him take a bunch of benadryl and sent him to bed with a glass of warm milk and the possible lie that Keith would probably really like to see him
again.

Already shifted, and the megadose of benadryl kicking in as Allura guided Shiro to his room, Shiro had crooned in question, ears pricking up.

"What is it about that mystery man? You'd think he ws Cinderella. Go to bed, Shiro. There you go, finish your milk. Good boy. Lie
down. Good Alpha. We'll dig him up later. Now go to sleep."

The next thing Shiro know, he was waking up in his wolf form the next morning with drool all on the side of his face and one thought ringing through his brain -'Locate Keith, Lance's old roommate'.
To be honest, Keith had only lived with Lance for two years after the slightly younger man had graduated from college and needed a roommate in his downtown industrial chic apartment. The rent hadn't been mega high, and Keith had been well-employed by the stables as a ranch hand.
In all that time, Lance had never suspected that Keith was anything other than a were-friendly human who was a little on the too quiet side and not into sharing much about himself.

It had really been a test for Keith of his own making, to see how well he could cope away from the
ranch.

It turned out, pretty well.

There had almost been a close call when Keith had shifted by his motorcycle in the parking lot of their complex after a stressful day dealing with a bunch of horse girl moms.

He'd sat there and had an angry cry at the night sky only to be
startled when Lance had come down the sidewalk.

Thankfully, the wolf had been engrossed in his phone and only looked up at the movement of Keith making it look like he'd just got off his bike.

A head nod later and the pair had gone into their apartment.

But now, Keith was
alone. He was alone, and he was lonely, and his inner coyote was going mad from being locked down for so long.

He waved at old Mrs. Olkari, the owner of the stables. She was such a nice lady. Were friendly and turned a blind eye to her best ranch hand's odd, but harmless, quirks
such as the way he'd take Kosmo, the massive mammoth mule, out alone into the hills for days at a time.

He'd always leave so stressed, but come back peaceful and at ease.

And it never hurt that the woman always made sure Keith got some of her famous fig jam and homemade bread
to take with him.

"You seem more upset than usual, dear. Even the other horses are picking up on it."

"Just worried about makin ends meet, Mrs Olkari. That's all. Thinking about selling some of the horses if things don't pick up. It's not fair to you..." Keith broke off, biting
his bottom lip.

The woman nodded in understanding. "You let me worry about that. This is my ranch. My land. I know things have been tight, you haven't got much pay, but what if I have you help me around the house, too? You know Mr Olkari isn't as spry as he used to be..."
She grinned and gave Keith a wink. He snifled a bit, but smiled. Mr Olkari was 85 years old and spent most of his days yelling at the horse races on TV or being an old coot, just to see his wife smile at his antics.

Keith agreed and after she ambled back into the house, Keith
jumped onto Kosmo's back and took off toward the trails.

He had far too much to think about and a sinking feeling that time was not on his side.

end #sheith weres part 2! (i formatted this whole thing wrong, oops!!!)
#sheith weres part 3 (here. we. go)

In this world, in the city of Flagstaff, wolves rule.

With Allura and Shiro as Alphas, they had made it safe for almost every Were in town, and, honestly, the whole county. Fox, puma, dog, cat, you name it, the Altea and Voltron packs were
the ones who made the overall decisions with input from other Were Council members.

The one Were that were not represented on the Council...were Coyotes.

Years ago, when Allura's father had been the reigning Coconino Cty Alpha, the Coyote Alpha and he had had a falling out.
one that had resulted in Alfor's death and the coyotes being driven into the desert.

It had been a violent and bloody insurrection with Zarkon's Daibazaal gang becoming more and more dangerous. The involved everyone, even humans.

So, these days all Coyote weres were considered
persona non grata unless they submitted to the Altea and Voltron packs.

There were very, very few werecoyotes in Flagstaff.

Which is what made Keith so unique. See, he knew about all this. He'd heard it all anecdotally. He'd heard it from older werewolves, still griping about
the war and bastard coyotes.

Which is part of why Keith had chained down his coyote so harshly.

He was already weird. His mom had 'ran out' on him and his Pop, leaving the half-coyote to raise his son all alone, while trying to fend off the gang trying to recruit him all the
time. Tex Kogane had wanted no part in that. He was a rancher. He wanted no part in their cartel or their war.

But Zarkon's influence was long, even after he'd been driven away.

Keith had done some running for a few low-level punks, but only ever as a human and none of them had
any clue what he really was.

So, on this night, Keith rode Kosmo out, deep into the desert where no coyote roamed except for him.

He had found his own little place, an oasis with a little spring that Keith had worked hard to cultivate so his horses would have somewhere safe to
drink.

he left Kosmo there by the shaded pool and soft grasses and patted his flank.

"Good boy. Stay around here, alright? I gotta go off on my own for a bit." Keith set his jacket in a folded pile on a rock, rolled his shoulders and closed his eyes, reaching in for his coyote.
It broke Keith's heart to see it. Small, cowering, terrified. Just a whisp of dark smoke and glowing yellow and ultra violet eyes. It whimpered at Keith. It loved him and Keith loved it right back.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorryI'msorryI'msorry" He repeated over and over as he reached in
and offered it temporary freedom, letting the coyote fearfully take control.

Keith's wereform was, of course, much like his human form. Muscular, but thin, poorly fed, a little scrawny and scruffy.

Keith blinked and his night eyes lifted to the evening sky and the coming night.
His fur was the same color of his hair, a dark brown with smoke dark shades. He could blend into the twilight shadows as easily as any sun coyote in the sands.

He sighed, feeling every part of himself, checking in. He felt itchy, nervous as all get out.

He stretched, rolled
his shoulders and cringed at the way his joints popped.

Keith yawned, his jaw cracked as he bared sharp fangs to the sunset.

It was sad that his form wasn't much larger than his human height. Barely 5'11" to his human 5'7".

Once shifted, he waited for dark. For the coolness
of night and the drifting stars.

They needed it. They needed to sing. They needed to cry.

Things were getting hard. Money wise. He was getting tired.

The coyote was tired. Tired of scraping by.

'Why not appeal to Alpha Shirogane? He seems reasonable, maybe...?'

'You know we
can't, Little Star. Not yet. We are Coyote. Not wolf. He'd kill us.'

'Death by wolf in comfort is better than death by starvation. Maybe we swallow our pride, maybe we reveal.'

'Maybe, Little Star. You are probably right.' Keith sighed. He hated what he'd become. Maybe it would
go alright, submitting to the Wolf Alpha. Maybe Allura wouldn't want him dead if he went to Shiro first.

Although Allura would have rights to his life, simply by being a coyote, despite his bloodline having nothing to do with Zarkon.

So, Keith slipped into the dark, followed
the old trail, went out under the stars and /cried/ his broken heart to the stars. It was long, mournful, and almost wolf like, haunting in it's wrecked, hoarse intonation.

Wild coyotes joined in his song, a strange harmony instead of the disjointed noise bestial coyotes usually
sang.

In the deep night, a black wolf woke with eyes that flashed silver upon opening. That wolf was drawn to the roof of the farmhouse and up into a built on watchtower (built to keep an eye on wildfires) and he stood naked under the starlight, hearing the faint coyote cry on
the wind.

And then, his ears pricked up at a stronger sound. A cry on the wind that made tears prick at the corners of his eyes as he offered his weaker cry to the night, howling in a deeper harmony for whoever was out there, a poor lost soul that needed company.

Shiro sang out
in hopes that whoever was crying could hear him and maybe know somebody cared.

Even if they were a coyote. A coyote with a voice like a cool breeze on the hottest day, soothing where it shouldn't be.

A breeze like that heralded vicious storms and rains that healed.
(sorry i had to stop for dinner at....9pm lol i gotta go to bed soon before work tomorrow oh no)

A week passed by and life carried on as normal.

Shiro did his best to carry on with his day job at Altea industries as head engineer, but his thoughts, of course, strayed to the
odd song he'd shared.

Coyotes, as he knew them, were not usually in tune, like that.

Shiro got so lost in thought that he missed when the little red wolf Pidge had stopped in front of him to deliver some paperwork from their lab for the Alpha to go over.

"Earth to Boss.
Testing, testing. Anybody in there?"

"Huhwha huh?" Shiro blinked, flushing in embarassment. Pidge lifted a brow in utter judgment and sucked at their teeth.

"Uh wha. Really? Dude, you need to get your head in the game. Hunk and I have the reports you wanted about the new
prototypes and we need you and Matt to look em over, or whatever." Pidge picked at their teeth. "Because honestly, I could just forge your signatures, but I'm bored and tired of being here and I want to leave. I've got my DnD game to get to, after all."

"Right. You are right. I
will get on this first thing in the morning. You go. Have fun. Roll nat 20s!"

Pidge shook their head fondly and rolled their eyes. "Whatever, Nerd. Later."

"Later." Shiro grinned. He loved Pidge. Honorary mini sib.

He gathered his things, shut off the things in his office and
(as the kids said) yeeted himself outta his office and into his souped-up Jeep Gladiator (black, of course).

Shiro sat in his comfy driver's seat and checked his phone for messages. Most were just work things, a few grind/r posts Shiro wrinkled his nose at, and one text from
Lance.

Whom Shiro had tried to bully into giving him more info on his friend, whom Shiro now knew as Keith.

Allura had chewed his ass out about it and Shiro had had to buy her chocolates in apology.

But Lance had come through with what he could recall about the guy. Old roomie
during Lance's college years, Keith wasn't in school, had some kind of job working with horses somewhere out in the boonies, but also did some baristo work in town once in a while.

Quiet, unassuming. Seems like the type to wanna work in a garage instead of animals, but ya never
know with some folk. Totally human. Probably gay, but Lance'd never seen him go out unless Lance forced him to.

Thinks his last name started with a K? Maybe an M? Lance never scrutinized the other man too closely, it gave him big jeebies.

Shiro texted the younger Beta back and
thanked him for the info, promising to set up the fire pit for marshmallows that weekend for a lil Pack Cookout.

Lance didn't need to know Shiro had ulterior motives when he asked a little while later if Lance'd try to invite Keith along.

That wasn't sneaky and un-alpha like...
right?

Naaaah.

Allura was gunna skin him and use his pelt for a throw rug if she ever found out about this. Haha, he's in trouble....
(Welcome to part....3? of #sheith Weres! I gave yall some feels last time, didn't I? I'm so sorry, I'm gunna do it a lot.

Part 3 is inspired by this song, for Keith. it's... like a theme. for him. yup.

)
Keith stared at his phone. Brought it up close to his face to squint at it, then pulled it as far away from himself as his arm could reach before texting back.

'Dude. Why are you inviting me to like....a family dinner? Do you wanna date me? Wouldn't Allura be upset?'

Keith
smirked, smug and turned the volume off before turning the thing upside down to instead pay attention to the freshly finished bowl of boxed pasta he was eating for his Highly Adulty Dinner, thank you.

The horny, mostly healthy, male part of himself wanted to desperately say yes.
if shiro would be there, he also wanted to be there, but Rational Human Brain with its Big Wrinkles said that was stupid, he wasn't 21 (18? hah) anymore. He had more important things to do than go to a permanently 21 year old werewolf's family bonding fire thing.

Like...pay the
back log of bills piling up on his sparse kitchen table.

Thank god Pop installed solar back in the dark ages, but he still needed water, still needed stuff for his horses, vet bills, collections...

His inner coyote whimpered. 'Alpha Shiro might help us if we submit, we are Good
and Submissive, breedable, yes? well....not breedable like THAT, but -'

"We are coyote. We do not submit. Not to anyone, and certainly NOT to a rich werewolf with a hero complex." Keith argued back, angrily slurping his noodles. He hummed. This kind was good. Saucy.

'Ok, agreed
but we need help. We're drowning. What if we just...hint? See what he thinks? I can be subtle. I am Coyote. I am Shadows!'

"You're a ho. A big slutty ho."

'HE'S SO PRETTY!!!!!! AND WE'VE NOT FUCKED IN A YEAR!!!'

"Yeah, like the last one night stand went so well."

Dude's name
was James Griffin, a bully from Keith's youth. Grown now and in the military, the guy had no idea who Keith was. Keith had accidentally seen a message on the guy's phone from his wife.

That walk of shame had been awful. Keith wasn't exactly a great person, but he wasn't rotten.
Coyote sighed. 'Please? I'm dying, being locked away. WE are dying. The stars sometimes feel so far away...'

"Fine! FINE! We'll go and see what I can do. Wanna see Lance have a meltdown?"

'OO! Best entertainment ever!'

~~~~
In his office, Shiro was waving good night to the
last few admins before bypassing certain locks on his work laptop to access a government database.
He hunted for hours through all the Keiths in Coconino county, all the while being on the phone with Lance who was sobbing about how Keith was so mean, insinuating they might be
dating and how Allura had laughed at the notion but had gotten so possessive and just....pure verbal diarrhea.
Honestly, Shiro just tuned it out until...
"...Kogane, I knew he was messing with me, but Allura still hasn't formally claimed me and...Shiro? Shiro, are you still
there? Shiro?"
"Yeah, yeah dude. I'm pretty sure you're safe from Keith...Kogane's intentions."
"Thank god. I mean, I like dudes too and all, but that mullet...he's like a street dog, so gross."
"Hah, sure. Lance, I have to let you go. You do your best to bring him anyway. Ok?
Can you do that for me? I just....the Wolf feels like he needs....something. From us, from me...I don't know."
Lance settled, humming agreement. "Yeah. Yeah. I know what you mean. I give him so much shit, but he's not that bad. Not really. Did I ever tell you how he scared off a
mugger a few years ago?" His tone ws serious, fond almost.
Shiro sat up in his seat, back straight as a line. Someone in his pack had been in danger???
"No. That one you never told us about."
"Oh. Maybe I told Allura then? But I dragged Keith out to a night club. Def not his
scene, but he went along cause he wanted me to be safe. It was before Allura, after all. After we left, I was pretty dozy, but Keith kept me real close. Suddenly these guys that Keith seemed to know came up, demanding something. He got into a fight with them, an all out brawl. I
ran to his old jeep in time to see him chase them off, but he had a nasty gash on his cheek and had to go to the ER after dropping me off with Hunk. I didn't see him until a long time later. Almost a year, even though we talked on the phone.
Shiro, Alpha, if you're serious about
adding him to the pack as a human thrall, I'm all for it. He'd be a great addition. He's brave, strong, cunning, gentle. He's even good with kids!"
"I really am thinking about it. Look, I gotta go...uh oh." Shiro hung up, lifting his head to see...
Allura, standing in wereform
in her business casual pale pink suit, tapping her foot with her arms crossed over her chest.
"You were planning to what a what?" She rumbled low, baring just a hint of fang on her pretty, snow white face.
Alpha Shiro whimpered, shifted, lowered his head. "I was only thinking
about it."
"A HUMAN? A thrall?? All because of, what? One meeting at a civic charity event? Are you MAD?? Could you imagine the paperwork! The council would throw a fit!"
"But...He saved Lance from muggers once..."
Allura stopped, mid rant and pointed at Shiro, her tail bushed
out straight behind her before she calmed down a little.
"Low blow, Shiro. But fine. Yes. He did. And I did tell you to pursue him, I suppose. But I thought as like... a date! A one night stand! Some minor curiosity you wanted to soothe. This? This is too much. You're going to
break your own heart getting this invested in someone you don't even know."
"Allura, please. Please, Alpha. Pleeeeeeeease?" He did a puppy whine, making his eyes all big as he playfully begged at her. "please can i make the stranger boy be my bestest best friend forever and ever
and stuff?"
"Ew, gross. Fine. You may court him. Carefully. Slowly. From what Lance has said, that boy could run at the slightest whiff of danger to himself. You better be on your best behavior at the bonfire or I'll have Pidge and Matt cooking your dinners for a month, instead
of Hunk."
Shiro reared back in his chair, aghast. "Vicious bitch, you got a deal." He grinned and Allura sighed, rubbing her temples as she shrank back into her human form.
"I regret this already. Really, I do."
As she left to the elevator and turned around, Shiro shouted,
"Lance still wants you to claim him!"
The absolute squeal as the doors closed made Shiro cackle, knowing Allura's worst secrets.
He found himself smiling fondly, and his Wolf murred. 'It would be nice to have someone to claim as well. No dates, just mates.' It laughed heartily.
(Good MORNING friends! I guess the last part was part 4, so that makes this part 5 of #sheith Weres! Things are going to get...interesting...)
The night of the bonfire, Keith had tried to decide what to do with his face.
He huffed, clucked, grumbled as he looked at himself in
his bathroom mirror. He had a week old scruff on his face and the rings under his eyes.... was he 27, or 47?
He groaned, gripping the sides of the sink and dropping his head. His long hair, usually kept in a low bun at the nape of his neck, or a pony tail, was loose, damp still
from his shower.
"Scruff, or no scruff?" He asked his reflection.
'Scruff. Leave it, but clean it up a lil, yeah? And braid our mane and use that one hair oil, the one that smells like the cedars and the rain. We love that smell.'
"Ok." Dubious, but accepting, Keith did as
told.
Close fitting dark jeans, black motorcycle boots, black leather jacket, and a clean black t-shirt with a moon and some mountains on it.
He eyed himself critically then sighed. His closet ranged from couch potato to biker bitch. He guessed he looked good enough.
Time to
go.
~~~

As Keith turned up the drive for the farm, he saw the sign on the ornate columns. 'Altea-Voltron Pack'.

He shivered, just a little, and stuffed down his fear as he rumbled up the paved driveway.

A sign pointed to the guest parking area and he rose up, getting his
phone out to text Lance that he was here and had brought some extra marshmallows.

A voice calling from near the doorway had him turn, smiling in his usual lopsided way, lifting an arm to wave - but it wasn't Lance.

The smile on his face died a little, but he covered fast by
lifting the marshmallows in his other hand. "Hi Mr Shirogane. I brought extra... Fuck, I sound like a teenager. Gross."

"Hey! Keith, right? Glad you made it! Oo, mallows!" Shiro jogged up, dressed down in old jeans and a grey and black jersey shirt and vans.

Coyote tipped its
head in mild confusion. Keith couldn't smell...anything wolfy about Shiro except that he was an Alpha Wolf. That was it.

He rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah. Keith Kogane. We never really...got to talk at the charity thing. I'm sorry about all that, by the way. It... I'm not a
people person and my social battery was drained when you started talking to me. So. I'm sorry."

Shiro had already opened the bag and his cheeks were puffed out with pilfered mallows. He blinked at the younger man. A younger man who lifted both brows and crossed his arms, smirkin
just a little. "Wow."

Shiro quickly chewed and swallowed and choked on his own spit.

"Ack, ugh...Don't tell Allura. Today is my cheat day, but I'm still not supposed to eat too many. You can call me Shiro, by the way."

"Uh huh. Shiro. I thought Alphas could do whatever they
wanted." That teasing tone.

Shiro's wolf was practically melting. "I mean. No? Allura's like... my little, high strung Type A personality sister. We're co-Alphas. Lance is her Beta, whereas Hunk is mine. He's the pack dietician, as well as the owner of Clocktower, that fancy
bar thing downtown? But, uh... pack dynamics can be really complicated. I don't wanna bore you with it all. You came here for bonfire night!"

"Hah, yeah. Are there any of those left?" Keith followed easily at Shiro's side, eyeing the almost empty bag.

"Just one...oh..." Shiro
pouted, whining in his throat mournfully as he held up the bag. "Oops..."

It was worth it to hear the barking laugh that came out of Keith that sent a happy, fuzzy thrill through the larger man.

"It's ok, Big Guy. I'm glad you liked them."

Shiro smiled dashingly. "Pidge says
they're surprised I don't have more cavities. Truth be told, I have junk food stashes all around the farmhouse. Kinda an open secret anymore. My absolute favorite though, is boxed mac n cheese. Left over from high school and college days. So bad for me. So tasty."

They walked
around the back of the house and down a pathway to where the big outdoor kitchen was along with the fire already burning about 30ft beyond that.

A lot of the people were already shifted, but there were some humans mixed in, all chatting amiably with the crowd.

In the kitchen, a
big brown wolf was happily sipping a craft beer while flipping various meats.

The smell hit Keith and he almost drooled, but his stomach did the snarling. He grimaced and rubbed at it.

Shiro noticed, frowning a little. "Go ahead and get food. Lance is sitting over there with
Matt, Pidge, and Allura. You want a beer?"

Keith hesitated, looking at the small group. Allura hadn't shifted, but Lance had. The tan and brown wolf looking happy and constantly nuzzling against Allura's neck. She ignored him, for the most part, but had one hand resting on his
leg.

Matt and Pidge were not shifted. Matt was currently babbling incessantly to an interested, but overwhelmed looking platinum blond man. Pidge was interjecting but had their face in their DS otherwise.

"They won't bite, but don't trust Pidge from the knee caps down. I'll
bring you a plate, yeah? Go on. Go sit."

"Oh. Uhm. Alright." He slunk, for lack of a better word, through the shadows to the group. "Uh. H-hey."

"Mullet! You made it! Nice! Did you bring the marshmallows?" Lance sat up and Allura looked over, waving cheerfully at the newcomer.
Keith walked over to shake Lance's hand before giving a rueful smile. "Well. I did, but Shirog- er. Shiro met me in the parking spot and got hold of em. Sorry man."

"Damn. THANKS SHIRO! YA JERK!" Lance shouted, looking grumpy.

"Hush, dear. We have plenty. Thank you, Keith! That
was very kind of you to try. Shiro's a junkfood hound. I ought to make him eat brussels sprouts for this."

That polite English accent sounded...kind, if not wary. Keith hunched up his shoulders, trying to make himself seem a little smaller, apologetic.

Coyote knew SHE was the
one to be nervous about. She radiated Alpha energy, but in more of a 'you're new, just getting to know you' way, thank god.

He sat down on a folding chair, relaxing in the heat of the flickering fire.

"We're glad you could make it, Keith. Don't suppose you know any good veg
recipes?"

Keith sat up at Allura's question. "Uh. No, ma'am. Sorry. I just eat... ya know. Canned stuff. I uh. Bachelor, life. I live alone kinda far out."

"No worries, man! I can find some. I'm Hunk, resident cook! Have some brisket, you're skinnier than Lance."

"Hey!"

A
plate full of meat, and sauce, and sides was set in Keith's lap. "Oh. Jesus."

Keith tried a bite and was blown away. "God, that's good. What is that, prickly pear?"

"Oh, nice catch! Yeah, I smoked it with some, put some in my barbecue sauce."

"Hunk is a master gastronomist."
Allura grinned. Her wolf relaxed. Keith was no threat, just a starving, lonely man not used to people.

"He deserves the title. Do you eat like this all the time?"

"Oh. Sweetie, not really. We eat well, but this is a party. Most of us have our own spaces in our fridge and
most days, we just cook for ourselves because of our schedules. I'm a bit of a pastry buff, myself. Shiro generally lives off protein shakes and the paleo diet, when he's not hoarding junk. I'm not sure what Pidge eats..." Allura trailed off, making a face, trying to think.
Keith smiled, eating slowly. "I already know Lance's habits. Still going to the taco joint downtown?"

"What can I say? They have the best chorizo and lengua tacos."

"It'd be fine if he'd stop wasting his paychecks on them."

This set off a friendly bickering match that Keith
just sat back and watched, laughing a little here and there. Soon enough, Shiro joined him, plopping down in another chair beside him, shifted. His tail stuck out the back of the chair, wagging slowly.

"How you holding up? Keith?"

The 'human' had his fork in his mouth, staring
up and up and up at Shiro's were-form. Damn he was gorgeous. For just a second, the briefest moment, he felt Coyote take control, his eyes getting that faint galactic glow before it went away.

"Uh...wow. So that's you. Jesus, you're big. Er. Sorry."

"No! No, you're fine. Sorry
I heard the bickering and wanted to make sure they were playing nice. Hey. Relax. You really are safe here."

Shiro's grey eyes were soft, reflecting the warm firelight. He desperately wanted to reach out, brush his claws through Keith's hair, cup his cheek...

The faint blush on
Keith's cheeks was enough, though. Shiro smiled, his tongue lolling out, pleased.

"Yeah. This is really nice. Your whole... thing. Here. I think that's kinda what my Pop wanted, before he died. He wanted his buddies to have a nice place to relax after their hot shot tours. Then
I came along and ruined that."

Keith frowned. "I'm glad you wolves are doing the community center. This town, this county, it needed it."

"Yeah. But I'm glad Lance dragged you out that night. You were the most interesting person there. Do you know how exhausting it is to have
investors, and parents, and city officials talking your ears off? You were calm. I felt like, if I didn't come sit by you, I'd have wolfed out and snapped at somebody. Is that...too much? That's too much. I'm sorry."

Shiro groaned, holding his snout, balancing his plate on his
knees.

Keith finished his plate and set it off to the side. He cautiously got to his feet and moved to stand in front of him.

"You mean that? You...wanted to be near me? What makes me so special? I'm just a human. Just...nothing."

Shiro gingerly let go of his snout to lightly
brush his claws against Keith's fingers. "Wolves have a way of sensing people. We can tell, sometimes, when we've found someone who...fits. Like a puzzle piece. I know we don't know each other, like at all. But... I'd like to get to know you. If you'd let me."
"Are you asking me out?"

"Wha...yes? Wait. Yeah. I mean..."

"Shut up. Fine. But this is a weird way to ask a guy out...Shiro."

Shiro could've howled for joy and so many emotions flooded through him, but he settled for just wagging his tail a little faster as Keith patted Shiro
between his ears, petting very carefully.

Keith huffed in shock. "I've never dated a werewolf before. Or patted one....unless you count Lance during a hangover..."

"Ooohhhh grooooss...moment ruined...." Shiro whined and huffed, sitting back. He smiled so brightly up at Keith,
who could only blush harder. He shifted his stance just a little. He was...uncomfy. For Reasons. SHiro's eyes flicked down, then back up but let Keith draw back and shyly retake his seat, crossing his legs.

Keith thought hard about motorcycles. Frogs. Kosmo.

"So... tell me
about you? I smell...horses?"

"Bless you. Yeah. My Pop had a ranch, had some horses. I board them all at the Olkari Estate now. My best boy is Kosmo, a mammoth mule."

"You have one of those? Wow! I... I've never ridden a horse before. My parents weren't big on pets, let alone
letting me have a horse. I wanted one though. I used to love going to the zoo, but I never did the pony rides. Back then, wolf kids weren't allowed if they were too young."

"Yeah, that was a stupid rule. Horses are great. You could...come out? Sometime? I could teach you how to
ride? I could start you on Persephone. She's my best trainer. Really gentle. Big and strong though. Since, you know, you eat your body weight in junk."

"Hey!" Shiro pouted then chuckled. "I'd love that."

They spent another good couple hours chatting, no more heavy talk. It was
nice. Really nice. Keith felt more and more safe. Allura even seemed to relax around him, talking horse kid stuff (she'd had a horse as a girl back in England), which led to him scheduling a trail ride AND a date.

He finally started to get sleepy, from the great food, good
company, and the warm fuzzies he got from agreeing to go on a date. With the most well known alpha. Holy shit.

He yawned and stretched, his teeth going sharp for just a moment before receding back to human.

"Well, I think I better head out."

"I'll walk you to your bike."
"I'd like that. Night everyone. Good meeting all of you." A chorus of nights, and goodbyes, and see ya laters sounded off. Pidge even looked at him, gave him a smile and a wave. Neat.

They made it up to the bike and Keith swung his leg over it.

Shiro's brain nearly short
circuited, suddenly imagining Keith swinging that leg over his hips.

"Thank you for coming, Keith. And... I hope you know, i really like you." Shiro blushed, just a little, now that he was back in human form.

"I think I really like you too, I'm glad you asked. I uh. I enjoyed
tonight."

"Keith? Can I kiss you?"

"I hope so." Keith looked like he'd sucked in a lemon at his own boldness. Fucking coyote was keeeeening.

Sweetly, Shiro cupped Keith's face and lowered down, kissing him so softly. He drew back, eyes shining. "Wow" Shiro had a funny, punch-
drunk smile on his face, looking elated. Keith knew he looked much the same, before reaching up to pull Shiro back down to kiss him lightly one more time before thunking his forehead to Shiro's.

"Yeah. Wow. Holy wow. I better go though. I don't..."

"No, yeah. You're right. We
better stop. Right?"

"Shouldn't rush things. See you later, Shirogane." Keith grinned, crows feet crinkling at the sides of his eyes. He pulled on his helmet and Shiro stepped back, looking very pleased with himself.

"Catch you later, Kogane." The bike started and Keith waved
before rumbling away. Shiro watched those tail lights vanish before he gave in to the happy squeal. Jumping around, punching at the air.

Allura stepped up, smiling at her co-alpha. "Well done, Darling. He seems like a very sweet man. I hope this works out well. I quite like him
for you. You haven't been this excited in a long time."

"Thank you. He...he let me kiss him. Sis, he let me kiss him and didn't freak out. He... I could smell him. Wolf wanted to claim him then and there."

Allura daintily sniffed the air as well, but wrinkled her nose. "Ugh,
boy germs. Gross." She grinned though. "Be careful with him. He's been through a lot. I know how badly you want him, but we can't risk hurting him, or scaring him away. I agree, he'd be a great addition to the pack. He just needs to be given time, I think."

"You're right. But
I think I need another shower. I smell like smoke."

Allura narrowed her eyes but Shiro was already slinking away, tail between his legs. "MEN ARE GROSS!" She hollered after him.

~~~
Miles away, Keith had showered again, was still in his shower ( nsfw ) panting heavily under
hot spray, his cock resting heavy and flushed in his hand as he bucked into it, the tapered tip leaking heavily. All he could think about was Shiro, imagining how the alpha would pin him, bite at his scruff, grind that massive cock against his ass.
Maybe he'd be violent, pinning
his arms over his head, taking, demanding, ignoring Keith's cries and moans and yelps. Or, more likely, he'd undo Keith, take him apart slowly. Making him sob with how gentle he might be.
Keith gasped as his orgasm hit him so suddenly, his knot filling up his hand as he came,
hips stuttering harshly as he splattered the wall of his shower, sobbing out Shiro's name.
"Sh-Shiro. Alpha...please...hnnggg..." He leaned against the other wall, rinsing away his mess before he sank to his knees. He'd shifted halfway through what was supposed to be a normal
shower, not a jerk session. The dark coyote breathing hard. They'd needed that release. Keith sighed, holding his knot gently until he could relax, shivering as the water turned cold.
He got out, feeling... better. Relieved in more than just one way. Calmer, less worried. The
future still loomed, but Keith?
He felt like he could handle it, now.
He snuggled into his towel, drying off and sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the tv as he daydreamed like a teenager.
Eventually, he fell asleep, a smile on his lips and the worry lines on his face
a little smaller.
It was the first peaceful sleep he'd had in ages.
(End part 5!)
Well, hows it going? what do you think? Keith's secret is still safe.
Shiro is in love, Allura's all for it! But happiness doesn't last forever, not for our boys!
(Part 6 of Were #sheith shenanigations!)
Shiro and Keith had exchanged cell numbers the night of the party and had been texting back and forth when each were able.
They settled on going riding for that next Saturday. Neither man had anything else going on and Keith was excited
to show Shiro his passion.
Keith could barely sleep, he was vibrating with excitement. Coyote croo'd and sang in equal measure.
'This is going to be so fun! We love Kosmo, he's gunna enjoy this!'
"Kosmo is absolutely going to get a kick...or two... out of this. Now hush. We
have to sleep."
~~~

That Sat morning, Shiro glared at his closet. What could he wear? What SHOULD he wear? What was Keith gunna wear????

'OMG Shiro! Jeans, shirt, sturdy shoes. This isn't rocket surgery!' Wolf grumbled, having more sense than the excited man.

"You're right.
You are absolutely right. Ok. So...Red plaid? Black and grey?"

'UGH!'

~~~
Shiro arrived precisely on time at Mrs Olkari's stables, pulling into the visitor lot and hopping out.
Keith was dressed in an oversized red plaid shirt and his usual close fitting jeans. Today, he wore
sunglasses and had his long hair plaited loosely behind him.
He'd shaved off his scruff and it made him look so young. He walked out of the barn, wiping his hands on a towel.
"Hey Big Guy! You made it!" The smile that broke over Keith's lips was like the morning sun to Shiro
and he returned it in kind, reaching out to the smaller man who ducked his head and came in for a hug.
"Of course I did. Hardest part was picking out what to wear..." Shiro buried his nose in Keith's hair, smelling only the human's shampoo, and dirt and Horse. There might have
been a faint whiff of canid, too, but he'd seen a couple border collies lounging on the Olkari's front porch.
Keith patted Shiro's chest, a bit shyly as he drew back and stepped away, clearing his throat a little.
"Are you ready to come meet Persephone and Kosmo?"
"As I'll
ever be."
Keith grinned and suddenly, Shiro had a sneaking suspicion he was in danger.
Keith gestured for Shiro to follow him into the barn and Shiro stuck close.
He sniffed the air and smelled...horse. His nose wrinkled and he snorted a bit.
"I guess this would be a lot
ya. You ok? You got this?"
"Yeah. Just, the smell is new, and A Lot. Just acclimating." Suddenly, a horse stuck their face right out of the stall, braying, looking right at Keith. If Shiro skreeeeemed, he wasn't admitting it as he jumped behind the other man.
"Easy, everyone.
Easy. Now, Gillie. You know that's rude. You aren't going, this time." Keith stepped up, putting his gloved palm onto the nose of the interested quarter horse who lipped at him and snorted.
"Not this time. Shiro's a newb and you aren't nice to new riders. Too sassy. Sassy boy."
Shiro watched, enraptured at the way Keith handled the far larger animal.
"Sorry about that. Gillie is Mrs Olkari's favorite, but he can be a real asshole and he really only listens to her. Come meet your girl." Keith led him to another stall, opening it and clipping a lead on
bridle of the horse inside, drawing her out into the aisle. "Here's your girl. This is Persephone."
This quarter horse was older and had deep, warm brown eyes that gave Shiro an idle once over before nosing at Keith for treats. When Keith did not produce, she turned and looked
at Shiro expectantly. Slyly, Keith slide some into Shiro's hand. "Hold your hand out, fingers flat. Just like that. Good. She won't bite."
Shiro went stock still, doing as told and Perse daintily took the treats before checking him out for more. Shiro exhaled.
"She's beautiful
and very understanding. And big."
"Hah, yeah. She's pretty big even for a quarter horse, but she's gentle and easy. Normally, I'd show you how to kit her up, but I'm just gunna get her ready real quick and take you to the mounting block."
Shiro's wolf side twitched at that.
Mounting block? Kinky... When it turned out to be literally just a step stool to help him get up onto the horse, he was... a lil disappointed, but as Keith adjusted various straps and stirrups and gave Shiro a run down on how to move the horse below him, Shiro wiggled in the
saddle.
"She's not even bothered that I'm a werewolf."
"Yeah, she doesn't give a shit who or what you are as long as you pay her in treats. That's why she's faaaat." Keith patted her shoulder and she swished her tail.
"Go ahead and move her in a circle around the arena. I'm
gunna go get Kosmo."
Shiro did as told and the pair settled into him going around in circles, getting a feel for what to do.
When Keith rode in on the massive mule, Shiro stopped short. Kosmo was a deep grey animal, powerful and a handful. Keith let him gallop into the ring,
wrestling for control.
"Come on, you jackass. Settle down. Settle. Don't you try and bite me, you little shit." Keith yanked on the reigns and Kosmo brayed in anger, or so it seemed. "Stop showing off to Perse, dumbass."
That made the mule stop and look to see if the horse was
watching. She glanced up at him then looked away. Kosmo hung his head low, ears flopping loosely.
"You big baby. Are you done now?" -sigh- "I thought so. Hey, Shiro, sorry about that. He likes to show off for his girlfriend. I just gotta get our picnic stuff and then we can go."
Shiro was just staring at him open mouthed. He'd been ready to wolf out and stop the mule from acting up, but it had all been a front. "I'll be damned..."
"He's a mammoth mule, half draft horse half donkey. His daddy was real proud that he got to cover a big mare like his mama.
Anyway, I brought water and some hard ciders and some stuff to make sandwiches when we get to the spot...is that ok?"
"More than ok! Thank you, Keith, this is so neat!" He reached down to pet Perse's neck and she nickered softly, nodding passively.
Keith found himself flushing
faintly before double checking his and Shiro's straps and hopping back up on a far more well behaved Kosmo's back.
The ride out was easy, walking the two equines side by side, quietly taking in the scenery in the 11am light.
Keith looked so comfortable, so relaxed on his mule
that it made Shiro wonder what would cause him so much stress. The way the light slipped over the hills and lit Keith up, making him glow.
His shoulders were relaxed, his face peaceful. This was where Keith was happiest, and most free.
"Lance would hate this."
"Haha, yeah he
does. So much. I bet Allura will make him come out though, now that she knows this is here."
"Pidge would film the entire thing to piss him off."
"Oh god, they would. I'd pay 'em $30 to see it. And share it. How's yer ass doin? Ready for a break?"
"I feel like any answer is
gunna get me in trouble, there."
"You jerk." Keith blushed anyway but smiled. "We're almost to the spot. I really hope you like it."
The spot Keith had chosen was a little glade, shaded by a rock formation with a few sprays of desert grasses. There was some water nearby and as
they dismounted, the mule and horse knew right where to go.
Together, they unpacked and set up the picnic, settling down in the shade.
"So how's this for a first date?" Keith gestured with his hand holding a bottle of cider out at the scene before him, the late morning light
showing the beauty of the Arizona countryside.
"I wouldn't be able to pick something better. Thank you, Keith. This is amazing." Shiro leaned over and konked his head against Keith's lightly. "Now what kind of sammiches did you pack?"
Keith's laugh was all Shiro needed. Also
the choices of salami, ham, and roast beef. It was perfect.
~~~

They ate and talked some more before Keith slowly leaned against Shiro, yawning. His teeth went sharp for a second and this time...Shiro saw it. But Keith was gazing dozy eyed at his side and though his wolf went a
bit stiff, he looped his arm around the smaller man. Alone, this far out, anything could happen.

The next thing Shiro knew, he was jolting awake at the sound of Kosmo stomping one massive hoof.

"Shh. Don't move. This is part of Kosmo's job." Keith whispered in Shiro's ear.
Several meters away, a lone coyote was pacing cautiously, wanting to come to the water.

Shiro felt himself shift and lifted his lips as he stared past the mule at the coyote.

It ducked it's head but pressed forward, trying to snap at Kosmo, who just flicked one ear lazily and
pounced forward in two hops, driving the coyote back. It yipped in fear and ran off.

Keith was standing up, packing things. "Guess that's our cue that we've over stayed our welcome."

"That was a fucking coyote. A coyote....this far into our territory."

"Shiro. Hey. Relax. She
's just a local feral. Her and Kosmo have had a thing for a couple years now. I've been calling her Sugar. Besides, you can't hurt her, she's a forestry collar. Keeping an eye on the wild population."

"Oh."

"Yeah. She takes a few snaps at Kosmo, he gives a stomp or two and they
both drink. He doesn't really mind her and she couldn't hurt him if she really wanted to. See how small she is? He'd just sit on her."

But Keith wasn't looking at Shiro now and the werewolf's ears pricked forward at his earnest defense of the coyote. Something...didn't sit right
but Keith's words rang honest. It drove home how little they knew about each other.

"I guess it's ust weird to not just see a coyote, but see how nobody reacted, really. It's hard, after the coyote war, to trust."

"I dig it. I'm just a boring human who comes by." Keith liiiied.
"I leave extra food out for her sometimes. She's kinda cute. Reminds me a little of Pidge. Anyway, Perse didn't even react. She trusts Kosmo to protect her from any big bads, and Sugar is the least dangerous thing out here."

Shiro tipped his head. "More dangerous than a feral?"
"Uh. Yeah? Scorpions, rattlesnakes, the odd tarantula or other spiders? Definitely."

Shiro shifted back, feeling the tenseness. "I'm sorry I overreacted. You're right."

"Nah, it's... I forgot that that was a thing. I remember Sherriff Iverson telling me about it." Another lie.
"I'm sorry Sugar scared you, though." Keith frowned, looking upset. "I just wanted you to have a...oh..."

Shiro pulled Keith in for a tight hug. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry, this was perfect and I was being prejudicial. I shouldn't have brought pack politics into our date, and I did."
Keith sighed against Shiro's chest, nuzzling, just a little. He was about to reply when Kosmo suddenly brayed, a real, fearful sound just as Mrs Olkari galloped up on Gillie.

"Keith, ya gotta come back to the ranch, Iverson's there. Something happened at your Pop's place. Shiro
it's nice to meet you, but I need you to go home, now."

The old woman's eyes flashed golden at the Alpha and he nodded back. Hawk shifters were well respected. "I can make it back with Perse."

"Just put her in the ring and close the gate. I'll take care of her." The woman
nodded as Keith got on Kosmo and booked it back to the ranch, leaving Shiro and Perse alone in the dust.

'Keith is scared. Wolf takes me home?' Perse tipped her head at the shifted Alpha who blinked.

"Yes. I will take you home."

'Good. I want apples.'

END PART 6! 😈
HEYYYYYYY FRENZ Ready for more #sheith weres? I'm sorry it's taken me this long to get to part 6 (and cliffhangering yall on accident) I've not been feeling very good this week between unknown non covid summer illness and a major depressive episode.
I'M BACK! Let's continue...
Shiro sat at the small breakfast bar in his kitchen, staring hard at his phone.

It had been almost 24 hours since that amazing date with Keith that had been ruined by news that something had happened to Keith's place.

He hadn't heard from Keith since.

He was getting worried.
He inhaled slowly, then exhaled.

Then furiously texted Lance, and then Hunk.

And then Allura. And then Hunk again.

"Woah, Boss! Woah. Chill out, man. I'm gunna be home in 5 minutes. Drink some water, man. I'll be right there." Hunk messaged back first and Shiro dropped his
head on the counter with a thunk.

He did as told, though. One thing Hunk didn't joke about was hydration and mental health.

Hunk came home smelling like smoked meats and spices from Clocktower and Shiro rumbled, shifting to wag his tail slowly.

"I'm sorry, Hunk. I'm just so
worried. I guess I could push it and call the Sherriff, but that seems like I'm pushing it, right? Being overbearing? I get the feeling Iverson's not the type I should poke at for info... right?"

Hunk had his serious face on, inhaling, getting the scent of his Alpha's worry, a
little of his anger so Hunk, still not having said a word, shoved some food at the black wolf.

"You need to calm down. I'm sure Keith is just dealing with a lot. He doesn't seem like the type to ghost anyone from what you and Lance have said and from the vibes I got at the cook
out. Depending on what happened, he might be dealing with police and some of his own trouble, ya know? Now eat, Boss. Or else."

Shiro's ears drooped but he ate. "I did good only messaging him twice, right?"

Hunk smiled rolled his eyes. Shiro could be so hopeless.

"Gimme your
phone, dude. Let's see. Hey babe, everything good....are you alright, I'm worried...Yeah, you did good, Boss. Oh! Shit, he's replying. Here, take it back!" Hunk shoved the phone at Shiro who grabbed it, nearly dropping it as it chimed several times in a row.

"Shiro! Hey! I'm so
so so so so sorry. I'm alright, but one of my outbuildings got set on fire and trashed. It damaged one of my generators, and there was some grafiti. Something about being a traitor, I don't know. Gangland shit, I guess. I can't afford a new generator, I'm at a coffee place
downtown, using their wifi. someone busted a couple of my solar panels. It's pretty bad, with my place being so far out of town. Iverson said he'd put me up at his place for a while, but I don't know what I'm gunna do.

This isn't your problem, though. I'm sorry. I'll figure it
out."

"Keith, hey. No problem. I'm just glad you're ok. Don't...You can stay at my apartment. I have a place I keep not far from the city center for when me or 'Lura have to give up our rooms at the farmhouse. No one's using it right now. If you want, it's all yours. I can meet
you at the coffee place. Is it ok if I bring Hunk?"

"Shiro, I...yeah. Yeah. Hunk's fine. Nobody else though. Please?" Even just in text, that please broke Shiro's heart. Keith didn't deserve this happening to him. Hunk nodded, giving him a thumbs up and grabbing the keys to the
truck, tossing them to Shiro.

Keith messaged the location he was at and the two werewolves headed over. As soon as he'd put the truck in park and turned it off, Shiro was out of the vehicle, rushing to Keith and grabbing him close in a tight hug, nuzzling into Keith's neck. He
got an overwhelming smell of stress off the man, stress, fear, shame.

"Oh baby, I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He peppered Keith's face with soft little kisses as the man held onto his wrists, dressed still in yesterday's clothes, tears welling at the edges of his pretty indigo eyes.
One of Keith's coping mechanisms with all the shit he'd dealt with in his life was pretending he was strong, aloof, uncaring. With his face still scruffy and unshaven, dark bags under his wet eyes, he nearly broke, right there on the street as he buried his face in Shiro's chest
and tried to breathe through his sadness.

"Iv-iverson said I can't go home. Place is a crime scene. I couldn't get anything but some paperwork, whatever I could fit in my backpack while Iverson stood watch. I just... Why? Why do I keep running into all this bad luck? What'd I
do?" Keith whimpered pathetically, sagging against the larger, stronger man who held onto him effortlessly, looking so lost, but wanting to do anything he could for his boyfriend.

"First, what we're gunna do is get you to that apartment and then, we're gunna take a nap."

Hunk
chimed in, "First, you're both gunna drink some water, then I'll head to the restaurant and get some food, there's nothing in that fridge that's edible if I know my Alphas." Hunk's easy smile had Keith smiling shyly at the heavy set brown wolf who offered Keith an easy smile as
he cautiously came closer and patted the human on his back so gently. "My love language is feeding my friends and family, that's what my girlfriend says. It must be true. Shay's never wrong!"

"Thank you, Hunk. I appreciate all your help. I just...I don't wanna take advantage."
Keith started to panic again. "I'll get everything sorted at home as fast as I can..."

Both Hunk AND Shiro started shaking their heads.

"No way, dude! You stay as long as you gotta! You're skinny, you need to eat!"

"Baby (that pet name again, Keith shivered despite the 100
degree heat) You aren't taking advantage of anyone here. This is what the pack does. You're part of the pack. I will help you. WE will help you. Ok? Now let's get to the apartment." Shiro's words were decisive and Keith sighed, obeying as the two bigger wolves bundled him into
the truck.

~~~
None of them noticed the pale blue eyes watching them from a few doors down, or the lip that curled up in disgust.
~~~

Keith's coyote was locked down harder than fort knox in the presence of not just the Alpha, but also his far too kind Beta. But he couldn't
help slumping down, keening softly in his stress, his mind working in overdrive.

It only stopped when he felt Hunk's hand tap the top of his knee from the front seat.

"Easy, dude. You're alright. You are safe, and cared for. Shiro is a great Alpha, and I hear he's a great bf
too, not that I'd know anything about that." He grinned and winked at Keith who flushed and huffed a little laugh.

In no time, they were in a nice though spartan 3bdrm apartment with a good view of the city. It smelled like wolves, but in a pleasant way, like the cedars and
the sun. Keith felt like the dirtiest stray dog, but figured that was penance for being a werecoyote.

Hunk snagged Shiro's keys and headed out to get food, hollering "KEEP IT PG, MY DUDES" as he left. Shiro blushed so darkly, like he'd been caught which m ade Keith bark out a
laugh even as he stood awkwardly in the entryway.

(Apartments are based off The Lodge? i guess, thanks g/oogle search! lol)

"Keith..." Shiro gave him A Look and the smaller man blinked owlishly at him.

"Whut?"

"Please, love. Come on. You need a shower, you need to change."
"Hunk said keep things PG." Keith tried. He could smell himself though.

"Oh...no. No, baby. No. I'm not...I have some pants and tshirts... I'm so sorry. I just...you already feel like home...like...you're part of us? You fit...well. Not my clothes."

Again, that rough, barking
laugh. "I left all my clothes at my place...I have some things here in my bag..."

When the human offered it up to Shiro, he took it tenderly, eyeballing the few ratty things in there.

"We are never showing these to Allura. She will haul you in for a makeover before you can say
'get help'. Is it Ok if I take you out shopping tomorrow? Just for some basic stuff?"

"You're just trying to get in my pants...." Keith relaxed in degrees and his lil joke made Shiro bark out this time.

"Other way around, love! You're gunna wear mine! At least for tonight...
I like that thought. You wearing my clothes..." Shiro shifted and Keith rolled his eyes.

"Easy, horndog. We're keeping things PG tonight."

Shiro drooped, laying down on the floor, trying to look as pathetic as possible.

"I know. I know a little about you wolves. But I'm a
private person, Shiro. I've had to be. I don't have a pack, I don't even have a family. I'm not used to...this..."

The black wolf sat up, ears low as he whined, tipping his head.

"Thank you for not being pushy. You're a good man. A good boyfriend. I know you're just being
silly." The wolf bounced up and gave Keith a very sweet smooch right in the middle of his face, making Keith laugh and shove Shiro back.

"Let me get those clothes for you?" THe rough voice of Wolf Shiro sent shivers down Keith's spine again.

"Sure, hon." Keith smiled as Shiro
shifted back, leading the way into the bedroom he usually used, getting out an old pair of loose cotton pants and a simple t-shirt, handing them to Keith then leading him to the shower, showing him his and Allura's stashes of shampoos and bodywashes.

"Would you like a razor
too? I have an unopened pack in the pantry there. And here's a towel..."

"Yes please. Jesus christ this towel's huge!"

"Haha! yeah, wolf sized towels only!"

"Are you sure it's not a terry cloth toga..." Keith held it up eyeing it and lifting a brow. Shiro snorted, grinning.
"On you? definitely."

"Rude! Ok. I'm gunna shower. Out. OUT!" He shoved shiro out of the bathroom, both men laughing. The tension draining out of them both.

As Keith got cleaned up, Shiro got some dishes out for the three of them and called Allura to let her know what was up
and that he'd be off work for a week to help Keith out. Then he turned on some of the lamps and sat down on his giant comfy sectional, stretching out on the chaise and putting on the tv to some D. Attenborough docs. His favorite!

~~~
Meanwhile, Keith stood under the perfect
hot spray, watching the grime from the trail ride, the ash, the grime from the last night drain away.
He felt almost like crying again, but then...then he felt anger. Anger at the assholes who did this, who ruined his meager peace. He shifted to his coyote form, knowing his
door was locked and bared his teeth, eyes flashing, ears up high even as he looked like a drowned pomeranian...or...a really vicious looking dog...either way.
Finally, his emotions gave way to relief, trust, love. Not full trust...how could a little thing like him ever fully
trust a werewolf? But he trusted Shiro to take care of him, trusted Hunk to not let him starve to death and to treat him with dignity.
Hell, he'd even LET Allura take him shopping. But he didn't want to get too comfy in this new life he'd stepped into. Bad things seemed to dog
him at every step and he didn't want to make Shiro into a sugar daddy...
Mmm Daddy though...He bet Shiro would like getting called that, the same way Keith loved being called Baby by him. No. NO. Bad Keith. you are a GUEST. Also, food. FOOOOOOOD! Coyote whined in hunger, his
tummy rolling. He hadn't eaten since their trail ride.
Finally, Keith was done with his shower, shifting back to human and smelling like Shiro all over (if he made sure to use extra soap in certain spots several times to absolutely make SURE that smell stayed, who could blame
him?) Keith blushed cutely until he caught himself in the mirror and growled at his own reflection. He looked like a terrier. All scruffy and bleh...
He shaved and washed his face, feeling a million times better. He even snagged one of Shiro's brushes, brushing out his long
hair.
Had it really grown down to his shoulder blades? He fluffed and fussed at it for a bit and resolved to ask Shiro to braid it for him.
He put on the borrowed clothes, practically swimming in both and pulled the drawstring as tight as he could before padding barefoot out
to the living room.
Shiro had fallen asleep with the evening sunlight falling on him. It was so lovely. He smiled and as he walked over, he called Shiro's name.
"Shiro? Hey, babe, wake up." He reached down, intending to gently wake Shiro up, but just as he touched him, Shiro
groaned.
"Rurrrrr Keef..." He sleepily rumbled, squirming a bit on the lounger. The still asleep werewolf reached down to tug at his pants a bit and whined. "Mmmmm good mate. Soft, sweet mate..."
Coyote wanted to whine and agree. He COULD be a good mate! A good, sweet,
pliant, submissive mate. But not yet. Wasn't safe. Not safe, not here. But ohh as the Alpha rumbled and grumbled and wriggled his hips, Keith sighed. Sorry, Coyote, but we can't. Not yet.
"Shiro. hey. Wake up, love. Hunk will be back with food soon."
Shiro's brows furrowed and
he took a deep breath, starting to wake up. "Don't want Hunk. Want Keef."
"I know, but you gotta wake up, there's food. Plus I need you to help me with my hair."
"Arrrrhhhhhmmmmmk I love Keef."
"I love Shiro." Keith smiled kindly and smooched Shiro's forehead as he blinked
awake.
"Ohh it;s you! Mmm I was dreaming... I was...ohhhh...shit..." Shiro looked like he sucked a lemon, flushing in embarassment. Keith only laughed and pressed a kiss to Shiro's lips.
"That's ok. Perfectly normal for young boys to have wet dreams..." He teased as Shiro
growled and playfully grabbed him and pulled him down, snuffling all over him.
"Aaaahahahaha Shiro! Ah! it tickles! git yer nose outta my neck! Shiro!" He snapped, laughing as the werewolf rolled them over, making Keith yelp as they fell on the floor until Shiro's snuffling got
a bit more heated, the wolf taking long inhalations at Keith's strongest scent spots: at his armpits, his neck. He had Keith on his belly below him and Keith knew full well how Not Good this was, but Damn if the wolf didn't just exude adoration.
"You...you smell like me? You
used my wash? You wanted to smell like me? Oh Keith, Keith, you smell so good. You smell like... like mine..." Shiro growled low in his throat and Keith squeaked as the bigger wolf rolled his jeans-trapped hardon against the thin fabric that separated them. Keith whined. And then
he did his best human voiced growl.
that made Shiro stop short as Keith growled again, baring short little human teeth. "Shiro! You stop! Rude to boyfriend. Bad Alpha. Bad. Rude!" Shiro yiped and reeled back on his butt, his tail curling between his legs.
"Oh...Oh, Bad Alpha.
Keef is right, bad Alpha. I sorry."
"You silly knothead. No breed. Not yet. Not ready." Keith slapped his hands together right infront of Shiro's nose and it startled him eough to drop back into human form and shake his head.
"Wow, jesus. I am so sorry! What the hell was that??
Are you ok? I didn't...oh god, I'm gunna be sick."
"Shiro! Shiro, calm down! Hey! Listen to me. Listen to me. I love that your wolf also likes me. Ok? I get it. I know enough about wolves and also myself. I want you. Yes, like that. God, have you SEEN you? You are so hot and so
good and I have so little to give back but you are pretty much listening when I tell you to stop. You are being good. I am sorry i said you were bad. you aren't. Not at all, I just...I'm not quite ready for that, even if its just meaningless fucking."
"Not meaningless. You'd
never be meaningless to me." Shiro was so earnest. He took Keiths hands in his own. "I'm sorry. I think i had a hard time waking up. It's not an excuse, but I'll be better and stop acting like a teen at you. You're amazing...and you look so cute after your shower..."
"God yes,
that shower is amazing. I feel so much better. But I do need your help."
"Anything!"
And that's how Hunk found them, with Shiro trying, again, to braid Keith's long hair while Keith bit his lip to not laugh at his efforts while a documentary on birds played on TV.
"Hey guys!
I brought a bunch of stuff. I stopped at the store on the way home, I forgot to ask if you could cook, Keith. I'm sorry."
"I don't think i've got steady enough hands to cook right now, but I can do a mean boxed mac n cheese! Hey don't make that face!"
"Hah! Sorry, bro. Boxed
mac. Well, you're at least a step up from Matt. He burns water. It defies physics, I swear to god. I got some cereal, some milk, stuff for sandwiches. Yes, Shiro, i got the good roast beef this time. Jeesh. He loves that stuff. I brought some microwavable stuff from Clocktower.
There's enough in each pack for 2 wolves, which... i know you're human, but you need to eat. And I brought some bread and some whipped butter, and some fresh veggies."
"Ooo! baby carrots! yes!" Keith stole a little pack and tore it open, happily munching. At Hunk's smirk Keith
just shrugged.
"I have horses and a mammoth mule. We like to share carrots, as one does."
"Well, at least one of you knows what a vegetable is."
"Hunk! I'm wounded...why do you hate meeeee?" Shiro flopped on the actual dining table and made puppy ees at Hunk, who just ignored
him. Shiro huffed and finished setting the table as Keith and Hunk brought the nights food over.
They talked as they ate, with hunk asking Keith a million questions about the horses and if he thought Hunk'd be too big to ride any of them.
"Honestly, nah. You'd be fine on my
boy Kosmo's mom. She's were-trained and really strong. A few years ago, i had this werebear family and the dad was HUGE. No problems at all!"
Hunk sighed in relief. "Oh good. My girlfriend Shay is a werebear and almost as big as me."
"Dude, yer golden. Why do you ask?"
"Well. Shay's birthday is later this month and I have no clue what to do for her. We've been dating for 6 years."
"Dude. Nice! Congratulations!" Hunk grinned, pleased. "Hey, how about you get with me next week, yeah? once all this stuff settles for me. I can see about like a
romantic trail ride?"
"You are a life saver! Thank you, she'd've had my hide..."
They laughed and finished up dinner with Shiro and Hunk talking about a few pack things while Keith flopped onto the couch, feeling full for the first time in ages, and feeling warm and soft.
Shiro came and sat on the floor in front of Keith and rested his chin on the man's knee. "How you feeling bout everything?"
Keith yawned a little and settled back, reaching to run his fingers through Shiro's floof.
"Better. Calmer. I actually think earlier even helped a little." Shiro hid his face on the other side of Keith's knee and laughed.
"Well its good to know wolf hormones are good for
somethin. I'm glad you're feeling better. You look and smell better, even under my smells."
Keith sighed, happy and yawned again.
"Alright guys. Everything's put up. See ya tomorrow, and Keith? I know...things are kinda rough right now but if you need a job? I got room at
Clocktower, even if it's just temporary. Alright. I gotta run, Lance wants...something... Later nerds!"
"Bye Hunk, thank you! I'll let ya know." Hunk waved as he left and Shiro climbed up next to Keith on the sofa, curling his prosthetic arm around Keith who just went limp
against Shiro's side with a happy hum.
Then, he was asleep with Shhiro's fingers slowly carding against his scalp.
'How can it be we fell so hard so fast for this scruffy pup?' Wolf wondered fondly.
"It's been a long time since we had a real connection with someone and we're
suckers for someone in need. And Keith needs us."
'He does. But, hey. Did you smell something odd? When we picked him up at the coffee shop? It was canid, but not wolf or dog...I dunn if it was environmental...'
"Was it bad?"
'Hmm. No. Scared. Scared canid but when we got
closer to Keith, it faded away. Maybe a feral coyote was there over night. You know they come into town sometimes, diggin for scraps.'
Well, if Wolf was unconcerned, then Shiro wouldn't worry about it. He gathered the sleeping Keith up in his arms as easily as a bag of chips and
carried him into the bedroom, laying him out on the bed and gazing down at him with such love. He pulled the blankets up around the human and laid down beside him on top of the blankets after stripping to his boxers (with cute lil penguins on them) and drifted to sleep with his
paw resting on Keith's covered hip.
(End part 8! There you go, what do you think??? As always, tell me all the things! ask me all the questions! Love all the goofy pupbois!)
Part 8 i mean. Jesus.
HEY BABIES! Welcome to Part 9 of #sheith weres! I need a title for this fic, stg. Anyway, these next few parts are gunna have a lot of song links in there because i need it and theres so many feels.
Are you ready for the hurt???
Let's go.
The next couple days went on like that. During the day, Shiro would go to work and Keith would talk to Iverson, or go out to Mrs Olkari's place and go for rides, or work the animals.
Iverson was no closer to finding out who, exactly, had torched Keith's barn, but he warned the
man that there's been reports of an uptick in gang activity with the summer getting hotter.
"These kids' brains are frying, god damn global warming. Can't find nuthin better to do. And watch out for ferals, kid. I already told Martha to lock up her dogs at night and puttin word
out. I'm sure Shiro and them already know. Be careful, kid. I trust your judgment in this, but something's on the wind."
Keith took the warnings seriously, letting Shiro know what Iverson told him. Well. Mostly.
He eventually sorted out Hunk's surprise party for Shay and was
actually looking forward to it. It was nice, not being all alone anymore.
And at night... When Shiro came home from the office, Keith was usually there to greet the Alpha with a hug, or commiserating backpat as he complained about coworkers, or that one guy who keeps trying to
flirt with him and Shiro may have to go to HR about it cause its really just getting sad at this point.
Then they relax and Keith makes dinner and they watch tv, snuggling until they get sleepy and go to bed.
It's so domestic.
"I wonder...if this is how my Pop and mom were..."
Keith comments one night as they lay in bed. Shiro rolls toward him with a questioning sound.
"I mean, this has all been like such a dream. I feel like...the rug's gunna pull out any second."
"Oh baby, no. I want this for you always. You're so strong, you've been doing so well
after everything with the fire. And I know they haven't caught them yet, but they will. Have you thought about Hunk's offer? I hope you know you don't have to take it. I don't want you to think you gotta pay me or any of us back for anything. You will never be a burden to us. Or
to me. Definitely to Lance, though."
Keith had been about to say something, but then laughed. "He's still trying too hard. I think Allura's just playing with him at this point. She likes it when he gets all riled up. So...you like being my sugar daddy huh?"
Keith smirked and
leaned over to kiss Shiro who grinned against his boyfriends lips.
"You bet. I told Allura if she takes you out, she's gotta make you buy some sexy outfits so you can give me a show later." Shiro rolled onto his back and Keith moved to straddle his thighs.
(cw: nsfw here on)
"Oh you think so? Hm? What, you don't like my tighty whities? Huh?" he started poking Shiro in the ribs and on his tummy making the wolf giggle and squirm and buck. Of course, Keith being an expert horseman moved easily and was not about to be dislodged.
"Come on, you think you
know you can't get me off. I-oop..." Shiro grinned evilly at Keith and grabbed him by his waist and -yanked- him up, making him sit right on his trapped cock, already hard at the thought, the mere THOUGHT of Keith dressing pretty just for him.
"Bet. Bet I could...I can smell
every night how you want me. How you hold back. Please, baby. Please..."
Keith bit his lip and gave his hips a little experimental rock, gasping at the way his own trapped hard on rubbed against Shiro's. He tipped his head back, his braid falling heavy over his shoulder and down
his back. "Shiro....Takashi...We shouldn't..."
Shiro leaned up and licked a slow stripe up Keith's throat. "I'll stop if you tell me, Little Love. Tell me to stop."
Keith made a low sound, biting his lip hard as he allowed Shiro to pull the t-shirt up and off, flinging it away.
He reached his hands up to slowly push up Keith's hard stomach, feeling it flutter under his warm hands. Shiro brushed his thumbs over Keith's nipples, watching the buds harden. "Please, Love." Shiro breathed out, eyes widening.
Neither man was inexperienced, but this push and
pull between them...Keith's reticence. Shiro's aching need to be Keith's. To have Keith. Wolf agreed, Keith was IT. His. Always. A perfect mate. the ONLY mate.
Strength and steel, emotion, trust... Shiro kept his prosthetic at Keith's chest, pinching and twisting the little
hard bud while lifting his other hand to Keith's face, brushing his thumb over Keith's cheek and seeing the wetness there.
"I want to. I want to, Takashi. But I've spent so long controlling myself, locking myself down...I'm terrified. I love you, so much, but this feels...
sotoogoodmuch."
"My pretty baby...alright."
Keith moaned as Shiro's hands slid away, back down to his hips and Keith bucked once, twice, dropping his head and curling one hand into a fist, gritting his teeth before jerking his head up and getting an idea.
"I can't give up my
control, but...Daddy..." He tried, Shiro's mouth formed a little o of surprise as Keith slid away, down the man's legs and played his fingers over Shiro's cotton-trapped cock. "Is that alright? Can I call you Daddy?"
"Yesssss...."
"Thank you, Daddy. Now....hands up under your
head. Please? I want...I want to give you this, freely. I've wanted this since I met you, really. I like big men, Daddy. I do. I like big men with big cocks and I like to lick them like a fucking pop, Daddy. Can I lick your lollipop, Shiro?"
"Holy fuck, that mouth. Use that
dirty mouth, baby."
Keith smirked and pulled Shiro's silly penguin boxers down with a yank, freeing Shiro's cock. He was in wolf form already, eyes glazed and needy, cock unsheathed and wet and pink and dripping already. Keith took a shy little kitten lick. That pretty thick
cock leapt, smacking Keith's lips before falling to hit Shiro's own belly with a heavy thud.
"Oh look at you, Daddy. You like it when I lick you? Hm? You already taste so good, Shiro. Thank you. Thank you for trusting me."
He closed his lips over the head and pushed, letting
Shiro part him and rest weighty on his tongue. A tongue that rubbed at the underside, swirled flat and slick and eager. Shiro lifted his hips and Keith looked up at him, sliding down another inch and he hummed approval.
Shiro gasped and could only watch as Keith's mouth
stretched wide, taking him so agonizingly slowly. Keith drew back, just a little, took a breath, slid down further and SHiro barked out a cry, throwing his head back into the pillow.
Keith's eyes sparkled with intent and he gently swallowed around Shiro, began bobbing his head
as his hands slid over Shiro's trembling thighs. He reached those peach fuzzy black balls hanging and cupped them, stroked them as he bobbed, taking more and more of Shiro's cock, groaning.
"Baby, I'm gunna come...I can't..." Keith began to draw off and Shiro's whine of almost
fear Had Keith rumble low and deepthroat his boyfriend, his lover, his daddy, his everything, swallowing against not even all of it, his jaw aching in human form. Shiro's knot got huge and Keith could only imagine what that would feel like, filling his ass.
Shiro was keening,
desperate, shaking with effort to let Keith have all the control for now. This was a gift, Shiro's wolf crooned. A gift from the stars that he saw in his vision as he howled out and came down Keith's throat in great spurts that Keith, face stretched and tearstained, drank down,
some spilling out the sides of the little human's mouth, there was so, so much. Keith drew off his lover with a wet pop, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
"I love you, Shiro." Keith eyed his messy wolf, pleased. "You messy thing. Look at you, what a good Alpha. A good
Alpha giving his mate such a tasty treat. Yes, I know I am your mate....Stars help me...." He knew Shiro was blissed out, spent, trembling in the come-down. Keith sighed. "If only you could know the truth....soon, though. I hope. I want to be yours. I want you to be able to claim
me honestly. I want you to scent me and mark me and make sure everyone knows I am yours...." Keith kissed Shiro's slack mouth and the wolf giggled faintly. The coyote felt something light and happy settle in his heart, a resolution. This was Right. He would tell Shiro within the
week. He got up and got a washcloth to clean the both of them up and to change his own shorts and the massive leak spot on the front of his unders.
He came back to the bedroom to Shiro snuggling into his pillow, watching him with a sated, sleepy look on his fuzzy face. Keith
mirrored the look and snuggled into Shiro, letting the big, very naked still, werewolf curl around him.
~~~

That next morning, a loud knocking at the door had Keith waking up with a start and checking his phone. 3 missed calls, a bunch of texts. It was only 10am, jesus...
"What's going on? Who's there?" Keith grumily whined as he mashed himself agaisnt the door to look out the peephole.

It was Allura and Lance. Thank god he got boxers back on Shiro and got himself dressed when he got up.

"Open the door, Mullet. You're making us look bad." Lance
tried the door knob just as Keith yanked the door open , making Lance fall on his face as Allura elegantly stepped over him.

"I'm sorry Keith, but I thought we agreed to go shopping this morning. I didn't realize you;d still be asleep." She delicately sniffed the air and her
eyes got wide. "Oh, I seeee. Good for you boys. Now I can stop hearing Shiro whine for a few days." Keith blushed and fired back.

"Yeah well. We'd all feel the same way if you'd just mark Lance already. He's insufferable!"

Allura only laughed and Lance frowned comically hard.
"Patience is a virtue and a claiming is serious. My Beta knows this. I'm totally just being mean though." She whispered the last bit out the side of her mouth. Keith just shook his head and laughed.

As he went to make coffee, Shiro groggily walked out, scratching his neck and
moving to flop on Keith as he put in a keurig pod.

Keith just grunted.

"Mornin 'Lura. Mornin Lance, Mornin, baby."

"Morning, Daddy. You ready for coffee?"

"Ew, you call him Daddy?"

Shiro growled faintly but Keith only pointed at Lance, "How many times have I heard you call
Allura 'Mami' and not said a fucking woooord. Don't even start."

"Well...that's...not the same. SHUT UP!"

"Aw, don't pout, sweetheart. It will give you wrinkles."

"Baaaby....coooffeeeee...." Shiro whined as he slid into the seat beside Keith. The human moved to get the coffee
cups out, including the one splurge he'd let Shiro get at the grocery store - a set of 6 dark, gem hued ceramic mugs. Keith picked up the blood red one, and the black one with purple flecks and slid them to Shiro's side and gestured for the other two to get their own.

"Did you
pick these out? Damn, mullet, you have a good eye!" Lance praised the human and Keith looked rather chuffed.

Soon, at least after Shiro had his first cup of java in him, he and Allura were discussing...wolf....stuff, probably. Keith tuned em out and leaned towards Lance.

"So
how much trouble am I about to be in, dude?"

Lance looped an arm around Keith's shoulders and gave him a light hug before letting him go. "Not a lot.. Look, Shiro asked Allura if we could black card for you. You've been through a lot, man. Buyin stuff for people, giving presents
and stuff, it's kinda our thing. Besides, you deserve a shopping day. Guys are allowed to go out and do shopping. And...I feel bad. That you can't be in your own home right now. This has to have been a lot. I know you like having, ya know YOUR spaces. I remember." Lance gave a
shy smile. He wasn't always just an asshole. Keith tensed up a little, then exhaled. Let it go.

"Alright. But no bright colors. Nothing pastel...."

Now that got Allura's attention as she discreetly pocketed her credit card and Shiro smirked into his mug.

"Oh darling. You're
in the best of claws...."

Keith could only gulp in terror and shrink back against Lance.

~~~
The ride out to the mall wasn't that bad. Allura's car smelled neutral and Lance picked a generic s/potify channel. Shiro had texted him a thumbs up and told him he'd be excited to see
what Keith got and then sent a lil emoji of some bikinis and underwear and Keith rolled his eyes, calling Shiro a nerd.
Once they got parked, Lance told Keith he was resigned to being the bagman today and thank god for werewolf strength. Keith just grinned and Allura patted
Lance.
"That's because you're my good puppy. Now! We are going to shop at mostly Human favoring stores. First stop? You need a new phone."
"What's wrong with the one I have?"
"Darling, that is an s7. You will break Pidge's heart if they see that thing."
"And that's..."
"Very Bad. Don't do it."
"Aye, aye, captain."
"Too right, Keith. So, android?"
"Uh. Yeah?"
And that was how that went. He got some basics, some fun tees, a few pairs of jeans and, with Lance's help, some shoes.
A nice pair of black biker boots, some trainers, and two pairs
of dress shoes.
Then came the fancy suit fitting.
"You need at least a few nice outfits since you're the Alpha's boyfriend. There might be events, parties...Oh, darling, don't look so scared."
Keith just placidly let Allura do her thing, choosing a dark indigo shirt that
matched Keith's eyes, and a deep, dark grey charcoal suit set, some ties and other whatevers.
Keith rather liked the paisley vests Lance picked out. THey accentuated his waist and hips and Keith stared at himself in the mirror.
"Damn. Am I really that hot? Fuck me runnin..."
Allura laughed heartily. "How about also some vintage styles? Hmm? You'd make Shiro positively bust a nut in public if you wore suspenders..."
"Allura!!"
~~~

After all that, the trio got lunch in the food court.

They were talkin about their next moves, not noticing they were
clocked. Keith turned, at one point, just looking around and noticed an older man looking their way rather intently. Their eyes met and the severe looking man's face suddenly brightened as he stood up, waving to another man who met up with him. The two hugged and kissed in
greeting and Keith smiled sappily.

"I hope Shiro and I can be like that when we're all old and stuff..."

"I'm certain you will. Just the sappiest, grossest old men."

"Thanks Allura. For this...and for everything. This really has been nice. I don't... i never treated myself to
much. I dunno how much Shiro told you but, I grew up living outta trashbags. I never kept a lot of things until I got my Pop's place back when I was 18 and aged outta the system. This is like a rags to riches story, haha."

"No problem man. Happy to help. You ready to get outta
here and go to the spa?"

"Spa? What spa? No one mentioned spa!"

"Come on, lame ass."

~~~
Really, Keith was looking forward to the spa.
Allura booked them at a really nice, but surprisingly reasonably affordable place. The techs were friendly, with some weres and humans in
there, all chatting amiably.
Keith's tech tutted at the state of his nails. "Sorry. I'm a horse guy...not a shifter! I mean...hah, stop laughing at me! I have a stable...ugh..." He grinned as they picked on him for his bad choices in words but it turned out his tech had taken
lessons as a kid and the pair chatted about that as Keith got more and more relaxed.
Soon, it was time for the massage and Keith was left a boneless pile of man by the end of it.
He actually had to have help going to sit in the steam room cause his legs didn't wanna work. He
finally was sat in the barber's chair and the dapper man with a frankly fantastic beard and mustache went to work cleaning Keith up.
"Leave it long? Please? I like to braid it..."
"Got it, Bro!"
The guy did an excellent job and he hoped Allura tipped him well.
Once all of
that was over, Allura decided to send Keith and Lance off alone. There was a store that had a Backroom of mens' lingerie.
Sexy, almost kinda dark music played lowly as Keith ambled through the selections, picking out a few things. Some of it was for weres, allowing for tails.
What Lance didn't see wouldn't hurt him.
He got some sets, soft lacy things, a long kimono robe, some garter thongs, other naughty bits and some lacy boxerbriefs.
Lance paid with the card and as the two left the store, Keith got a strange whiff of scent. Something familiar...
He stopped, looking around. Lance paused, sipping at his soda.
"Sup, Bro?"
"I dunno. Caught a smell that I remember... I think? Lily of the valley....somethin. You ever get that?"
"Oh! Yeah! Rose water and glycerin. Mi Bisabuela used to wear it. I think she's haunting me
because I didn't wanna be a factory worker like my cousins."
"Valid. Alright. let's go find Allura. I need a nap."
"Yeah. Holy shit it's already 4pm? Hot damn. Got your sunglasses? Looka you, suave motherfucker."
"Daddyfucker."
Lance snorted.
Later on, back at the
apartment, Keith set all his bags on the sofa, stripped, and put on one of the lacy, cheap thongs. He wanted Shiro to be able to tear it off later.
He sent off a cheeky sneak peek pic to Shiro then began taking things out, folding them neatly on the cushions. He began humming to
himself, before his memory supplied the words, lost in thought as he worked.
"Dream on, little dreamer...follow all of your signs..."
He murred softly. Something told him someone used to sing that to him. Someone that smelled like lily of the valley.
He went into the bedroom then, once he was done, and curled up, dreaming...
He dreamed of...coyotes. Lots of them. Running and bounding out in the desert, singing for joy.
He saw a dark skinned man holding a tiny cub before handing it to a smoky silver coyote with eyes like his
and a voice like the first rains of the season, sweet and clear as a bell, singing that song as she cradled the pup close to her breast.
But then...the scene changed. A scarred dark brown coyote with a snarl on its face chased the coyotes out into the night with blood and fire.
His father had been living as human, but was holding the pup, reaching out after his mother while she and a small group of coyotes split off from the fleeing pack and went another way, hounded, but not as hard as the others.
Keith woke with a yelp when the brown coyote's face
became a white coywolf's with yellow eyes and a bloody smile that hissed out his name.
"..ith. Keith? Baby, wake up! Hey! Hey, you're alright. It's ok. I'm here."
"Nightmare...blood...wolves..." Keith whimpered, trembling. "Ran them out....all of them...i...Shiro?"
"I'm here.
You're alright, sweetheart. I'm home...Here, have some water..." Keith sipped, his heart pounding as he leaned against the bigger man.
"What time is it?" He finally got out, nuzzling against Shiro's neck.
"Almost 8. I got home about an hour ago and you were sleeping so soundly,
I didn't wanna wake you up. I take it you had a good shopping day?" He slid his hand over the curve of Keith's ass, under the flimsy strap of the thong and palmed the plush muscle there.
The fear drained out of Keith and he sagged against Shiro, humming at the butt rubs. "Mmhm.
Keep rubbing my ass, that feels so good..." Shiro laughed and obliged. Eventually, Keith kissed Shiro and got up to go pee and Shiro called out,
"So, how do you feel about one more outing tonight, babe? Allura wants to go to this new karaoke club around 11."
"Sure, i don't
mind. I'm a great singer."
"Humble brag much?"
"Oh, no. I am a fucking amazing singer. No humble, only brag, Daddy."
"Well, I bet I can sing pretty good too."
"I never doubted you."
"Show me what all you bought, baby." Shiro suddenly ordered, a glint in his eye. Keith came
out of the bathroom and sauntered by the bedroom door and Shiro padded after him.
"Gimme a show, sexy."
Keith did, keeping just out of reach of his lover's claws. He finished the show by putting on the dark brown trousers, the suspenders and he had a linen shirt, lightly tea
stained but before he could put it on, Shiro yanked him close by his belt loops, pulling him down into his lap and holding his baby's tiny waist while lapping at his collar bones.
"You're so fucking beautiful. You didn't have to get all that lingerie for me, i was teasing...
but i can't wait to ruin you while you wear them for me."
"Ah! Shiro! I... i never bought that kinda crap before. I never..mm the other guys-" Here Shiro growled low, sending sparks through Keith, before the wolf tipped Keith back and latched on to one of Keith's nipples,
suckling it, laving it with his tongue.
"No other men. No other wolves. My keith. Mine. Right?"
Shiro stopped torturing that tiny dusty bud and looked up with big puppy eyes at a panting Keith who was biting his lip so hard.
"Yours, Takashi. yeah, babe. I'm yours. You gunna
claim me? Huh? be the first Alpha in your pack to have a claimed mate? You wanna rub it in their faces?"
Shiro's low whine was answer enough as he took Keith's other nipple and licked at it, nipped at it as his claws gripped Keith's ass and moved him forward and back against his
bulge.
"'Lura's gunna propose at the club, Keith. She's probably claiming him right now. Stars, i wanna tear these off you..."
"Ah ah, luv. No tearing. I just got these. They make me feel so handsome. your handsome boy."
"So handsome, so sweet...take them off. Take it all off.
Right now. I wanna taste you. I wanna make you cry...er...in a good way..."
Shiro blushed a little through his fur and Keith laughed as he slid back, making a show of taking his clothes off..
He stood naked before the wolf for the first time. his own cock, locked down in human
form, looking uncut and flushed dark with blood, already leaking. but beyond that tasty, tasty looking cock, Shiro saw the scars.
He beckoned Keith closer and began to kiss and lick each one that he saw, worshipping the abused body before him, trying his best to heal his
potential mate.
"They all have stories, Shiro." Keith's voice was rough, low, full of gravitas. "Injuries from foster parents, injuries from fights. That one at my hip? I fell after jumping off a fence in a train yard. Landed in a raspberry thicket. There was a nail in some wire
stuck in it."
Shiro kissed and sucked at the pale opal scar. He kissed at the scars from belts, from wire hangers, from cig butts. He kissed up Keith's back after turning him around and bending him forward over thhe ottoman, baring his pretty ass and licked a stripe over that.
Keith gasped out. and Shiro made a questioning noise.
Keith looked back over his shoulder and rolled his hips, bumping Shiro's snout, smiling a bit and dropping his head in a nod.
At the go-ahead, Shiro lapped at the pretty hole, gripping Keith's plump ass cheeks and pulling
at them, spreading him wide to be inspected.
He licked his wet tongue against the hole and pushed, just in against the rim and Keith shouted in surprise and began to squirm, but Shiro held him fast and pushed his tongue in further, lapping at him faster, deeper. Keith keened and
coyote joined in. Thankfully Shirod didn't hear the dual tone of Keith's cry as Shiro tongue fucked his little hole before he drew back and spun Keith around, laying him out on the ottoman and swallowing his baby's cock with his dangerous maw.
ya see, werewolves and werecoyotes
are experts at oral sex, tell you hwhut.
Keith plunged his hand into Shiro's hair, just behind his floof and shouted out again as Shiro took him so easily, wringing little punched out cries from the man below him.
Shiro could nearly fit the entirety of Keith's cock AND his
massive mouth and Keith sobbed out at the sensation that was ripping through him. He had about a ssecond to get out the word 'cum' before he did, shooting down the back of Shiro's mouth and the werewolf just grinned, gently sucking his boy clean before pressing soft kisses to the
blissed out human's softening cock and his hip, and the pale bruises there.
Keith was so happy the coyote had more control and didn't come out, because Keith's brain was mush, a silly little grin on his face.
"What a delicious little meal you are, love. I love the noises you
made for me. You never made noises like that for those other men, huh?" Keith groaned as Shiro gathered him up and cuddled him in his lap.
He shook his head a little, frowned. "Nuh, Da'y."
"Could they even make you cum? Make you look like this?" keith shook his head no and
found himself giggling like they were keeping a secret.
"Awww, my poor star. You deserve orgasms, you know. Ones that make you see stars. Orgasms that leave you floating. That sound nice, pretty Star?"
"Mmmm."
"I wonder what other noises you'll make when I fuck that tiny hole.
Will I even fit?" The wolf touched, feather light, at the human's hole, mindful of his claw and felt it wink, wanting, against his digit. "Oh my sweet love, you'd try so hard, huh? You wouldn't be able to fit my knot, but I bet you'd try so hard..."
" I could... i could fit it."
"I know you'd try, pretty star." Shiro kept lightly petting Keith's hole until he was hard again and didn't stop until Keith came one more time with a gasping sob, sagging against Shiro who took some of that spend and shifted to pull out his own soft but unsheathed cock and rub
some of it against his own cock.
It was so lewd, but Keith was transfixed on the sight.
"I wish you could smell this. Your scent on me. It's so good, love. I'm gunna wear you like cologne."
When he was finished, he helped Keith into the shower, with orders just to rinse off
and then set a glass of water on the table in the bathroom with further orders that Keith needed to drink and when he was done, they'd get ready to go to the club.
Keith agreed and and had a goofy grin on his face and zero thoughts as he did as told.
Since he could, in fact,
smell himself all over his Alpha, it settled something more in him, in coyote.
It was the start of a mating bond, he thought. Or something like it.
Keith came out of the shower and grumbled at Shiro that he was tired now.
"Aww, babe. I know. But I think Allura really wants
us at the club. She wants to present Lance as claimed (and their engagement) before going to the rest of the pack, since I'm the co-Alpha."
Oh. That made sense. He grumbled anyway and went to get dressed, but Shiro stopped him and made him wear the garter thong and slapped
at Keith's ass til it was rosy.
Then! He let Keith finish getting dressed. The boy was glassy eyed and fair near to drooling even as he clipped his hair up and got the suspenders in place.
"Wow! Gosh you do look good in that style. The 20s are definitely your fashion palate."
"Thank you... Depression era suits me...." Keith preened a bit. "But we are gunna have a kinks discussion when we wake up tomorrow, ok?"
"Hah, yessir!"
"Good puppy."
"Hey!"
"WE'RE LATE! LETS GO!"
~~~
AAaaaand that's the first half of part 9! Now I need to go pick some pole beans before it rains, and eat some lunch, so here is the playing in Keith's head as Shiro does him in:... Don't worry. After I'm all done with stuff, I'll continue part 10!

(Hello my loves. We continue part 9 of #sheith weres! still need a title for this fic... thoughts?)

When they got to the club, it was already jumping.

Keith waved to Lance and Allura as they walked up to the quick moving line.

Lance looked so excited, he was just about ready
to explode.

"Gee Lance. What's got you so work-"

"SHE CLAIMED ME!" He burst out. Shiro and Allura laughed and Keith just rubbed at his ear.

"Sorry...she claimed me, finally. Gave me a mate's bite and all. It's...just the best thing ever. Did you guys know about this?"
"It wouldn't be inaccurate to assume that I couldn't exactly not say that it is or isn't almost partially incorrect..." Keith smirked at Lance who narrowed his eyes.

"Youuuu..."

"Shiro told me about 45 minutes ago. So, let's have it. Show me the ring, guys." Keith made a
gesture and Lance lifted up his left hand, showing keith the, frankly gorgeous, azurite ring that fit Lance's ring finger perfectly. Keith gave a low whistle.

"Nice, bro. Come on. you get one Keith hug for this. I'm so happy for you." Lance looked like he was about to cry with
happiness as he hugged Keith.

He patted Lance's back and smiled then hugged Allura too.

"Congratulations, Allura." Then he pulled her ear closer. "Is this what you were doing while we were in the lingerie store?"

If allura straightened up and sniffed, looking as poised as ever
but threw Keith a wink, he'd never tell.

"No idea what you're talking about darling. But...I smell... Shiro! Really. That's borderline disgusting."

"I can smell you too, Allura. Stones and glass houses." She huffed and stomped her foot.

Shiro hugged her anyway and congratsed
his two pack mates.

Keith was about to tease Lance again when a tall woman, buff as hell and looking massively uncomfortable in a tube dress, frantically was texting something on her phone, looking around and getting more and more worried looking.

Keith excused himself from
his friends and walked up to the woman.

"Hey.."

"Oh!" She yelped, shifting into a big blonde wolf with tits the size of watermelons stg. She shifted back, her long hair tied up in two low pig tails. "Oh sorry suga, Ya spooked me. Eheh...Sorry, but i am...NOT comfy. My
girlfriends invited me out, butt they aren't here yet and I'm from outta town, and I wore this tryna be cute and I just...I feel like everyone's starin at me cause I'm a big ol texas girl, ya know? and I stick out like a sore thumb..."

That twang normally would grate on Keith's
ears, but with this girl, it fit her perfectly.

"No, you're fine. I'm sorry i gave you a scare. I just...I hate seeing anyone lookin scared and uncomfortable. Do you wanna stand with me and my friends? They're the Alphas of Flagstaff (and her newly engaged and claimed beta)..."
"Oh...uh...ok..." She ducked her head and followed Keith back to where Shiro stood. "I'm Romelle, by the by."

"Keith Kogane, this is Shiro, Lance, and Allura."

The two Alphas gave Romelle a hard stare and she flinched a little, trying to make herself smaller before them, though
she was easily taller than Shiro and far larger than Allura.

"Did you know you're an Alpha too?" Shiro queried, hugging Keith back against himself possessively. Keith rolled his eyes.

"Uh...no? I'm adopted. Raised by my human dads. I don't got no sort of pack like that... does
that mean somethin bad? Look, i don't want no trouble. I didn't even wanna come out tonight but my girls are all here and we're all visitin family and I just wanted to come out and party before I gotta go back home...."

She started looking more and more panicked, fear scent
rolling off her, making other folk in line grumble.

"ALRIGHT! You two, that is ENOUGH you are scaring her! What is wrong with you!? Romelle, you are perfectly ok. Honestly, being a packless alpha means next to nothing for you. family loves you?" a nod. "takes care of you?"
another nod. "Vice versa?"

"Wull of course, suga, I love my dads and all my family! We got a real big family. I'm the little kids' favorite cousin! They love pilin on me cause i can lift em all up!"

Keith smiled and reached up to pat her between the ears. "Good girl. Now!" He
bravely reached up and grabbed both Alpha's ears and yanked em a bit. "You two, apologize. We don't square up in club lines like chihuahuas after a pitbull."

"Sorry, Romelle."

"Yes, we're sorry! We just haven't met a packless Alpha in a long time! I'm so sorry for our behavior.
We're very happy to meet you and would be happy to keep you company til your friends get here. A woman alone should be looked after."

Keith let them go and nodded. Romelle marveled. A smal little human like that, bullyin both Alphas? Nice.

"Well. No harm done, I guess. Thanks
for the assist, suga."

"No worries. Say, if you don't mind my asking...what perfume are you wearing? It smells really familiar...."

"Oh! it's Th/ierry Mugler's Angel. It's an older perfume, but i really like it. It's my Dads' best lady friend's favorite perfume. Well I call her
my auntie... i'm ramblin..."

"Oh. Well, hey, it suits you!"

She relaxed a bit and tugged down her dress, grimacing as a couple guys made some comments. Her ears pinned back and she tried to hide behind Shiro who flashed fang at the men.

"It does. It's a real nice scent
and I promise you'll be safe with us." They came to the head of the line, all showing their IDs and the bouncer let them in.

The place was loud and bright, but as they went into the karaoke side, it was quieter, just the noise of people talking, the folks at the karaoke stage
singing.

"So, Romelle, do you sing?" Shiro asked and was pleased to see her brighten up.

"I sure do!! Not that great, really. I'm no Celine Dion, but I can do pretty good!"

"Not all wolves are naturally gifted at singing." Lance teased and Allura prodded him in the side.
"I've listened to you shower singing, love. It's....not great." The couple began to bicker and Romelle leaned to Shiro.

"They like that a lot? It's cute!"

"Ugh, they are gunna be insufferable and the wedding....oh my god. i want no part in it...Not til the end."

Keith snorted.
"He's prolly gotta officiate."

Shiro fake cried and buried his face in his hands.

Keith patted his back. "Poor Daddy. Alright, i'm gunna sign up. Come with me Romelle."

The two got up and Shiro smiled as he walked away, admiring Keith's ass. he deeeefinitely swayed more as he
walked away, arm in arm with the big blonde.

Honestly, he didn't feel at all threatened even though Romelle was an alpha. She wasn't trying to steal Keith away, she wasn't after himself or Allura. She really just seemed like an out of towner trying to have a good night.
And Keith...hoooo boy, his Keith. To take charge of two Alphas....three, really??

That had been kinda hot. Even if his ear still kinda stung.

He was gunna make such a glorious mate...

Meanwhile, up at the sign in screen. Keith was stuck.

"Ah man, I dunno what song to do first
should i go sexy? funny? Oh I shoulda thought about this better..."

"I'm doin' Jolene, cause this place needs a lil down home all up in it!"

Keith nodded, rubbing his chin in thought. Which song? AH! He knew...

"Babe, what'd you pick?" Shiro asked when they came back to sit down.

"Shhh, be surprised! You'll like it!"

Shiro nuzzled into Keith's neck and licked just under his right ear, trusting. So trusting.

Keith leaned into his boyfriend and enjoyed the

music the other singers offered.

Eventually someone came by to take drink orders and they all got a round.

Keith ordered a blue light saber (a blue raspberry vodka slushy), Shiro ordered a hard cider, Rommie got a ring pop drink, and Allura and Lance got champagne.

Rommie,
waiting her turn furiously texted away on her phone before giving a disgusted huff and tossing her phone on the table between them.

"Fuckin great. They're gunna be late. Stuck behind an accident on the highway."

"Oh, yeah, they'll be a while then."

"Just great." SHe slumped
back in her seat, folding her arms under her chest, pouting.

"Well. We're here, darling. We'll be your audience, if you like."

"You'd do that for lil ol me?"

"Heck yeah, girl. Course we would!" Lance smiled and kissed Allura's cheek.

Shiro and keith also agreed. That made her
feel so much better. Strange places, strange people...oof. Big Jeebies.

Finally, her name was called.

She got SO many wolf whistles from guys as she walked by. Catcalls, offers of marriage.

"Boy, a lotta yall are about to be REAL disappointed. So sad!" She undid her pig tails
and fluffed her hair up and her entire energy changed.

No more outsized meek lil miss. In her place was a firesouled wolf, beggin her lover Jolene to leave her man.

It was sooo good and Rommie's voice was strong, getting everyone's attention on her. And I mean EVERYONE was
focused on her.

At the end, she took a bow, arms spread wide to a hell of a lot of cheers and whoops.

When she put the mic back, she looked out at the crowd and some of the guys that were bein rude earlier.

"Yall get the joke right? It's cause I'M GAY!" She giggled and came to
sit back down, laughin at the looks on the guys' faces.

"Pure gold." She leaned back.

"Well done, Romelle!" Allura praised her and she ducked her head a bit.

"Ah well. Gotta take em down a notch or two, right? Once in a while."

"Yes. Absolutely." Allura nodded. "Ugh, before
I became Alpha, after my father died and while my Uncle was still seeing to my schooling, back in England, i had SO many just...hounds! Sniffing around all the time! It was unbearable. I had to fight all the time, the other girls at school thought i was just being snotty!"

"Oh
man, tell me about it. Girls are the WORST! I just love em though!"

"Aww and yer surrounded by 2 straights and 2 gays!"

"Nah, well. I'll find a nice person someday. Someone that doesn't mind that I'm a 6ft tall woman, or 7ft tall wolf. Not a lot of folks like a woman bigger
than them."

"Yeah, they just want us for our boobs." Shiro nodded and the both of em grabbed their own tits, laughing.

Keith rolled his eyes. "God help me, there's 2 of em!"

Lance just laughed.

They listened to lots of other singers, including one olf scruffy lookin wolf who
sang 'Shake Sinora'.

That had been fun. Romelle got up and started a conga line.

About 2 hours later, Keith was feelin pretty good. He'd only had 2 of his blue slushies. Shiro was bopping along in his seat and still hadn't sang yet.

"Daddy, you gunna sing?"

"Gunna howl at my
baby soo good."

"Oop. I dunno if you can, yet. Here, drink water instead of cider, silly. It will metabolize out faster that way. That's a good pup."

By then, Lance and Allura both got up to use the restroom.

Keith shook his head at his hopefully soon to be mate.

"You two are
are so cute together. How'd you end up on an Alpha's arm?" Romelle looked Keith square in the eye and the outline of his coyote form's right ear flicked.

He dropped his voice to a whisper, casually looping his arm around his half-drunk boyfriend.

"By chance. Who are you really?
No lies. I'll call for Allura."

"I'm no danger to you. Absolutely not you, Keith Kogane, son of Tex Kogane. Think of lil ol me as like... a secret service agent. Sorta."

"Are you even from Texas?" Keith suddenly felt so tired. "Your friends were never even coming, were they?"
"Oh they've been here since I got here. Eh, Ezor has them in the other side. Listen. Have you been feelin strange lately? Uh, weird smells, visions, that kinda thing?"

"Wait. What?"

"When Shirogane here is sober, you NEED to leave. Now I gotta go soon, but I got time for one
more song. Sing with me? Please?"

Keith shrugged and flapped his hand towards the sign in screen.

Romelle thanked him, signed the up then came back. "I don't have a lot of time to tell you this, but be smart. Keep your head on a swivel but pretend everything is fine."

"Ughhh."
"hey guys, we're back." Allura sat down and Lance yawned a bit, sitting beside her.

Shiro blinked, shaking his head a bit. "I'm ok!"

Romelle sighed, her face falling. "I think I better call my Uncle to come pick me up, but Keith an I are gunna sing one last song. Ya'll cool
with that?"

"Yeah! One more song."

When they called up the name, "Komelle' Keith snorted.

"It's a good thing you're cute."

"I'm just the best."

"Shiro? Hey, perk up, you gotta hear this. She picked a really good one!"

The intensity of the pair singing, the emotion, had the whole room scream cheering at the end as the two bowed and went back to their seats.

Shiro was sober now and hugged Keith so tightly.

"You were right. You have the most gorgeous voice, baby. Are you ready to go? You look
sleepy."

"Yeah. Romelle, are you gunna be alright to get home?"

"Oh yeah. I got an uber coming. I'll be alright. It was nice meetin yall!"

"You too!"

"Night!"

~~~
As they left, Keith felt a shiver roll down his spine and he turned his head sharply. He closed his eyes.
The storm wasn't coming. It was already here.
~~~

"Why are you with them, little cousin?" The posh voice asked as the platinum blonde man stepped slowly from the shadows of the parking garage. He was dressed in a dark suit that glinted.

The wolves stopped. Turned. Allura
shifted first, all regal arctic glory. "Lotor. What are you doing here?"

"Shut up, bitch. You. Little dark star." He pointed at Keith. "Why are you with them and not your own kind?"

"He's human, Lotor. Just a human."

"You can't smell him? I can smell him. A little dark coyote
in the middle of the strongest pack of wolves Flagstaff has ever seen... Clever, cousin. But it is time to join your family."

"First off, you pompous fuck, I am a human. Second, I am NOT your family. Third, get fucked! Let's go.""

"Don't you walk away from me, boy..." Allura
stepped between them as Lance rapidly called the pack emergency numbers when suddenly, he yelped, going down as a brick shithouse of a coyote jumped him.

Allura's eyes narrowed and then she lunged as more of Lotor's minions came out of the dark. Shiro leaped into the fray as
Lotor and Allura snapped and jumped at each other.

Keith screamed as more and more coyotes piled ontop of his mate.

Then, Keith's scream became a snarl of rage. His eyes flashed starbright as he shifted. A magnificent smoke dark coyote with gleaming nebula eyes and bright white
fangs. He dropped down on all fours, tail bottlebrush high, his fur razorbacked as he screamed again.

This time, when he spoke, it was the dual toned voice of him and his coyote.

"Leave my pack ALONE!" just as he screamed it, making Lotor turn and look, with his mad eyes, the
smoke coyote shoulder checked Allura off of Lotor and bit down into his shoulder, dragging him back, his white fur sullied and bloody as Keith savaged his shoulder.

Shiro was surrounded by a ring of snapping, yipping coyotes, all lunging and backing off.

Suddenly, a big, blonde
werewolf shouted and bulldozed a pile of em.

"Oh there's nuthin like a good wrastle at night, huh? Hoo boy! Come on fam! Protect the wolves!" And then she howled, a loud, long ringing sound that a new pack of coyotes sang with.

All of them were dark, with glowing eyes and white
fangs. They rushed past Shiro and began to circle him, snapping at the other coyotes. One launched herself into the fray, tearing at its nose, snapping and yipping.

Allura crouched over Lance, growling protectively, eyes black as pitch.

Romelle kangaroo kicked another were
into a wall and threw her arms in the air.

Shiro stood, rolling his shoulders. "What the FUCK is going on!?"

"Oop! No time! Only punch!"

"Where's Keith? AHHH!" A coyote got his arm, tearing at flesh like a mad thing and Shiro flung it away as the dark coyotes moved to surround
Allura and Lance. The biggest female knelt beside them. "He'll be ok, Alpha."

"Get away from my mate!"

"We're here to help you, Daughter of Alfor. As a favor to him, for the treaty Zarkon broke. Stand up, woman. Stand! FIGHT." She snapped in Allura's face, making her leap back
roll to bite the back of an attacking werecoyote's neck, tearing out its vertebrae as the female crouched over Lance in her stead, sniffing him over. he was fine, just knocked out.

"Romelle! Medvac this one!"

"Yes Auntie!" Romelle hurried over, hefting the smaller wolf in her
arms and taking off towards the nearest hospital at lightning speed. Her greater size and longer legs letting her bound nearly as fast as a car.

Four others bounded after her, providing back up as others tried to follow and snap at her.

Keith was still on Lotor, but the coywolf
had him by the throat as he stood up, lifting Keith up off the ground, making him dangle in mid air.

"You little traitor! You little disgusting marmora! You could have been mine! ou could have been powerful! Now you're just as weak and vile as the wolves!"

"Why would I want
a rabid little piece of shit like you?" Lotor's eyes widened and he snarled in Keith's face, just as Keith pulled out the dagger he kept at his back and sliced it across his attacker's chest.

Lotor howled in agony, dropping back and letting Keith fall.

He coughed, holding his
throat as another coyote helped him up, a big male with a dark mask across his eyes. "Come on, son. On your feet."

"Shiro! Shirooo! ALPHAAAAA!" Keith screamed in his dual voice and Shiro looked up, around, turned and lunged at the next closest coyote, pinning it on its back and
roaring in its face, slashing at its face with his claws. When he was shoulder checked off by one of Lotor's mutts, He spun around, snapping after them and turning on Lotor.

"Where is my mate?" He took Lotor by the neck now and began to squeeze, using his prosthetic arm.
Lotor only laughed hysterically as he gagged.

"You didn't know! He didn't tell you! AND YOU ATTACKED HIM! AHAHAHAHAHAHAAGHHHHHHCCKKKKK!"

Shiro dropped him, his throat torn out. Shiro spat it out, making a face at the taste.

Allura snapped after the last of the minions as they
fled, their leader dead.

The other coyotes stood, snorting after them before the big male and female walked to Allura, checking her first.

"Keith! Keith, where are you! Answer me, baby!"

"Keith. Sweetheart, oh your face....oh, oh god, your shoulder. Kolivan, go get the truck.
We gotta get him to Ulaz." The female stood up, coming face to face with Shiro and she dropped into human form.

Even a little smaller, she was still intimidating as fuck, angry eyes locking on a downshifted Shiro.

"Please! What's going on, where's my Keith?"

"MY Keith!" She
shoved him away from where the small dark coyote lay gasping for breath, a long gash from just under his right eye, to nearly his jugular lay bleeding sluggishly. His left shoulder looked badly dislocated and his throat was badly bruised and cut from the fight with Lotor.

"No.
NO! Keith's not a coyote! He's not some dirty, thieving coyote, he's a human! He's...he's..." He stared as Keith shifted back with a weak cry of pain, reaching for Shiro, keening, or trying to.

When Shiro jumped out of reach and made a face of utter disgust, Keith whimpered,
tears spilling out, making tracks in the blood of his ruined face.

Allura grabbed Shiro's shoulder. "We gotta go to the hospital. We have to get to Lance. Forget the hu...forget the coyote, Shiro. We must defend the pack and find the...the rest of the daibazaali coyotes."
Shiro shook his head, not knowing what to think and ran off with his co-alpha.

Krolia turned back to her son and kissed his forehead. "Close your eyes, son. We'll get you safe."

~~~
Krolia called Iverson, let him know what happened, that she was back, Lotor was killed at
Shiro's fangs, but the rest of the Daibazaal coyotes needed to be driven away or arrested. Keith was badly injured and it would be a while before he'd be back to town.
And under no circumstances is he to tell any of the werewolves where Keith is, or his condition.
"I'll shoot
She
climbed up into the bed with her son and shifted to her feral form to rest her head on his shoulder and hum her lullaby for him in his ear.
"Dream on, little dreamer. This is how it all begins..."
