Social media can be a valuable asset for #freelancers especially if you can grow an audience.

Here are 7 tips to grow an audience on social media

////////// THREAD ///////////
Why would you want to do this?

Because why not? With an audience you get a following where you can learn, get connections, potential clients, and you have the opportunity to start multiple businesses like eCommerce, etc
A life hack is to get an audience before releasing a product
1. Find your niche.
It is best to focus on a unique niche, whether it be creating logos, or you want to post about cows doing back flips.
It is important to find a niche which you are interested in and know a lot about.
2. Give people a reason to follow you
The most important thing to remember is to share value. People don't care what you do or who you are, they care about what you can give them.
How to share value:
- Give tips
- Share knowledge
- Give them emotions like motivation, joy, etc.
You are asking for the time, data, energy and focus from people so you must provide them with more value than what they provided you.

Before posting ask yourself:
"When someone sees this will they walk away feeling empty or full?"
Basically, are you wasting their time?
3. Engage with others
Comment, like and follow other accounts who have a similar niche to yours, so that you can get recognized.
4. Be Consistent!
You must be consistent with both your content and how often you upload. Tip... upload as much as you possibly can!
5. Engage with your audience.
It is important to engage and communicate with your audience, to build a stronger connection. Reply to the dm's, reply to the comments, remember you
want to share value. You must satisfy your audience.
6. Always evolve.
You cannot stay static with your content if yo want to grow, you must adapt and change. Improve your photo qualities, change your profile pic, alter your content slightly to adapt to what is currently in demand, BUT DO NOT CHANGE TOO MUCH in a short time period.
7. Bonus tips ;)
- Use hashtags to be found
- Participate in relevant trending topics and current events
- Be entertaining, and use humor to engage
- NEVER buy followers and fans!! You want an audience that wants your content not your money.
Last but not least, enjoy what you do. Don't do it only to get followers. If you genuinely love your topic, you will stay consistent and always improve and the followers will come in the end.

Enjoy the journey not the destination.

As a #freelancer, you need to be good at the skill you provide, BUT you also need to be good at many other things including Negotiations!

Here are 10 negotiation techniques that can make you a better, more confident negotiator.

//////////////// THREAD ///////////////// Image
Before the thread, the number one rule of negotiation is:

Don't go to the negotiation table if you are not prepared to walk away.

Now that that's out of the way we can continue👇.
Might be a long one so grab a cup of coffee or something ☕️
1.Prepare!
Enter a negotiation without proper preparation and you’ve already lost. Make sure you are clear on what you really want out of the arrangement. Research the other side to better understand their needs, as well as their strengths and weaknesses. Enlist help from experts
