today i did my first ever trail run - a 50 minute interval workout + 10 min walking, in a dense wood trail.
i am an idiot, so:
-i ran past the point where i had chills, chest pain and dizziness
-ran at noon in 81 degrees/64% humidity
-almost passed out
-do NOT do this
what i did right:
-ran with my parents who are incredible runners & triathletes
-made them swear a blood oath not to leave me in the woods
-kept repeating that my vengeful ghost would haunt them if they left me to die
-gave the finger to the sun for like 10 min
anyway im fine now after dumping ice water on my head and drinking more ice water
also i drank pickle juice which according to my dad they give out at ultramarathons
