Good evening! I’m OTG at the Getty House / Mayor’s Mansion, where activists are planning to protest the signing of amendment 41.18, which would prohibit prohibit "sitting, lying, or sleeping or storing, using, maintaining, or placing personal property in the public right-of-way."
Seeing some unmarked cars patrolling the area and one vehicle just parked inside the lot.
3 LAPD Officers are here, asked for hi organized the protest. Jeering from the crowd in response.
Crowd getting a bit louder now, yelling “F* Garcetti / he’s f*ing up our city”
Lieutenant clarifying some of the rules for protesting the Mansion. I’m no expert, but I’d say there very little likelihood of the group remaining 100 feet away.
3 LAPD officers stationed at the Mayor’s Mansion approached the crowd, then left as protestors jeered them.
LAPD officers now fully away, outside of the helicopter above and unmarked vehicle inside the lot.
Things written in paint and marker, seeing some signs which say “F* Garcetti Arm The Houseless,” “Housing Is A Human Right.” Some garbage poured in the front lawn.
Some TP strewn throughout the front lawn. Signing off for the night.

Matin Mehdizadeh appears to be the culprit that launched at least several of the fireworks via mortar into the encampment at UCLA. He was also involved in at least one press attack.
He also was involved in the attack on reporter @doloresquintana . From piece for @LCRWnews -
Matin Mehdizadeh appears at multiple points to have control over the loud speaker which played taunting and repetitive music during the attack.
Mehdizadeh can also be seen here harassing Santa Monica Mirror reporter @doloresquintana .
She was later attacked.
Also of note, someone asks Nouri Mehdizadeh to bring his laser pointer. A pointer was shined into people’s eyes repeatedly that night.
I’m OTG at the UCLA Gaza Solodarity Encampment. A large group of pro-Israel demonstrators are around. One person from the encampment looks very hurt. Hundreds throughout the area.
Reports of fireworks being thrown towards the encampment. Seeing a plume of smoke (looks like just firework smoke for now) coming from near the encampment.
One person (I can’t say for sure which side he’s on) treating what appears to be a pepper spray injury.
Breaking: a group of pro-Palestine demonstrators have blocked the intersection of El Segundo and Continental in El Segundo, CA (Raytheon has buildings at this area)
Vehicles attempting to go in appear to be attempting entrance in another place for the time being.
I’m unclear on who, but some shoving from an employee at Raytheon towards some people who were near some graffiti over the Raytheon sign in front of their office in el Segundo, CA
Greetings! I’m in Los Angeles, where a group of about 40 are gathered regarding Takar Smith, who was killed during a mental health call by LAPD. LAPD alleges he had a knife over his head; protesters are calling that into question.
Family of Takar Smith and protesters on a caravan (both vehicle and on foot) and marching.
Protesters and family of Takar Smith have arrived at Rampart Station.
