Blockbuster story from Washington Post citing CDC data acknowledging covid vaccines offer limited protection against delta variant spread. Rate of virus transmissions have been found to be similar for vaccinated and unvaccinated people. Read it yourselves: washingtonpost.com/health/2021/07…
If pursuing the truth no matter where it leads you was truly the standard for journalism awards @AlexBerenson would get all of them. And he’s done it just by letting the data lead him instead of selling prevailing narratives of the powerful and covering his eyes.
Whatever limited faith the public had in the CDC has been crippled over the past 18 months. Much of the covid data has been public for months before the CDC reacts or acknowledges it. This is made worse by labeling legit analysis as misinformation on social media & censoring it.
The data from India suggests we will have a spike in infections from the covid variant, there will be little we can do to stop it, and then it will exhaust itself. Panic will ensue once again.
The hope is that covid deaths here will be less significant here than in India because we have a massive number of natural immunity and lots of vaccinated people. But as the article says, covid is never going away. It will be here forever. It’s way past time to live our lives.
And you need to be more discerning in which media you trust to tell you the truth, good or bad. I’d start with bookmarking @Outkick and listening to @clayandbuck daily. In the meantime, I just landed in Vegas and I’m headed to gamble.

Scottie Pippen STILL gets crushed for pulling himself out of a playoff game against the Knicks because a play wasn’t called for him. And the blue check brigade on here wants to tell me Simone Biles is a hero for quitting in the middle of a team event? This is crazy.
I mean, athletes can quit on their teams whenever they want. It’s their right. But it isn’t remotely heroic or praiseworthy. And anyone who has ever been on a team at any level would be furious if a teammate said the moment was too big and they refused to play in the biggest game
This is why most of us put our kids in athletics in the first place — to learn how to handle pressure, work as teammates, & succeed or fail in competition. These are traits that carry forward in life, long after sports are over. It’s why my kids are in sports now.
Tom Brady doesn’t go in for the Super Bowl for the second half because of the mental pressure he feels. LeBron James takes himself out of the NBA Finals game 7 because of the mental pressure he feels. What would the reaction be compared to Simone Biles? Debate, discuss.
Remember how much Jay Cutler got crushed for an NFC title game INJURY that left him on the sidelines. How much does make vs female factor in here? I think a ton.
In 1996 Kerri Strug landed a one foot vault to win the US gold. In 2020 Simone Biles pulled herself out of competition because of mental issues and her team won silver. Debate, discuss.
My general read: athletes, and all young people, spend way too much time on social media and it is often very bad for mental health. The more time you spend on social media, the more mentally unhealthy you often are. This is a larger societal problem reflected in athletics.
Instead of allowing coaches, teammates, your family and friends to primarily impact your mental health and state of well being, many now allow anonymous people on social media to define & pressure them. It’s toxic. I’m keeping my own kids off social media as long as I can.
I’d love for the NCAA doctors & “scientists” to explain how it’s safe for 24,000 fans of all ages — none of whom are being tested for covid — to attend games in close quarters but it’s not safe for 25 young & super healthy athletes to play a socially distanced sport outdoors.
Spoiler alert: it’s all bullshit cosmetic theater. There is zero reason for any sport to have any covid protocol at all.
On the vaccination front, what’s the point of players being vaccinated if they can still test positive and be forced to miss games? There’s no benefit. Again, the “science” makes no sense. It’s all bullshit.
Shout out to @espn for playing the Mac Jones is getting drafted before Justin Fields because of racism against black quarterbacks card three days before the draft even happens. Gotta keep the victimization narrative rolling no matter what.
Jameis Winston went number one overall after narrowly avoiding rape charges in college. Mike Vick, Jamarcus Russell, Cam, & Kyler all went number one overall too. The NFL doesn’t care about anything but football ability. Anyone who still argues otherwise is an imbecile.
The four highest paid quarterbacks in NFL history are all black. The idea the NFL is racist against black quarterbacks is a completely broken narrative that is at least two generations old now. Everyone making the argument today should be ridiculed to the high heavens.
