Most people, including teachers and teachers' unions, haven't understood 2 things yet:

"Aerosol" = air contaminated for *HOURS*.

Covid transmission is virtually 100% via "aerosol", and not via droplets and surfaces.

On April 5 the US GOV Center for Disease Control 👇 1/3
published surprising new findings: infections have been almost zero by contaminated surfaces, and virtually all by contaminated air.

Quote & link:

"the risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection via the fomite transmission route is low, and generally less than 1 in 10,000, which 2/3 👇
means that each contact with a contaminated surface has less than a 1 in 10,000 chance of causing an infection"

What that means for classrooms is that
☀️VERY GOOD VENTILATION☀️
is the best way to minimise transmission of Covid-19!

VENTILATE CLASSROOMS

cdc.gov/coronavirus/20…
PS: In other words, if this CDC paper is correct only ventilation and very good masks (N95, FFP2 FFP3) effectively reduces transmission, whilst bad masks and surfaces wiping are a dangerous and misdirected waste of time and energy.

Quote:

"risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection 👇
via the fomite (surfaces) transmission route is low, and generally less than 1 in 10,000, which means that each contact WITH A CONTAMINATED SURFACE (!) has less than a 1 in 10,000 chance of causing an infection"

So: ventilation, ventilation, ventilation!
cdc.gov/coronavirus/20…
Pointing out that on my opening tweet I wrote that most people haven't understood 2 things:

1. Aerosol

2. virtually 100%

Many people, and probably most teachers, knew about aerosol, but not that it was responsible for virtually 100% of cases.

CDC's 1/10,000 was surprising.
EXCELLENT Japanese gov. public advice re. ventilation 👇

Dr. @AlisonGeorge10 has tweeted me this very helpful chart 👇
.@YololoYolo tweeted me:
"For a school our size (1000) (...) £40-50k to make all classrooms as virus safe as possible."

= ONLY £50/child !

x £11.7 million school children

= £600 million

That👆is =

0.5% of the NHS budget

1.7 % of Dido Harding's £36 *BILLION" track & trace

Brexit, Trump & Boris Johnson received DECISIVE political, strategic, $ support from an international alliance including Mercer, Murdoch, Russian gov/intel services, Russian "oligarchs" (= mafia) + their City of London blood money launderers, MBS and Netanyahu.

That's the tweet.
Their main common interest was the City of London dirty money laundering services and our off shore tax havens, all threatened by increasing /incoming EU regulations.

Putin's extra benefit was weakening the West.
(Or did anyone really believed that Jacob Rees-Mogg was really a "patriot"? 😂🤣😂🤣😂)

The UK government is running out of vaccines.

And they won't have enough for the whole population until the spring at the earliest.
Scotland and Wales publish stock levels (see below), but England doesn't. My conclusion above was from a two days research, lots of different news re. individual vaccine types, previous deliveries, delay from India, etc. A mess frankly. I'll try to

UK children & Covid-19

Urgent.

What's happening in Bolton will happen in dozens of cities & towns a couple of weeks later, and then everywhere a couple of weeks after that.
