@JennyChachan , @YoMommyDearest
Yesterday, I had a brief chat with the people's friend for governor, Larry Elder. He is holding up very well, despite the rigors of a grinding campaign. We couldn't ask for a better candidate to represent those of us who want to save and restore
2/ the California that we once knew. This is a very important election, and we all know it. Newsom is in big trouble, and he knows it. He is using "the Republicans" as the bogey man, and calling this the "Republican Recall." He is bringing in Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and
3/ other parts of "the Machine" that has left us stranded on the highway. It seems to me that our nation and, in particular, our state are experiencing a decline. The government is taking too much from us, it is not sufficiently protecting us from bad people in our society, it
4/ is burdening us with additional obligations that we must pay for, without getting our prior approval, and it is often depriving us of our most basic rights. It is wrong to describe those responsible for what is happening as "the Democrats." Yes, Democrats are driving and in
5/charge of the Machine, but some Republicans are often complicit in what is occurring. Many of us are just fed up with partisanship. If someone steals from you, or harms you, you don't give a crap about their party affiliation. If a public teacher tries to fill your kid's head
6/ with CRT nonsense, it matters not if the teacher is a registered Dem or Rep, or is Black or White. All we know and care about are results. And the CA Machine is not working for us. Anyone who tells you otherwise is probably part of the Machine, which includes the media,
7/ entertainment, etc. This governor is the engine of the Machine and it is time for a major overhaul. When he tried to insist that he be on the ballot as a registered Dem, he was signaling his disrespect of the voters. Tell them that I am a Dem and they will forgive me of my
8/ "mistakes". In truth, he consistently exercises poor judgment, such as going to the French Laundry when he did. That judgment is warped by the fact that he was a far Left SF mayor who owes his allegiance to that wing of his party, and their policies are out of step with the
9/ needs of our state. If we reelect him, I bet that he we would shut down our economy a third time.

Thanks for your service, guv, but you are hurting us. Time to go!

There are five basic issues which, in my opinion, directly affect the quality of life in our society: crime, taxes, education, citizenship rights and housing, and not necessarily in that order. On all five of these, I give Governor Newsom a less than passing or even average
2/ grade. Crime is out of control and there are so many who have very little respect for the rule of law. Taxes are so high in CA that they are driving many in the middle class away from here. Once upon a time, our education system was the envy of the nation. Now, we’re
3/ scrambling to avoid hitting the bottom. Our national and state constitutions guarantee equal rights for all, but there is a constant battle to protect those rights, most recently Prop 16 in CA. And, homelessness is a catastrophe in every major CA city. When asked to explain

I have a very special friend who owns a nails salon. She loves this country, works 7 days/week, about 15/hrs daily, 6 days every week. Goes to church on Sunday, a single mom putting her daughter through college. Her son is in the military serving our country. Prior to Covid,
2/ her nails salon was the source of income for her and 6 other people. The very definition of the American dream and what it means to be an American. About 16 months ago, the Governor issued an order to close all businesses like hers. She and her workers wore masks, and she
3/ installed thick plastic dividers (cages basically) that separated customers and workers. The Governor’s action was, in my opinion, one of the biggest deprivations of individual liberty in American history. My single-parent friend now has 1 part-time worker & herself and she

UNFAIR...WRONG...CORRUPT...AN OUTRAGE!!!

My state of California is a great state, with some phenomenal people. We come in all colors and we embrace different religious and political backgrounds. We, the people, have learned to live by the creed that our color, sex,
2/ "race," ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation or gender identity should not deny us the right to participate in or contribute to our society. We give true meaning to the overused term, "diversity." On Nov. 3, 2020, we reaffirmed our dedication to the principle of
3/ equal citizenship by rejecting Prop 16 by the landslide margin of 57-43.

A closer look at CA will confirm, however, why the characterisric of "diversity" can be such a misleading attribute. The reason is that it masks the many things that have CA on a path to destruction:

I can only imagine what slavery was like, but I know firsthand about Jim Crow; and for the government to dictate where I could live, who I could marry, what job I could have, with whom I could socialize, where I could go to school, or what public facilities - bus, water fountain,
2/ even toilet - I was allowed to use, is not remotely the kind of paradigm that I want for any human being. Certainly, America should resist in the strongest of terms any idea designed and implemented that would suggest a return to that era.
3/ My country is confronted with, perhaps, the most serious challenge of its remarkable history. In many parts of my country, especially in my home state of CA, many of my fellow citizens are living under tents, on public streets.

Criminal violence and disrespect for the

President Biden has proposed a $6 trillion budget for the next fiscal year. That is a 6 followed by 12 zeros. Personally, I consider this a moral outrage, particularly when you consider that the President said this week that he will do whatever is required to close the racial
2/ “wealth gap.”

First, I consider it inappropriate for the government to even try to equalize wealth between “racial” or any other groups. Second, I consider it an impossible mission, because within weeks after being equalized, it would quickly become unequal again.
3/ Third, the deficit that our country is amassing will someday have to be paid, and the interest on this debt is likely to be much higher. For me, I DO NOT WANT TO BANKRUPT MY CHILDREN, MY GRANDCHILDREN & MY GREAT GRANDCHILDREN with the responsibility of paying off a debt that

Yesterday, Pres Biden pledged to close the “racial wealth gap” by making racial equity payments to those in certain groups. How do I count the ways to say that this is a very, very bad idea?

Wealth represents an accumulation of assets over a span of many years, unless one wins
2/ a lottery or some such instant income.

What about disparities in income within a so-called race?

It is proposals such as this that makes this President and Democrats vulnerable to the charge of socialism. Government intervention to cure so-called gaps in wealth is the
3/essence of “wealth redistribution.” My biggest fear is that by the end of this president’s term, the relationship between various “races” will be poisoned to an irreversible extent, all based on the flawed premise that the government should be equalizing income & wealth of
