Our power is out, no one has power. Probably jealous neighbors looking into pasture at our well-lit home, glow of TV.

Last time only WE went out, AND it blew our inverters too!

Is this justice?
No, it's how things are SUPPOSED to work.
Murphy's Law gave us a break this time.
😁
CEMC service truck went thru an hour ago spotlighting.

Just saw bucket truck go same way.
That means..its past our feed.

Chop them out of our grid.
Power us back up.
Finish up tomorrow.
Their night's shot anyway.

Maybe an hour?
I hate to have to put emergency window unit in.
Of course.

My wife, bless her heart, left hose on. The attachment has a slow leak.

I thought we still had some water pressure left, but NOPE it's gone.

When power comes back, I can watch my idiot lights at well.
Well tank should be full.

But I bet pump for pressure tank..
...bet it's lost prime.

If my idiot lights say it's not turning off?

Midnight, I'll be outside at the well house priming a pump.

Damn you Murphy and your law.
And...both CEMC trucks left the neighborhood.

And...power!

I see a well tank pump light, a pressure tank pump light...and...They're off.
I have water pressure!

Woo.
G'nite y'all.

COVID19:

Good news for (mostly) all!

Progress continues on development of polyclonal antibodies, a key in early and effective treatments, possibly preventative prophylaxis.

BAD news for me. None of these will help me....
First, an article discussing development of antibodies sourced from equines...
thelancet.com/journals/eclin…
Second, another rapidly progressing development of polyclonal antibodies.

From llamas.

Heroin itself became pure, sortable, and being used by upper middle-class kids by mid-90s, and undoubtably some of those deaths included fentalogues.

Heroin quadrupled production in 2000s.
Someone used it...

Couple that with exaggerated climb in 2000s prescribing, factoring OUT parallel quadrupling of major skeletal surgery increases, cancer survival advances...

Just what the f**&ing hell.

Power went out, direct strike on our pole. Worse, it must have hit one of our off-grid lites too!

So it also took out my inverter battery back-up. Blew the outputs. Scrapped it.

We have a genny and a gallon of gas.

Gonna be a long day.
🥺
I see our strike arrestor blown open, but utility says our outage is part of an ongoing incident.

Means they fix it, then we call back left behind. That's a few hours lost.

Then, damn system has the 'not A' address tagged to my number. But they have power.
Another delay.
Rescued the incubator it's on genny.

Wife wants grits.
I want heat.
And we have enough wattage for one or the other.

So I told her to buck up and have a bowl of cereal.

Or unplug the incubator???

"When he came to, he was on the floor. He had rolled out of the wheelchair and hit his head. A gaggle of worried-looking medical staff stood over him. They asked if he was on drugs."

In most ER, he would have already been hit with two doses of NARCAN.

#alphagal allergy syndrome breaks all rules, stands as example of how much we don't know. This guy got lucky. I have YET to meet medpro that knows this, except for my allergist.

Had I not studied myself and searched for answers, my PCP would have found them thru MY anaphylaxis.
Would it have been flu shot I refused? (2 of 4 have mammal component)..

Maybe the acid blocker I refused, in a gel-cap?

Would I have passed out during colon prep for procedure I refused?

How long before first 'incident' gets me narcanned? Hell I'm probably allergic to it too.

@DEEGILES0410 "total resolution relating to the marketing of Suboxone is more than $2 billion — the largest-ever resolution in a case brought by the Department of Justice involving an opioid drug."

Suboxone, the newest and most effective gateway drug, 'Prison Heroin', easy to smuggle.
@DEEGILES0410 "Buprenorphine emergency department (ED) visits for nonmedical use of the drug have increased fivefold from 2005 to 2011 – up to more than 20,000 ED visits involving buprenorphine products for nonmedical purposes.."

Thanks to Indivior.

@DEEGILES0410 "Suboxone may also be becoming a preferred drug of abuse for individuals seeking an opioid-like high, and many may be choosing this drug over other opioids."

EXACTLY as Kolodny intended when he started pushing Suboxone in 2005.
