Daily Excrement : "Brexiteers tear apart 'petty' EU's anti-Brexit plot to slap visa fees on UK travellers!!!!"

This really does p*** me off.

#ETIAS

1/7
Firstly, I've been saying this would happen since the Brexit sh!t show but accused of "project fear" and "scaremongery"

Some countries already need to apply for a visa to enter to the Schengen area. During the Brexit negotiations, the visa application was waived for the UK.

2/7
But we knew ETIAS was coming, it was approved for development in Nov 2016

+ The EU isn't "punishing Britons" FFS. The ETIAS applies to everyone outside the EU, not just the UK

The US, Canada, Australia and NZ already have an electronic visa system

Secondly - THIS IS WHAT BREXITERS VOTED FOR!!!

They wanted to end freedom of movement and now they are complaining about having their fecking freedom of movement removed.

"I didn't mean MY freedom of movement!!"

4/7
Thirdly - I'm sure the online application process will be straight forward, it will just be a bit of a nuisance and cost a few quid.

But none of this would have been necessary without Brexit.

5/7
And you will need to hand over a lot of personal information - employment history, parents details, drug use, criminal history.

6/7
The funny part is though, that applications will be refused if you have a violent or serious criminal record.

No more Spanish holidays or European football matches for some.

Although, just remembered that Tommy Robinson can get an Irish passport. He'll be alright jack.

and just to add.

The UK as a member of the EU - HELPED CREATE THIS!!!

Talking of ventilators, remember these at the beginning of the pandemic:

* UK company MEC Medical - 500 ventilators, ignored
* UK company Direct Access - 5,000 ventilators, ignored
* British director of UAE company Topland - 15,000 ventilators, ignored

1/
* Worcester based G-Tech - a vacuum manufacturer - told to stand down
* EU emergency bulk buy initiative, ignored because it would interfere with Brexit

Sound familiar?

This article recalls interviews with 10 German men in a German town shortly after the war.

Just to add to this, this is the full version of "Don't be a Sucker" - an anti-Nazi US public information film.

In the middle is this bit:

"But the man who was really being fooled was Hans. ... To him they promised everything, and he fell for it"

I'd also recommend watching "Rise of the Nazis"

There are plenty of documentaries about WW2 but not many about how Hitler came to power. There are a lot of parallels.
