Last month, WAPO political reporter @feliciasonmez didn’t just sue her employer for discriminating against her as a woman and a sexual-assault survivor. She alleged that while she was prohibited from covering sexual misconduct stories,

the paper’s top editors had allowed a prominent male journalist to cover similar stories, despite an allegation of misconduct.

Somnez alleged that a male colleague at the Post had been accused of, and investigated for, sending “an unsolicited photo of his underwear-covered crotch to a young woman.” (The Post’s investigation concluded no wrongdoing, but the reporter was given a warning.)
Despite having been investigated, her suit asserts, this man was still allowed to write stories about the #MeToo movement and sexual assault.

The Daily Beast has confirmed that the lawsuit referred to allegations made several years ago against Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist
Simon Denyer, the paper’s bureau chief for Japan and the Koreas.

(There is not one news story about this guy and these allegations other than from the Beast)

Twitter on Tuesday suspended a string of accounts that had been promoting the ballot review, including one that had been billed as the audit’s official handle, saying that they violated company policies on “platform manipulation and spam.”
