Buy a few dog whistles

They’re cheap on Amazon & they really do make dogs stop barking if it’s the correct tone

(there are times when safety requires shutting down noise)

Old backpacker’s trick:

Remove the cardboard roll from your rolls of TP then compress the rolls side by side into bags. Tie off the bags to maintain dryness & utility. This cuts down volume by at least 30%

(save those rolls in your fireplace tinder)

If you have kids or cats & want to prepare for candlelight as part of your home lighting these are low cost, easy to clean & have a hinged, latching door
