They’re really showing us who they are, aren’t they? You’d think the anti-anti- crowd would be angriest of all about how their brand is being tarnished by authoritarianism, fascism, ethnonationalism, etc…
“They find it tolerable” is probably the best you can say about them.
They find it tolerable that declared fascists have major platforms in conservative media.
They find it tolerable that their party leadership has decided to circle the wagons and cover up their involvement in a violent insurrection.
They find it tolerable that their political leaders are neutral at-best on vocally advocating full vaccination, using all non-compulsory tools available, because it might alienate their paranoid base.
They find it tolerable that once-respected think tanks have been taken over by admirers of authoritarianism who believe that secession should be seriously contemplated.
They find it tolerable that anyone who opposes this extremism is drummed out of the party, while occasionally noting their objections for the record.
All of this, they find tolerable. It’s a choice.

These pundits live in a self-imposed fantasy land. “Our chosen ones would never pander to the antivax sentiment that’s become endemic on the right, and shame on you for daring to make such an implication.”
The funny thing is that these same people would say “Trump isn’t a cause, he’s a symptom.” And they had a point. Trump was a symptom of a conservative movement that lost its way, and a feckless political class that fell in line behind him.
Yet their favored candidates, no they can’t be symptoms of the movement that produced Trump. They’re causes! No one tells them what to do!

I'd like to see the 1/6 Select Committee invite former Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos to read her resignation letter aloud.

Former Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao could also explain why she resigned immediately following the Capitol insurrection.
They should also call former Trump Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, who resigned as US envoy to Northern Ireland after 1/6.

Mulvaney explained that other senior officials "are choosing to stay because they're worried the president might put someone worse in."

Vance in 2016: “In nominating Trump, Republicans have come full circle: The party of Lincoln has become the party of the white man. And that man has become extremely cynical.”

Vance: “The reality is not that black Americans enjoy special privileges. In fact, the overwhelming weight of the evidence suggests that the opposite is true.”
“Getting whipped into a frenzy on conspiracy websites, or feeling that distant, faceless elites dislike you because of your white skin, doesn’t compare.”

Ashli Babbitt went to Capitol Hill and crawled through broken glass because she wanted Mike Pence to die. @MariaBartiromo calls her a “wonderful woman.” ImageImage
Consider the message this sends to other elected Republicans: not only will Donald Trump glorify the 1/6 lynch mob; so will Fox News. “Ride or die.”
And if they can effectively target Mike Pence for death and suffer no consequences, anything is on the table. You can’t expect the rank-and-file to openly resist this violent agitation. They have families.

Did "GETTR" just straight up copy people's old Twitter feeds? Why do they have posts from 2012?
gettr.com/post/puq4
lmao way to keep these old posts alive
So here's the answer, you can upload your old Twitter content and have it mirrored at the new site.

Dunno if that's allowed under Twitter's TOS but there you go.
