The wait continues for an #Archery medal at the Games but how brilliant was Atanu Das' stunning win against the London 2012 champ and Korean legend Oh Jinhyek.
In #Rowing, India's best ever finish at the Games as Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh reached semifinal through repechage and eventually claimed 11th spot. ππ½

Kamalpreet Kaur continued her rise in Indian #Athletics as she reached the final of women's discus throw before eventually finishing 6th. Her throw in the qualification round was the 2nd best overall.
One of the biggest disappointments for #IND at the Games came from the boxing rind as the top seed Amit Panghal was stunned in the first round. Except for Lovlina, it was a below par campaign for the boxers despite expectations π₯
India's shooting campaign then came to a close. For the second #Olympics straight, the high expectations were not met and they finished with no medals. More worryingly, only one event saw an Indian finalist.
First the men's team defeated #GBR and then the women's team produced a stunning upset of the mighty Aussies... and #IND became the only country to have semifinalists in both events of #Hockey.
The last time India had participation in Equestrian at the Games was in Sydney 2000. Fouaad Mirza and #SeigneurMedicott impressed during their debut and reached the final.
In wrestling, Ravi Kumar Dahiya produced an absolutely sensational comeback from 2-9 down in the semifinal to ensure India's 4th medal. We won't get tired of watching this win.
What a bronze medal match it was in men's hockey between India and Germany. Nine goals, sensational saves, tears, joy... and a famous bronze medal for Manpreet, Sreejesh and Co.
On the same day as hockey bronze, came Ravi Kumar Dahiya's π₯ silver medal. And after a hard-fought final, Ravi said: 'Didnβt come for a silver, itβll not give me satisfaction'
They just missed out on the final by a whisker, but Indiaβs Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Noah Nirmal Tom, Arokia Rajiv and Amoj Jacob put in a fine effort in 4x400m relay to set a new Asian Record. A fantastic feat. ππ½
She made thousands learn rules of golf. She was ranked world No 200 & competed with the best in the world. In the end it was agonising. It still stings.

With his π₯, Bajrang Punia helped India equal their tally from London 2012. Hampered by injury issues, Bajrang Punia went into the bronze medal bout without tapes around his knee. Injury can wait, but the medal must be won now.
