When e country is in trouble, what I would expect from e opposition party/coalition is a well-thought-out proposal/plan to overcome e issue (e crackpot Pres. won't even consider it, that is a different story), not a protest to convince yourself that you could become e President
Like many people who attended/observed e protest pointed out it was more of a anti-Gota/Rajapaksa protest as people find it extremely difficult to put food on e table. Yes, Harsha & Eran are making the effort. But as the official opposition it is SJB's duty to present a solution.

matter of urgency as it would otherwise present a serious obstacle to any inclusive and long term process of reconciliation. It is noted that given the past incidents of disappearances from different parts of the country and investigative efforts thereon a special mechanism to
Proposed 20th Amendment to the Constitution repeals Article 33A which makes the President answerable to the Parliament.

(c) ensure and facilitate the proper functioning of the
Constitutional Council and the institutions

to in Chapter VIIA; and
(d) on the advice of the Election Commission, ensure the
creation of proper conditions for the conduct of free
