Correct observations of the world as it is have monetary value; that the phase where this became the dominant model of journalism was anomalous doesn't change the fact that there are always people who need an accurate portrayal of events
Rather than a workout for the primal regions of their limbic system to feel alive
Given that this is the case there *should* be a business case for at least one news outlet that fulfills this role while others provide the reality-adjacent fan fiction that the masses of the heavily credentialed but partially educated seem to crave
Reality may well already be a niche product, but it will always be a reasonably big one
