More fully: "(The victim) identifies w/the aggressor, who is introjected as a psychic attempt to control an intolerable conflict situation... (T)he victim introjects the aggressor's abusive/negative view of himself (which often leads) to self-destructive attitudes and behaviors."

It is thus critical to understand that the purpose of most propaganda is not to convince, but (like most forms of psychological abuse) to humiliate, overwhelm, & confuse. The goal is to destroy a subject's sense of reality, and reduce him to a state of dependency and openness.

Max efficiency is only achieved w/full control over a subject’s environment. Hence POWs are kept isolated for enhanced interrogation, cults’ first priority is to isolate members from outsiders, and the regime is so keen to “protect us from disinformation.”
