The anti-vax/masks/lockdowns propaganda looks *identical* to the American "Astroturfing - "an artificially-manufactured political movement designed to give the appearance of grassroots activism."
using religion to gather millions around an anti-abortion movement then steer them into voting for the GOP - against most of these voters rational economic interests.
It has worked exceedingly well for generations.
Some clues there for us, but still so many questions.

In America the propaganda also creates and finances "think tanks" and lobby groups, to influence the media and politicians.
Here some of these anti-vaxs/masks/lockdowns lobby groups have also managed to have meetings with our MPs, as @karamballes has tweeted for instance.
