So what if Putin pressured trump to announce the drawdown of troops in Afghanistan and as @DirkSchwenk has asked, what if the afghan government already agreed to hand the country over to the Taliban? Who would that benefit?
The question becomes why would Biden go along with this and not the Germany drawdown? He may not have known the Afghans would lie down. He promised to end the war in Afghanistan. It was ALWAYS going to be a mess when we left…
