Just remembered something my Dad did during our family call yesterday. He went through our family photos the other day and found an old form for a netball tour to Malaysia. I’m pretty sure that’s from when I was 16.
But during the call yesterday he randomly apologized for not letting me go on the tour. I’d forgotten all about it but the memory came back after some serious recollection.
I remember why they said no - tbh it was valid. And I ended up going on a better tour the next year. But the fact that he remembered that and apologized…I laughed it off. But that really resonated with me.
My dad is extremely thoughtful. Extremely. And he’s probably the reason why I cherish that trait. I love that man, and I hope these travel restrictions ease up soon so I can see him & my mom. I miss them so much.

And what makes it annoying is searching. It’s not straightforward. You type “Remote virtual assistant worldwide” and it will pull location-specific jobs :/
Tbh. Finding remote gigs for people outside of the US is still a mess because:
1. Job boards have horrible interfaces
2. Their platforms do not take keywords seriously
3. The sign up process alone is a lot. It’s off putting for newbies.
Putting the hashtag there to make it easier to track. Also I struggled to find a good way to post + make it easy to share, so I'll put each day's gigs in a Notion doc and see where we go with that.
