Who wants facts?

NSW….today wasn’t great.

We thought your number would hit a five before a six.

I’m sure it all feels a little hopeless… but from a Victorian – we’ve been there. Eat chocolate.

NSW - let’s talk. ♥️
The digits:

633 new cases –a jump of 181
158 are linked (145 are from household spread 13 close contacts )
475 are mystery cases
94 were in iso / 30 part iso
62 were in the community
447 cases 🕵🏽 (this means iso status unknown)
462 people are in hospital (⬆️ 10 on yday)
77 in ICU (⬆️ 8 on yday)
25 on ventilators (⬆️1 on yday)
9280 cases have been reported since June 16.

Three people have died.
A man in his 60s.
Two men in their 70s.
There’s also been a record amount of fines – 736.
Almost 450 of these were people who left home without a valid reason.

The health people want to start vaccinating children aged 12-15.

There are again calls from the Premier to strengthen the lockdown.
VICTORIA

The numbers are ok!

We are still doing small jazz hands.

More in iso and most linked.
The numbers as always:

24 new cases
20 linked
18 locked

12 people in hospital
2 in ICU – neither on ventilators
Show me all the places! You got it sis.

10 – Al-Taqwa College
4 – Glenroy West Primary School
2 – CS Square shopping centre
1 – Newport FC
2 – Lygon Street housing towers
Then the unlinked:

1 – lives in Glenroy – there are some leads on this one.
2 - in Altona North in separate houses.
1 – teenager Glen Iris – who works at a pizza store.
What’s happening with the unsolved mysteries?

There are 15 in St Kilda.

They only have one thing in common – their geographical area.

Two of them are homeless – one is a sex worker.

They don’t believe that person transmitted while working.
There is still 🦠 in the 💩 at Shepparton – this has been picked up three times.
ACT

Besties, another day of big numbers – but remember – they expected this.

22 new cases.
All linked.

Total cases 67 (63 are linked)

8417 tests in the last 24 hours (another record)
More schools have been added to the exposure site list:

Harrison Public School

University of Canberra Senior Secondary College Lake Ginninderra

St Thomas Aquinas PS
Lyneham High School, which we knew about, has 15 linked cases.

Besties, there is also mental health support available for those worried about these school clusters.
QLD/TAS/WA/SA/NT

All in the no new cases club singing ‘don’t be suspicious’ - if you know - you know.

More on them ⬇️
QUEENIES

Yas Queens!

No new cases and restrictions are easing early in the south east because Delta not Goodrem has left the building! 🎤
From Friday 4pm (instead of Sunday):

30 people at homes.

Community sport is back (limits apply).

Weddings and funerals back to 100 people.

Stadiums indoors and outdoors up to 75%
You still need to carry your mask at all times –south east people to wear them indoors (not in offices if socially distanced at desks)

They’re also looking at harsher border restrictions with NSW which will involve shortening the essential worker list.
NORTHIES

You guys are looking great.
Second day of lockdown but the politicians are feeling good about coming out of lockdown town on time.

No new cases!

Of the 85 Nothern Territory close contacts  65 have come back negative.
SOUTHIES

Ok, remember the man who walked out of the HQ bin for eight hours?

Turns out – he used a fire escape – got to the carpark- lied to the popo saying he came out of a pub – they let him leave. He then went to the pub and Maccas.
He came back on his own – and was arrested, tested and charged. He was negative.
A review has made nine recommendations including: monitoring CCTV.

Researchers studying kangaroos found they’re primarily left-handed, using that hand for grooming & eating 95% of the time. They also realised kangaroos typically use their left for precision and their right for strength. So if one fights you – watch for the right hook.

What about vaccine facts?

Ok - I hear ya besties. I’ll give you as much data as I can about vaccine before we break it down by state like we normally do.

Might take a few days for me to tweak.

Stay with me while I work out the best way.
