#BREAKING: The Gov't of Jamaica has announced three consecutive days of lock down for the upcoming 2 weeks where no movement is permitted on the streets.
People will be required to stay at home on Sunday, Monday & Tuesday.
2/ On the days following the "no movement days", Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays the curfew will run from 7pm to 5am, except on Saturdays which is 6pm to 5am.
3/ This weekend only, curfew will be extended to allow persons to prepare for no-movement days. On Friday, August 20 the curfew will start at 9PM and on Saturday, August 21 the curfew will start at 8pm.
6/ #Weddings -No more than 20 persons will be permitted to physically attend the ceremony.
7/ On no movement days, people who are seeking urgent medical attention and those who are traveling will be allowed to travel to their destinations only.
Also, those who are going to vaccination sites will be allowed to do so.
8/ On no movement days, people are encouraged to be in a position where they are able to show evidence that they are on the road for the purpose of getting the vaccine.......
8 (cont'd) ..... Provision of a first dose vaccination card while heading for the second dose or proof of an appointment made to be inocculated are considered evidence of intent to get the jab on no movement days.
9/ No funeral services will be allowed between August 25th to September 7, 2021.
Burials will be allowed between that date on Mondays to Friday but a maximum of 15 persons will be allowed at the site including mourners, grave diggers etc.
Time limit for burial is 30 minutes.
