The working class knows they don't need the rling class. That the ruling class are parasites on them

The clerks on the other hand know that they are parasites on the ruling class.

And so they desperately wish to "believe" (to hope) that the ruling class values them, respects

them, recognizes in them equals or at least members of the same species.

For this reason you have clerks truly upset &outraged by the imposition on them of the social credit system in US or Europe and praising to the skies how it is inflicted on working class in China

This is very very simple self interest: they want the ruling class to keep the chinese workers in total control under the boot, because this is what allows the ruling class to extract the surplus and toss them crumbs of it -- nice crumbs. Dental implants. Laptops. Clothes.

And these parasites on the parasites want desperately to "believe" that the only reason the ruling class even has all these slaves and drives them so hard is to provide civilized and comfortable lifestyle for their house servants courtiers and jesters. The viciousness of

the clerk class now has to do with these intimations they can no longer avoid that the ruling class doesn't respect or value them, that the billionaires have as much contempt for them as they themselves have for the sweatshop workers in Sri Lanka. Who are really just abstractions

If they weren't just abstractions they couldn't feel as cherished by the ruling class themselves or as unembarrassed with the encomia to the bloodbaths of Real Politik of their favorite celebrity (sometimes "socialist") billionaires.
