@litcrittree3 Couldn’t agree more! Everyone can have their opinions about characters. Now some we may completely disagree with and can’t see how anyone could come to that conclusion (I.e. Lucas being shady) but as we said if some fans want to think that they can. 1/ #hearties#LucaBeth
@litcrittree3 The problem comes when some fans take “their” opinions of characters, that aren’t shown at all in the show. And believe that they are canon. And that they can defend their opinion to others when as you said it’s indefensible. 2/ #hearties#LucaBeth
@litcrittree3 Or prove their opinion as fact when the exact opposite has been shown in the show and in fact everything in the show goes against that viewpoint. 3/ #hearties#LucaBeth
@litcrittree3 It’s worse when they use and also expect their opinion to determine the outcome of some of the storylines. Such as L being shady. Some TN fans took this opinion as fact (Despite NOT one single character in the show questioning his actions or integrity.) 4/ #hearties#Lucabeth
@litcrittree3 And expected Elizabeth to dump him (Lucas) and be with an actual honorable man (Nathan). 5/ #hearties#lucabeth
@litcrittree3 You may not agree with the way the writers write certain storylines or portray certain characters actions (in a negative view or positive view). But if you disregard what’s been shown and only accept your opinions you’re going to feel misled. 6/ #hearties#lucabeth
@litcrittree3 If you accepted Lucas as manipulative and shady as fact, of course you won’t understand how Elizabeth could pick him. 7/ #hearties#lucabeth
@litcrittree3 If you regard all the moments Elizabeth and Lucas shared as superficial and forced, despite the writers showing though their words and actions how much E and L enjoyed being together, you’ll feel misled. 8/ #hearties#lucabeth
@litcrittree3 If you accept as fact that Elizabeth kept seeking Nathan out to purposely lead him on or just because she wanted to see him, in spite of there always being a reason behind her seeking him out, you’ll feel misled. 9/ #hearties#lucabeth
@litcrittree3 This all to say if you chose to use your opinions of characters/storylines (that aren’t shown as true or supported by canon in the show) to analyze a show, especially a love 🔺, and ignore the writers’ intent you’ll end up with the wrong conclusion. 10/10 #hearties#lucabeth
