Bring out their version of the so called "fact-finding" exercise that they were onto.
We were surprised to read this cunningly written invest report cum memoir that surreptitiously reads as a self eulogy for @Reuters rather than anything else...

Here are the facts and the glaring chinks in @Reuters armour: (trying to go as per the chronology of the Reuters)
1. The @Reuters claim in their report that Afghan officials and Indian govt officials claim that his body was mutilated while in Taliban custody..promptly

The skull was smashed, the jaws were overlapping and the chest had crushed rib bones...these images were shared with @Reuters
Reuters still cannot "independently" confirm if the body was mutilated!
As per the report.

@Reuters consulted a British Ballistics expert to confirm bullet injuries, cos that's what a Ballistic expert can confirm! While it was clearly stated by all witnesses that his body was subject to mutilation AFTER pumping bullets into him and killing him!! The post mortem report?

@Reuters could get minute to minute details of the action that went during the operation and knew exactly when the Special Forces unit left Siddiqui behind...but were unable to gather any detail about the cold blooded murder of an injured Siddiqui surprisingly even after....

Admitting in their report that the Taliban on phone confirmed the Special Forces Officer that they have killed him

@Reuters cannot "independently" confirm even after the Taliban fighter has confirmed that they killed Siddiqui!

@Reuters say that the family claims that the body was mutilated..we are really curious to know what colleagues at @ReutersIndia have to claim who may have seen the body.
Except ofcourse for : @DevjyotGhoshal who seems to have accepted that the body was not mutilated!

We give highest priority to risk assessment...
Also @Reuters we do not have a Security Advisor since March 2020..

The absence of a risk assessment in-charge for South Asia should have made the role of the South Asian Bureau Chief more significant...
But Danish's case for embedding himself was directly approved by London based editors... WHY?

The decision to embed Danish with the "US Trained Elite Afghan Forces" (as per @Reuters own description) was taken on 11 July when the forces had suffered a casualty of 21 on 16 June and the Taliban had captured more than 80pc of territory. Without consulting any regional editors

an embedded journalist was posting live updates of his reports and location on social media in the middle of war in a location where he was extremely vulnerable cos of his nationality. Why didnt the "editors-in-chief" who took responsibility for sending him, warn him against it..

@Reuters has made a sheepish attempt to cover the brutal murder and desecration of a human body by giving it the cover of a combat casualty.
Truth is far from what has been brought out..
He was alive when he was captured, was killed in cold blood with more than a dozen bullets..

His body was dragged out of the mosque and run over by a heavy vehicle to an extent that it left clear and visible tyre marks..
Danish, true to his nature, left "photographic evidences" of everything that happened with him but
@Reuters chose to IGNORE!

It is difficult to predict the compulsions under which this belated report has been sheepishly pushed out in the open, but the fact that a deceased colleague has been betrayed, clearly stands out!
