1./ Tick Tock. Is that the sound of a stone wall crumbling? @Ofcom has finally recognised it has to be impartial and is leaving @Stonewalluk's insidious Diversity Champions scheme. But let's not forget how a national regulator managed to give the distinct impression of bias.👇
2./ Last year at a meeting of @CommonsDCMS an MP who's grown hugely obsessed about so-called "trans rights" @mrjohnnicolson, led the head of @ofcom into a trap by comparing @ALLIANCELGB to hate groups. He asked her to comment on who the BBC should be interviewing.👇
3./ Forget for a moment it's not @dawes_melanie's job to tell BBC journalists who she thinks they should be interviewing before the fact; even if she HAD knowledge on the subject they intend to cover, which in this case she clearly doesn't. She then made an appalling admission.
4./ She acknowledged @ofcom had sought the advice on these fraught debates around gender identity of an organisation that's widely described in the media as controversial because it takes an extreme position in those same debates. Yes, none other than @stonewalluk
5./ It's worth repeating her words. "This is something we've been talking to Stonewall about: how can the broadcasters-when they do feel the need to bring balance into a debate- do this in an appropriate way." But Stonewall aren't mediators. They're partisans.
6./ They're so extreme they even expressed how "incredibly disappointed" they were when the RFU suggested height and weight limits for transwomen. Apparently broken bones and much worse are risks women must take to advance Stonewall's "inclusion". stonewall.org.uk/about-us/news/…
7./ Should the BBC ask them who to interview about women's sports? Might as well ask Shell who to question about oil issues. These vested interest lobbyists take such extreme positions on gender identity that another founder Simon Callow spoke out today.👇thetimes.co.uk/article/actor-…
8./ Simon said, he felt nervous about speaking out and "I shouldn't have to fear in that way". He also described the silencing of critics of Stonewall's over-promotion of transition to young gay people as "a tyranny". @ofcom have quite clearly enabled that tryanny.
9./ That's why @ofcom must do more than remove @stonewalluk as a back seat driver in what is a national regulator. They need urgently to clarify that broadcasters have the perfect right to interview people with gender critical views in gender debates. That's what BALANCE means.
10./ "Our side" disagree strongly with hysterical outrage or bullying of civil servants. But perhaps it's time we wrote respectful letters to Ofcom to point out they really do need to apologise properly for Dame Melanie's ill-judged comments to Nicolson.👇ofcom.org.uk/complaints/get…

1./ "Transwomen are women", says @AlexofBrown in @TheScotsman today. "Yet it is a truth not universally acknowledged." Wow, it's a mystery Charlie Brown. Maybe we'll never get to the bottom of it. scotsman.com/news/opinion/t…
2./ Among his collection of clichés masquerading as an Opinion is the Scottish public voted for Self-ID. Get real. Where was Gender Self-ID in the SNP's Party Political Broadcasts (with their bonkers 1984 moodboard)?👇 snp.org/watch-our-new-…
3./ A month after the Scottish election @mbmpolicy dissected the arguments of all the major political parties when they were questioned about Self-ID or reform of the Gender Recognition Act. The level of disinformation and total confusion was startling. 👇murrayblackburnmackenzie.org/wp-content/upl…
1./ On the LGBTQ+ gravy train. The latest news from New York reminds us of what's gone wrong with so much of the LGBTQ+ movement. In order to maintain influence with dodgy politicians it's increasingly willing to sacrifice almost any ethical restraint.👇nypost.com/2021/09/05/alp…
2./ How else to explain the head of @HRC, (the US's premier LGBTQ+ group) helping ex-Gov Cuomo, an alleged serial sexual harasser, in attempts to discredit a victim? David and Cuomo's relationship is an emblem of the entitlement that drives planet LGBTQ+. nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-ne…
3./ For 9 years before he was appointed David had worked for Cuomo, the ultimate machine politician, including as Counsel. It's widely thought his appointment was due to Cuomo's influence and the fact he had the powerful Governor's ear. nytimes.com/2021/08/12/nyr…
1./ At the heart of the debate on Gender Self ID (which allows any male to say he’s a women, no questions asked) is the protection of actual women from pervs. Advocates say we shouldn’t worry despite countries who pioneered Self ID being run by corrupt ghouls (like Malta)👇
2./ Or THE global champion of gender Self-ID poor ol’ Argentina which has been driven to bankruptcy by the serial liars, thugs and anti-Semitic nut jobs that surround Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner who never saw a law or boundary she didn’t try to break.👇
3./ The sense of momentum created by these two corrupt cesspits was used to push Self ID into law in Ireland but under cover of gay marriage & using the deceptive tactics outlined in an infamous report that advised never debating it openly. 👇spectator.co.uk/article/the-do…
1./ Don't call me Queer. Another brilliant piece from a smart gay bloke rejecting the Q word. Such a change from just 2 years ago when LGBTQ+ bullies were busy squashing all before them; erasing women's hard fought rights & gaslighting lesbians and gays. tortoisemedia.com/2021/08/27/i-d…
2./ The fear then was LGB people would be tarnished by association with an extreme movement that supports medicalising kids, removing safeguarding boundaries and endangering women. A public backlash loomed and we'd have been blamed. Now every day brings a new takedown like this.
3./ That's because thankfully more and more LGB people are bravely standing up to say...not in our name. And not just because we don't want to be tarred with the freaky 'queer' brush. Even if the LGBTQ+ agenda somehow DID work for LGB people (and it doesn't)...it's misconceived.
1./ The Nicolson Effect. Who knew it was the job of the @DCMS to ask members of staff at the communications regulator to DM an MP who disagrees with a decision. We've become used to leading SNP figures breaking boundaries, but this takes the biscuit. "In confidence" indeed.👇
2./ @julianknight15 or @DamianGreen and other members may wish to consider whether this behaviour undermines the reputation of their committee. Not content with ambushing @dawes_melanie Nicolson now seems intent on trolling any decision she makes by stirring up her staff.
3./ You may remember Nicolson was the genius that spread a conspiracy theory about how a tiny LGB rights group was running a global plot last year to take over the SNP. A box of frogs anyone? There wasn't a jot of truth in his claim. There never is.
1./ Wow! It's hard to underestimate the impact of today's article by @Ruth_Wishart. One of Scotland's most respected voices, she's the definition of the intelligent mainstream of our public and cultural life. Now she's got the measure of the trans lobby.👇archive.vn/QRD1x
2./ Like most moderate people in Scotland I suspect Ruth has watched with mounting concern as month by month strange new policies have been proposed. No longer. Her latest column is perhaps the most robust rejection of gender wokery I've ever read. newsweek.com/kids-young-fou…
3./ In one searing piece she demolishes the pretensions of the trans + lobby and its aims. She even name checks a certain rebel group called @ALLIANCELGB. If Ruth has reached this conclusion you can be sure the views of mainstream Scotland are shifting; and won't be far behind.
