Side projects help you:

– Practice coding skills
– Standout in job search
– Learn new tech
– Potentially make money

Below are some ideas/inspirations for your side projects to practice, but also will be useful for your own use:

👇🧵
A note-taking app that works with your own note-taking style.
Personal website to show off all of the apps you have made.
Budget/expensive tracking app that fits your own spending behavior.
A fitness tracking app (e.g. pushups) that works with your own workout schedule/style.
A real-time chat app that you will use with your GF or family.
Pick a beautiful design from Dribbble and implement it in CSS (or your own Swift UI, Flutter, etc.).
A timer/stopwatch app that you will use.
A news reader app (RSS reader) that fits with your reading habit.
A Chrome/Firefox extension to help you search from your browsing history (this one can be very helpful!)
A habit tracker app that motivates you to learn a new habit every day. Could be a mobile/web/desktop app.
A code snippet manager app where you keep your code snippets and look them up whenever you want, with all the features that fit with your own coding habit/IDE/environment.
A real-time voting app where you can ask a question and create a link to other people to vote on the answers (like what movie should we watch together, etc.)

The new landing page is out!

A bunch of videos, and still maintaining 99/100 Page Speed score ✨ (only on Desktop 😂)

Roast my landing page! 👉 devutils.app ImageImage
I still have a lot of items to work on the page to make it 100% my likings, but I'll have to accept it as it is for now. 😅

Need to move on to other stuff, otherwise, I'll be stuck at optimizing the landing page forever 😂
A list of non-obvious things I want to show off because I already spent way too much time on them 😂:

– There are both light/dark theme depends on the current system mode.
– The page (and the videos) work even if JavaScript is disabled
– All videos/images are lazy-loaded

They all have a FREE plan (best for indie hackers!)

✨ Free/powerful photo editor for graphical marketing materials, websites, icons, UI design, presentations, or social media.
2/ 🔗 invisionapp.com

✨ Best when you need fast UI design and prototype. You can have 1 active prototype with the free plan but that's enough most of the time!
