THREAD: We're excited to honor our #NexstarNation Digital Content Influencers for August!
These folks have gone above and beyond to work towards goals, improve their station’s digital content offerings, and assist their regional neighbors. 🎊
☑️ East Coast: @Emma_north6 of @8NEWS consistently leads the station’s top authors list for her work on breaking news and enterprise content throughout her shifts. She takes the lead in the newsroom during the evenings and ensures they have the latest updates available.
☑️Gulf: Dionne Johnson of @KLFY was a top author across the region in August. Her stories are regularly shared across the area benefitting numerous sites.
☑️ Northeast: @WWLP22News' Ashley Shook has a deep understanding of Springfield’s digital audience and that’s reflected in the site’s numbers. She’s been in the #1 spot all year on the station's website -- both for users and pageviews.
☑️ Midwest: @Burbrink_4 at @FOX59/@CBS4Indy is a data wizard who has produced fantastic interactive content to support the station's crime-tracking coverage.
☑️ West: @RehmanFareeha of @kron4news is consistently one of the top authors in the West region. She’s a content-producing machine – posting about 30 stories each week.
☑️ East: @WBOY12News' @theshyladene flagged a local arrest with Ohio ties and collaborated with WCMH to alert them to break the story in their DMA. Her effort helped turn a decently performing story into a top story for all of the sites in West Virginia -- and beyond.
☑️ Plains: When you’re committed to the big story, big things can happen. In anticipation of a trial, this month’s digital influencer @KXMB's Keith Darnay crafted a strong digital content plan centered around SEO and AP style best practices that ended up producing big results.
☑️ Southwest: In August, @kim_querry of @kfor is the highest performing byline in the Southwest. Kim spends her days at KFOR consistently scanning the internet, scouring government and municipal sites, and staying connected with small-town publishers to find ideal stories.
