Do you know that Indian Police Foundation (IPF), a non-profit org that consists of serving/retired top cops from all streams, bureaucrats & having a variety of associations with the public figures including a few NGO that have been a national security challenge?

The thread consists lot of snapshots, recommended to have quick look while scrolling down.

IPF, a NGO, was formed in 2015, largely conceptualized upon ‘SMART’ policing vision by Hon'ble PM. It is a think-tank of public/police/govt top-notches to collaborate for police reform/well-being, which is being said that largely operates from BPRD, Home Ministry premises.

The Executive Committee & General Council is power-hub of 50+ rtd/serving IAS/IPS/TopGovtBureaucrats/ CorporatePlayers/ Editors and ultra high-profile dignitaries, captured in P1, P2, P3.

Most of the credible dignitaries don't need deep insight into the solid construction of the NGO.

Julio Ribeiro- who happens to be a staunch critic of “fascist” Modi/Shah, who recently questioned the integrity of highest offices

Before coming to other big names, shocking to learn that foul-mouth lawyer Deepika Rajawat is also one of the General Council of IPF, the one who speaks a random troll language for PM Modi (P1). How can one even expect, she would carry a crucial visionary project?

However the concern here is not about critics or irrelevant trolls, but the collaboration & on-boards of IPF from int’nal NGOs like CHRI (Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative), CPR (Center for Policy Research), NAMATI, Ford Foundation, therefore much more..

Sanjoy Hazarika who is IPF Exec Committee member, is CHRI Int'nal Director & also ‘Faculty Emeriti’ at CPR. (P1,2)

Maja Daruwala, renowned face for many int'nal forums, is Ex-Dir of CHRI, associated with Ford Foundation and NAMATI, is a General Council member at IPF. (P3,4)

What is CHRI? – Biggies of NGO, CHRI is funded by Open Society Foundation (OSF) led by George Soros who openly pledged $1Bn against India’s “Authoritarian Regime” & is the face behind almost all NGOs that have been driving left-leaning propaganda all over the world.

CHRI is also funded by Omidiyar Nw, Ford Foundation (known for CIA links) & Friedrich Naumman (Ger) (another "liberal" NGO, similar objective). Coincidentally, FNS used to fund Rajiv Gandhi Foundation also.

After MHA put OSF in “Prior Permission” list (no grants without approval) in 2016, influx from OSF to CHRI stopped, BUT started routing through CHRI (UK) to CHRI (India). This can be verified from their annual reports.

Critical Note- CHRI’s FCRA Reg. has been SUSPENDED in Jun21 for violations of the FC Act(2010), consequently a/c frozen.

The same story goes for NAMATI & CPR whose functionaries are on-boarded with IPF, funded by OSF, Ford & Omidiyar. Usually, all like-minded NGOs funding goes under layers, to-eachother & quite difficult to trail it. (Check P1,2,3)

Almost a year back, journalist Madhu Kishwar sought attention of HM Amit Shah by an open letter with series of qu. such as IPF using “Indian” in the name of NGO, functioning from BPRD home ministry premises, presence of CHRI, consequently national security concern. (P1,P2)

The trigger event was IPF's condemnation for a TV show where contents alleged that ZFI (Zakat Foundation of India), linked with fugitive Zakir Naik, ISI & Lashkar-e-Taiba, running the agenda of placing a particular community into UPSC positions. Link-

IPF discredit the show one-sidedly as ‘bigotry’. In response to the letter, there has been a public debate between Kishwar & IPF Chairman Shi Prakash Singh.

He responded over ZFI, CHRI, Geroge Soros, NAMATI, Fundings or yet not responded, almost.

In nutshell:

On ZFI, IPF denied having knowledge of it or its functions/intensions.

On CHRI, IPF disturbingly claimed that it is NOT aware of CHRI source of funds & functions. Neither had ever heard a name- George Soros.(P1)

On BPRD premises, no response.
On Funding, IPF says it doesn’t accept foreign funding & runs largely by ‘self’ contribution. IPF is not FCRA registered.

However, it is beyond comprehends the way it lacks knowledge of associations & transparency which any reg. NGO would do..

Btw, IPF is having Int’nal Director of CHRI (a suspended NGO) as Committee members on board, having dignitaries from IB, CBI, having conducted events together.

SMART policing vision by Hon’ble PM is much-needed reform to bridge the gap between cops & commoners.

Having said that, there have been valid concerns over a few functionaries, associations, ways of working, operations & transparency,

..which one would only urge IPF to consider a 'reform within' before it sets dangerous precedence, for the already alarming NGO sector. All for a larger national security interest.
