Ehn, yeast infection is not a sexually transmitted disease (STD). Yeast infection is not sexually and you don’t use antibiotics in treating a yeast infection. You do even more harm when you try that. Yeast infections are treated with anti-fungals.
Yeast infection occurs when a fungus known as candida grows out of control. Candida is kept under control by the lactobacilli which are the good flora (probiotics), anything that tilts the balance between the lactobacilli and candida can predispose one to a yeast infection.

Things like using
-Broad spectrum antibiotics
-Malnutrition
-Douching the vagina especially with antiseptic soaps or vaginal wash etc.
-Diabetes
-Impaired immune system

Signs you have a yeast infection include:

-Redness and swelling of the vulva
-Vaginal rash
-Thick white odour free vaginal discharge
-Burning sensation during sex or while urinating.
When you notice this, see your healthcare provider for appropriate medications.
If you're pregnant, make sure to consult your doctor before using any medication because it may cause miscarriage or birth defects.
Same goes to breastfeeding mothers, it is very important.
