Since Ronaldo joined Man United everyone has been saying get him in because he is Cristiano Ronaldo but there are a lot of questions as to team lineup age issues etc
In this thread, I will cover the following points.⤵️ 1. Will he start in Gw 4 2. Has his age affected his output 3. Set piece opportunities 4. Past Records in the PL 5. My Verdict
Will he start? : First things first here is how I expect us to Lineup against Newcastle proving no one gets injured in the International break.
Ronaldo at Juventus mostly played as a forward 9 and not as a left-winger as he used to in his old United days these are his heatmaps Heatmaps from his Juventus days. The positioning Ronaldo played pretty central for Juventus last year and had plenty of joy in that position
scoring 36 goals and 4 assists which comes up to 40 goal involvements in 44 games which is a crazy output. Ronaldo also had the most non-penalty goals last year in the Serie A even more than Lukaku who has been a community favorite for a while.(23 v 18)
Age factor👨: Ronaldo accumulated an xGi/90 of 0.63 last year also looking at the previous data he has averaged 0.78 xGi/90 over the last 5 years which is absolutely crazy numbers and definitely one of the best in the world. Ageing like a fine wine.🍷
Many people are also worried about Ronaldo being rotated by Ole due to his age(36) but last year he played 33 games in Serie A he missed 5,3 of which were due to injury. This year Manchester United have a lot of options but Ronaldo will be the first choice number 9 and will also
be on Penalties and Direct freekicks like he is for Portugal which adds to his FPL potential🥅
Ronaldo's past record at Manchester United speaks volumes having had 114 Goal involvements in 196 games also having a 31 goal season in that which although was a decade ago but
Ronaldo has scored 20+ goals in every season since 2006-07 which is an absolutely crazy stat. For context, last year in the PL only Kane and Salah scored 20 plus goals last year.
FPL history of Ronaldo also shows crazy numbers in 2006/2007 season he got 244 points,
2007/2008 season he got 283 points which shows the amount of consistency he had in FPL. Ronaldo left the PL in the 2009 season.
Verdict Ronaldo if he is priced anywhere below 13mil is a great buy and an amazing captaincy option against Newcastle in Gw 4. He will also be in on
Penalties and Freekicks of which all add to his FPL potential. He also massively increases Brunos FPL assist potential.

In this thread, we scope in on the 3 most inform players of GW1, with each of us providing a verdict on whether to ‘buy’ or ‘ignore’ each bandwagon
This week we cover:
Paul Pogba
H.M. Son
Said Benrahma #FPL
Pogba had 4 assists against Leeds United and has had his first price rise of the season, Even though Pogba was brilliant against Leeds Pogba is a curious case of being a good player in real life and not good FPL wise, He is the most transferred in player this week too. Heatmap⤵️
Pogba only had an xA of 0.72 against Leeds which shows he outperformed massively with Leeds conceding from half chances, at 7.5mil Greenwood is the better option as he is playing OOP as a number 9.
Pogba is #6 in the below diagram
Below are Some of the best captaincy options from weeks 1-10 and some keynotes from me after them

Captaincy points accumulate to the majority of points in a GW and can make or break a Gameweek if you have a good captaincy haul
Keynotes
Between Gw 1-6 Bruno and Salah are the standout options and are therefore definite locks in my team
After Gw 6 Bruno to a Chelsea asset
possibly or Man City asset will give the best captaincy option moving forward
With 2 premium in MID approach, I think Salah and Bruno are the best to begin the season with
This was inspired by @LetsTalk_FPL approach last year where he had planned all the captaincy decisions
