OF COURSE. In June, Fred Prehn point-blank lied to the media, saying he didn't hear anything from WI Legislative Republicans about him staying in his seat on the Natural Resources Board after his 6-year term expired. Just in case you needed more evidence of him lacking any honor.
It's why I kept banging on about that May 25 LBR memo that Prehn kept using as justification to stay on. He was also in contact w/ Scott Manley of @WisconsinMC, which has effusively supported his refusal to step down, saying he's proven to be an "independent" member of the board.
If you're wondering if there are any close connections between Scott Meyer (the lobbyist Prehn was in regular contact with) and Luke Hilgemann, the CEO of Hunter Nation which just filed to intervene in the lawsuit by @WisDOJ to remove Prehn... OH HELL YES. archive.jsonline.com/news/statepoli…
"The new records also indicate that (audit spokesman Randy) Pullen was in touch w/ Reince Priebus, Trump’s first chief of staff & the former head of both the national & the Wisconsin Republican Party, as far back as December, before Pullen was officially involved in the 'audit.'"
"The privilege log also indicates that top 'audit' officials — including Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan, Senate Liaison Ken Bennett, and spokesman Randy Pullen — exchanged a number of emails with Shiva Ayyadurai, an election conspiracy theorist and anti-vaccine activist..."
"...whose Twitter account was suspended back in February. During a recent interview on Steve Bannon’s podcast, Reince Priebus reportedly said that the Wisconsin Assembly would be bringing in Ayyadurai to assist in its own partisan investigation of the 2020 election."
Local media not being very precise as they continue to blithely conflate @RebeccaforReal & the work (like that awful "Forward Agenda") of @1848Project when it's a 501(c)(4) tax-exempt social welfare organization proves how they keep ignoring a huge story right under their noses.
It was only five years ago when the John Doe investigation emails were leaked (not to our local media, it should be noted) and revealed how @ScottWalker coordinated w/ a 501(c)(4) group (WI Club for Growth) to circumvent the reporting and contributions provisions of WI statutes.
Now we all know that the four conservative justices of the WI Supreme Court (including David Prosser who was featured in those emails) shut down the John Doe investigation. So do you think that's deterred @wisgop or has EMBOLDENED them to keep doing that type of shit & then some?
Robin Vos projecting BIG TIME in his FB post that he says states the "truth" about his record. It's basically Vos saying to us Wisconsinites who are suffering, "Who are you going to believe: me or your lying eyes?" So, allow me to respond to each of Vos' four points. @JoelforWI
@GovEvers proposed giving the DHS a "sum sufficient" appropriation to respond to the virus but Vos didn't want to give up control so the bill set up a $75M fund to be overseen by the Legislature’s GOP-controlled budget committee, forcing Evers to submit requests. Sounds familiar?
WI Republicans also dragged their feet in passing the bill mere days before WI would have lost out on hundreds of millions of federal dollars, forcing @GovEvers to sign an inadequate bill that was suppose to be a starting point in giving relief to Wisconsinites, not an end-all.
