In my youth, I read about the fall of Saigon, Operation Eagle Claw, the Berlin Airlift, Dunkirk.

In the last week I have seen them all wrapped up in a single word: Kabul.
Hundreds of Americans left behind.

Thousands of terrorists freed from jail.

Countless numbers of Afghan allies stranded.

Billions of dollars of American hardware abandoned.

And private individuals blocked from assisting the evacuation efforts.
The National Command Authority has broken faith with citizens, troops and allies alike.

The White House, the Department of Defense, the senior military leadership, everyone charged with the security of America—and the world.

They have lost all moral authority.
America's allies now know they cannot count on America.

America's enemies now know they have a golden opportunity to acquire American military technology, to achieve their strategic goals.

American troops and citizens now know they cannot count on their own leadership.
The Establishment has installed its man in the Oval Office.

Now the world will suffer.

Everything that happened in Kabul, everything will flow from Kabul, is on the heads of the Biden Administration and everyone who supported them.
America, I must ask you this:

Do you believe in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

Do you believe in the city upon a hill?

Do you believe in the dream that was America?
If you do, reclaim your birthright.

The generations before you have entrusted you with their legacy.

The generations to come after you are counting on you.
The Establishment has sentenced you and your children to a thousand years of darkness.

They've forced the world down the first tottering steps.

Turn back now.

Do not go into the night.

Take back your heritage, your culture, your nation.
Dare to become, once again, the light unto the nations.

For if you fail, then there will be only darkness.

66% of consumers buy into belief.

78% of liberals expect brands to take a stand, but only 52% of conservatives do.

82% of liberals believe brands are credible when taking stands, but only 46% of conservatives do.

The logic of capitalism entices corporations to go woke.

/1
Polarisation is a high-risk high-reward marketing strategy.

By taking a stand, a company signals its values.

It turns off customers who aren't aligned with the values it signals, and makes fans out of customers whose values are aligned with the company's.

/2
This does two things:

1. Encourage customers to self-select by having non-aligned customers break away.

2. Make fans out of disengaged but value-aligned customers, encouraging them to buy even more.

The hope is that profits from the latter outweigh the former.

Right-wing media moan about how the Left has captured arts and culture.

The same media then refuse to give publicity to Right-wing artists.

This shows us that:

They don’t care about culture.

They’d rather complain and concede.

They are setting up their own grift.

/1
I’ve been a reader since the 1990s.

I started with thrillers.

Even today, the genre is a bastion for conservatives and right-wingers of all kinds.

You have to work to find a self-declared leftist / liberal / progressive in this genre.

/2
How many right-wing thriller writers can these media outlets name that weren’t also journalists?

Those who can’t show they don’t care about culture.

Those who don’t care about culture except as a springboard to attack the Left and grow their audience should be ignored. /3

If you're at risk of being cancelled, having multiple income streams is not a luxury.

It is mandatory.
At least one of those income streams must be:

* Disconnected from your public profile
* Not reliant on political trends
* Highly secure
* Independent of new clients, acquaintances, and people you cannot trust
* Difficult / impossible for law enforcement to shut down
This income stream must be insulated from political and social shocks as completely as possible.

It must be uninterruptible, or at least resilient.

It must be able to support you and your dependents for at least 3 to 6 months.

The business of entertainment is too important to be left to megacorps, pedophiles, and small-souled bugmen who delight only in forcing their ideas on others and demanding them to pay for the privilege.

Every work of art, no matter how great or minor, builds upon the culture.

It is a conversation with the past, and sows the seeds for the future.

From culture springs the values and worldview that influence how you think, feel, perceive, act.

/2
Those who aim to control the culture, to decide who gets to be seen and who doesn't, want to control the past, present and future.

They want to control your soul.

English language bookstores have a 'Self-Improvement' or an 'Inspirational' section.

The Chinese language section in my local bookstore instead uses to therm 修养励志.

A literal translation is 'self-improvement' and
'inspirational'.

But there's a deeper meaning here.

/1 Image
修养 is translated as 'self-improvement'.

But it also means self-cultivation.

In the sense of cultivating crops.

A term that at once hints at the deep role agriculture played in the development of China, AND the Chinese approach to self-improvement.

/2
To whit:

It is not a one-and-done deal.

Like a farmer tending to his crops, you have to constantly practice the qualities you want to develop.

As a bountiful yield from the harvest allows the farmer to expand his farm, so cultivation grows your capacity and resources.

Forgot to mention this in the original thread.

Fortunately, PulpArchivist picked it up.
The key elements of combat is shoot, move and communicate.

These must be trained until they are second nature.

Adrenaline reduces you to the level of your training.

It does not help you rise to the occasion, unless you are already highly trained.
For 'communicate', you must do the following:

-Communicate the enemy's location, strength and actions

-Tell everyone where to go and what to do

-Tell everyone where you are going and what you will do

All this while taking and returning fire.
