Samuel Lazar’s detention hearing is now underway. Government prosecutor is now reading off some selections from Lazar's Facebook search warrant returns. #facepaintblowhard
“What’s next if this defendant is released?” federal prosecutor asks during Lazar’s detention hearing, after reading a threatening post targeting Antifa/BLM/Democrats from Lazar’s Facebook page.
Background: Samuel Lazar was palling around with a bunch of GOP politicians in Pennsylvania when he was on the FBI’s Capitol wanted list. @DanNephinLNP first wrote about his well-documented actions just days after Jan. 6. #facepaintblowhardhuffpost.com/entry/samuel-l…
Samuel Lazar was arrested the same morning that Capitol and MPD officers testified about their experiences on Jan. 6. He’s been in custody for more than a month. huffpost.com/entry/samuel-l…
Federal prosecutor argues that 35-year-old Sam Lazar is “an adult” and isn’t going to listen to another adult (aka his teenage girlfriend) if he wants to do something. They don’t see a third-party custodian as a viable option.
Here’s a thread with the photos of Sam Lazar at issue:
Here’s a video (unearthed by @CoryCullington) that shows Lazar encouraging other rioters to storm the building. Because he literally believed the Big Lie and wanted to take what in his mind was justifiable action, others apparently thought he was antifa.

This week, the city of Philadelphia agreed to pay $2 million to a woman after officers smashed out her windows, ripped her out of her car, beat her, and took her child. inquirer.com/news/philadelp…
After officers grabbed the toddler out of his car seat and beat his mother, the National FOP spread a false narrative all over social media, claiming the child was found “wandering around barefoot” during a riot.
“If i [sic] had it my way every cop who hurled a baton or maced on [sic] of us would be lined up and put down.”
Two Pennsylvania men — 25-year-old Marshall Neefe and 25-year-old Brad Smith — were arrested in connection with the Capitol attack.

Jan. 6 defendants Jean Lavin and her daughter Carly Krzywicki were arrested in Connecticut. after a Facebook friend turned them into the FBI.
"KRZYWICKI stated she posted a picture on Facebook, but later deleted it because it seemed like a bad idea to leave it up."
The FBI appears to have pulled an open-source video from @propublica’s Jan. 6 Parler video database that "shows LAVIN and KRZYWICKI climbing a bike rack that rioters had repurposed from barricades to ladders.” storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
Here’s the video in question. Look for the giant homemade “TRUMP WON” sign with the giant American flags. Tough to miss! projects.propublica.org/parler-capitol…
Plea hearing set for 2 p.m. for Jan. 6 defendant Andrew Hatley, who posed with a statue of white supremacist John Calhoun inside the Capitol crypt.
Hatley's case was tied up in a bow thanks to a search warrant return from his Life360 account.
"When HATLEY was asked about the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, HATLEY advised he was not sure how much he should say without legal counsel because he could be in a great deal of trouble.” storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
Hatley, 34, tells the judge he went to high school and then trucking school. He will enter a guilty plea to the parading / demonstrating / picketing misdemeanor charge.
“This seems to be the least bad option available,” he tells the judge.
