1) Almost every problem we have in this country right now is about White people’s FEAR of demographic change & the GOP exploiting those fears for political gain. It’s ALL about race & racism. These dots are OBVIOUS & EASY TO CONNECT.
2) Voting Rights. It’s NOT even they don’t want Blk people 2 vote per se, they don’t want us to have the power to SHIFT an election. It’s ok as long as we don’t DECIDE the election. GOP can’t win if we vote en masse. So they are trying to rig it, that’s their only path 2 win.
3) The REASON this works for the GOP is because THE MAJORITY of White people for for White Supremacy. Yes even the 18-29 year olds! Every single White demographic VOTED FOR TRUMP! ALLADEM! Youth, women, ERYBODY! W people are choosing Whiteness over DEMOCRACY ITSELF!
4) Every day I see W people on this app lecturing Blk people and other POC but mostly Blk people about what we should be doing. That’s not YOUR JOB! Getting other W people to choose DEMOCRACY over Whiteness is YOUR JOB! Do the WORK!
5) W people also need to do the work of talking to the unvaccinated& unmasked in their communities & Let’s be honest about how & why this became POLITICAL! COVID was killing Blk people disproportionately at 1st so the craven GOP downplayed the danger UNTIL their people got sick
6) By then they had made even masking to protect yourself a taboo that made you a “sheep” they’d literally rather risk their own KIDS LIVES than be forced to be vaccinated for the “greater good.” At the end of the day RACISM of the GOP means if the greater good includes Blks…
7) it’s NOT GREAT or GOOD or anything they will ACCEPT! They will fight like hell AGAINST IT THOUGH! W Supremacy is so attached to Whiteness they shut down public pools rather than share them. W folks have proven over & over they’d rather burn it ALL down than share with Blacks
8) that’s what Trump tapped into and what the GOP CONTINUES TO EXPLOIT! This fear of demographic change which gives them a group of people who will do ANYTHING for the W Supremacy tribe because they are afraid of, they are REJECTING the very idea of multicultural democracy.
9) This is the CROSSROADS and it’s a come to Jesus moment (for lack of a better term to my non religious friends) for W people.
