A former student who downloaded almost 70,000 white supremacist documents and bomb-making instructions has avoided a prison sentence “by the skin of his teeth” after being told to read classic literature by Dickens, Austen, Shakespeare and Hardy.
theguardian.com/politics/2021/…
I'm all for finding 3 to send it to other than sending someone prison but if you're being charged with a terrorism of past finding gold to read classic literature I think something is amiss. Especially when classic literature is regularly share cited in extremis ecosystems.
according to the police report the jury was also told how John had a wealth of white supremist and anti-Semitic material, as well as material related to the Order of Nine Angles (ONA), which is increasingly under the focus of law enforcement.

As someone who has been curating an extensive Library primary source extremist literature I find it surprising that there would be a total of 70000 documents especially as within these libraries are some classic & philosophical texts that are interpreted through a specific lens
I'd be curious how they determine all 70,000 documents were right-wing extremist. Even with all PDFs, all audio all the video, find that number to be a little high. Even if that number is correct does punishment meet the crime?
Finding 70,000 documents is not something that is done passively but rather mean that the individual wasn't it wasn't for their sharing any type of libraries it is possible he was doing more than simply curious.
Now there's a lot of junk libraries but if you separate the wheat from the chaff can find very interesting and dangerous and I'm sure if it's individual has 70,000 document he's found a fair amount of gems.
Elsa find it interesting that law enforcement single out one group in particular, and one book from the 2000s out of 70,000 documents. Out of 70,000 documents it is very likely that there are documents from multiple groups movements and ideologies
Part of the question is what was the individual doing with these documents if he was referred to the prevent program someone was concerned about the individual's behavior. Again is simply reading classical literature punishment, probably not. And it work... maybe
I will likely have some research pieces coming out the near future how about type of literature and documents that are found as I continue to build with other colleagues @ICSR_Centre curated database to be further researched, investigated, and analyzed.
Also to add simply because the individual has 70,000 documents it is very like me that he has not read many of them. It might also explain why the punishment is lenient, but again this individual does not appear to be a passive actor
Anyways @Blyth_Crawford @FlorenceKeen @hannah1_rose and myself will likely have more to write about this topic in the near future have a good day at work on our massive database.

Apparently there is an entire cocktail of substances you can use to protect yourself from COVID and mitigate damage to your DNA from the mRNA vaccines. They trust telegram science but not medical orgs, professionals and journals science
This user shares that you get get a concentrate you have to dilute, but then some one else shares the information for the poison hotline incase you mess up 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Romana Didulo, self proclaimed "Queen" of Canada, pseudolaw, QAnon, lightweaver and other conspiracy theories pedler was advocating for the genocide of children from the "evil people". On her telegram channel when doing a Q&A.
The comment section is rife with apocalyptic approval, that this needs to be done, that it is part of God's plan, or its the only way to deal with the cabal/deep state/evil ones.
There are some question about age limitation and saving the children but they are few.
Now is this serious, Ina way it may seem like something to laugh off, however, all the incidents of QAnon kidannaping children in the US and in France occured when the pseudolaw movement and QAnon ideologies are combine (8 cases so far).

The @January6thCmte has requested data from 4chan, 8kun, Facebook, Gab, Google, Parler, Reddit, Snapchat, Telegram, theDonaldwin, TikTok, Twitch, Twitter, YouTube & Zello. This is going to be extremely important and useful information, but...

From a human rights perspective, there is some concerns around how this data will be kept and protected as there were a spectrum of individuals active in these spaces. Also will there be any form of non-gov data available to the research community?
I think that @GIFCT_official and @techvsterrorism are well placed to have a role in this and hope that if they have not been involved they do get to be at some point.

In the past 48 hours there have been two instances of QAnon influencers discussing the important form 2A to protect themselves from mandatory vaccinations imposed by the government.
This first if around the cpnspriacy theory that the government is building quarantine camps for all of those who are not vaccinated, which will lead to Nazi style concentration camps, if it was not for 2A. (The poster downplays the unstated call for violence, but it is there)
The second mention of the importance of guns in protecting yourself is in reference to the anti-lockdown and anti-government protests. In this second instance the comment is the impact of Australians having "given up" their guns removing their power to fight against their gov.

Looks like Jim Watkins was contacted by the January 6th Commission and he is not happy about it as he is sharing his reply to the email on Telegram, which is not surprising considering the company he is keeping there.
He is trying to be coy/non-chalant about it but he is definitely concerned. I would be to considering the role that his communities played on January 6, as well as the fact that his site housed the "Q" board, and in all likely hood had a role in controlling the "Q" account
Ron is also trying to distance himself from his dad and 8kun. Considering that he was likely "Q" for a time I would be also, as he would have had an important hand in creating a large mobilized extremist movement.

Th individual had a degree from Cambridge, he decided against having a vaccine after reading content on social media. He had a vlog on Facebook to prove that COVID was no worse than a cold, 9 days after catching it he died.

The individual at hand was educated, yet he was convinced by anti-COVID and anti-vaccine disinformation and propaganda. His level of education convinced those around him that we was right, ppl around him trusted his opinion as he was educated and he put them at risk.
Though we focus on the larger voices that spread disinformation and propaganda. It is important to remember that individuals play an important role in their social circles and ecosystems.
