The Nigerian society has been structured in such a way that the man’s value is measured based on the material things he can provide. A man who cannot provide material things is constantly shamed and tagged to be undeserving of love hence the popular clause “broke boys avoid me”

On the contrary, a woman’s value is measured just by her pretty face by curvaceous body.

A Nigerian man can have everything in the world and then goes in search of ‘humble’ and ‘down-to-earth’ woman with a fine face and a red bank account and the society applauds him as an ‘intentional’ man.

However, when a lady makes a few bucks, she completely looks down on men earning lower than her. “Go and look for your class” is a popular line.

And if by sheer chance a broke man happens to win the love of a richer woman, the Nigerian society is quick to call him a gold digger. Some will even say he is using jazz on her because to them it is impossible naturally.

This complex is what is pushing many Nigerian young men into crime. You are useless without material things regardless of how you get them.
You don’t deserve any love and you don’t deserve good sex.

Why am I writing all these?
As a Nigerian man, you have to double your hustle. No woman will love you unconditionally and even the one you’ll feel is loving you unconditionally will be fast to move on from you if she finds a better option or if her financial status rises.
