Phil King, Dan Flynn, Tan Parker & Rick Miller are Texas legislators who co-authored the now infamous law banning abortion after first 6 weeks of pregnancy in Texas. While first introduced in 2013, Shelby Slawson & Bryan Hughes in March 2021 led SB8 to becoming law in May 2021.
There's never an appropriate time to point out this fact, but the new Texas law banning abortions, which authorizes the public as vigilantes who can legally sue in civil court anyone who aids & abets a woman seeking an abortion after 6 weeks of pregnancy is filled with irony...
There are 2 reasons why this law is now in effect on Sept. 1, 2021 1. A majority of White men in Texas approved of this tactic to gut Roe v Wade 2. A majority of White WOMEN supported the White men who conspired to introduce & push through this new law
Here's the evidence...
Let's start with the men. It is critical to note that a majority of White men voted for Donald Trump (twice), on whose watch the Supreme Court was dramatically shifted with 3 new appointed justices. This Court voted 5-4 to let stand the Texas abortion ban on Sept. 1, 2021.
Now, the women. It should be a point of emphasis that a MAJORITY of WHITE WOMEN supported the election of Trump in 2016 and then had the HIGHEST % of INCREASE IN SUPPORT for Trump in 2020 in a losing effort that culminated in a failed insurrection attempt on Jan 6. Surprised?
White women are the largest voting bloc in the US. While the blame & shame centers on White men making laws governing the bodies of women, the true power is in the voting blocs that support the candidates who run for office in state legislatures, Congress & the White House.
America's gobsmacked public is reeling from a reluctance by the Supreme Court to intervene & stop the Texas law from going into effect. Many WOMEN Democrats are now embroiled in hand-wringing despondency while Republican MEN on the other side gleefully gloat. Meanwhile...
Where are GOP WOMEN on this issue of Texas banning abortions? More pointedly, where is the discourse & debate over why a MAJORITY OF WOMEN VOTERS (without regard to political affiliation) continue to support white male supremacy, which is at the core of the Texas Heartbeat Law?
The issue of abortion in America is truly a disingenuous political battle, with White men as the faces of despised culprits manipulating legislation that determines when, if & how women can seek a legal, safe procedure to abort their pregnancies. But women have the true power...
It is women, particularly WHITE WOMEN, who have the largest voting bloc in the nation. And a majority of WHITE WOMEN consistently support White male candidates with a clear agenda of white male supremacy, which devalues the lives of nonwhites & even WHITE WOMEN. But why?
Throughout history, White women have enjoyed the benefits of proximity to power at the top of the ladder of human value, a.k.a. racial hierarchy, which values & devalues humans according to race. White male supremacy is rooted in belief in racial hierarchy. Gender is also valued.
White women do not hold a top spot on the ladder of human value under White supremacist ideology. But they benefit from proximity to it. Benefits vs risks are weighed each time White women vote. How different would politics be if a majority of White women aligned w/ Black women?
In the 2020 election, 95% of Black women voted against Trump. But a MAJORITY of White women voted FOR Trump. How is this even possible when Trump was quite transparent about changing the Supreme Court to target Roe v Wade, aside from his history of sexually assaulting women?
In Texas & around the US, it is time to lessen the lens on White men who write the laws of white male supremacy (which fears the loss of the pure White race through race-mixing & voluntary abortions). It is time to highlight the power inherent in the voting bloc of White women.
When a majority of White women align with the efforts of a majority of Black women, there will be a sea change in laws, systems, public policies & private sector practices. Black women have ALWAYS carried the burden of caring for our most vulnerable populations + White children!
What is at stake in the 2020 election? Here's some historical context that's much-needed in American schools to help fully understand the challenge each generation has faced. Now, it's our turn. We get to determine the future for the next generation.

White supremacist ideology is taught in American schools. 80% of public school teachers are White, while 52% of public school students are not. Teachers cannot teach contextual US history, social studies & economics when they've never been taught the truth about w-supremacy.

The U.S. was built on a foundation of white supremacy. it was established as a whites-only citizenry. A nation created by White Europeans for their benefit at the expense of the original Brown owners of this entire continent & Black people brought here in chains.

In every city the Most Vulnerable Population (MVP) students are served by the WORST schools. This is a 20th century segregationist relic that undermines the education of America's black and Hispanic youth, whose talents and skills we need to bolster US competitiveness. 2/16
I've heard a lot about the great economy and lowest unemployment rate in history. Trump & GOP have one talking point when it comes to black voters: take a look at that low unemployment rate. Do you like that? I'd like to discuss it within context and reveal the full truth. 3/16
1. What is your plan to help cities develop economic ecosystems that prioritize racial equity & increasing measurable productivity outcomes for economically deprived communities of color?
2. How will you address the imminent economic cliff America is racing toward, due to systemic bias that relies upon white entrepreneurship & job creation (which has a 30-yr decline) while ignoring growth of nonwhite businesses?
3. What is your plan to disrupt segregationist policies and practices that protect white supremacy and oppress nonwhites nationwide? (Education, housing, transportation, banking/finance, investments, business development, etc)

Most Americans have never been taught anything about the "Negro American Revolution." This explains why educators, media, clergy, pundits and politicos struggle to understand today's socioeconomic and political battlegrounds. Just 53 years ago, the govt spelled it out. 1/13
"The US is approaching a new crisis in race relations. In this period expectations of Negro Americans will go beyond civil rights. They will expect equal opportunities for them will produce roughly equal results as compared with other groups. This is not going to happen." 2/13
"Nor will it happen for generations to come unless a new and special effort is made. There are two reasons. First, the racist virus in the American blood stream still afflicts us: Negroes will encounter serious personal prejudice for at least another generation." 3/13
