Here at this very place in Veraval Near famous Somnath temple of Pravasa Ksetra Bhagwan Sri Krishna was shot in his foot by Jara mistakenly as a deer after which he is said to have left the earth for the heavenly abode the Vaikuntha.
Bhagwan Krishna was sitting under a tree near Bhalka in deep yogic meditation at the same time Jara saw Krishna's left foot moving mistook it for the twitching ear of a deer he shot an arrow that direction .
When he approach near he saw lord Krishna and realised his mistake .
Krishna made him quite and revealed the secret that it was pre decided as In previous birth Jara was Vali, the vanara king who killed by Rama when fighting with Sugreeva from a hiding place.
