There were a lot of developments last week involving a few attention-grabbing Jan. 6 suspects, a few of whom were arrested pretty quickly after the attack. A thread.
Gracyn Courtright, the college senior who said that “infamy is just as good as fame” and said she couldn’t wait to tell her grandkids about Jan. 6 took a plea: huffpost.com/entry/gracyn-c…
#FloridaFlagJacket, who self-doxxed on video and was arrested 12 days after HuffPost identified him based on @CountryOvParty’s work, will also be taking a plea: huffpost.com/entry/robert-s…
Doug Jensen was sent back to jail pretrial because he just couldn’t quit the MyPillow Guy. huffpost.com/entry/doug-jen…
And the QAnon Shaman guy took a plea over the objections of his family members, who apparently actually still believe that Trump is coming back to office.

huffpost.com/entry/qanon-sh…
And #FacePaintBlowHard — who appeared in a Jan. 6 story in his local newspaper and spent months palling around with Pennsylvania Republicans when he was wanted by the FBI — was ordered locked up until trial. huffpost.com/entry/capitol-…
If you zoom back to just the past month, the #SeditionHunters community has had REALLY remarkable streak. First, there was the LONG awaited arrest of #TunnelCommander, who has been IDed since the very early days. huffpost.com/entry/fbi-arre….
There was the arrest of #CatSweat, who was pictured in the disturbing photograph that helped kick off the #SeditionHunters movement. He’d been IDed in April. huffpost.com/entry/logan-ba…
On top of all that, @SeditionHunters surfaced multiple videos that showed a misdemeanor Jan. 6 defendant who was about to be sentenced assaulting an officer. #SeditionHunters changed the course of a federal investigation, and not for the last time... huffpost.com/entry/robert-r…
This week could be another big week in the Jan. 6 world. For one thing, the FBI has dozens and dozens and dozens of very solid IDs from the #SeditionHunters community, including multiple assault cases, and we’re coming off a long weekend…
Tomorrow, at noon, Duke Edward Wilson (aka #fakenewshat) is scheduled to enter a plea. Link to the FBI affidavit in his case, from May: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…. ImageImage
On Wednesday, Frank Scavo of Pennsylvania is set to take a plea.

He chartered buses to D.C. from Pennsylvania and interviewed with the FBI in Scanton just 9 days after Jan. 6, so that’s one to watch. (If you entered the Capitol and were on one of his buses, maybe lawyer up.) ImageImage
Also Wednesday: A plea hearing for Russell James Peterson, a 34-year-old adult male who traveled to D.C. with his mommy while wearing a sweatshirt featuring a stick figure thrusting its pelvis into the “Y” on “YOUR FEELINGS.” ImageImage
On Thursday, there’s a plea agreement hearing set for Esther Schwemmer. Image
And on Friday there’s a plea hearing set in the case against Douglas Wangler and Bruce Harrison, who lawyered up and spoke to the FBI in April. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco… ImageImage
The broader public really doesn’t understand the enormous role that #SeditionHunters are playing behind the scenes at every stage of these Jan. 6 investigations. It’ll get clearer over the next weeks and months. huffpost.com/entry/sedition…
Just last week they unmasked two individuals who assaulted a New York Times photographer inside the Capitol building.

This week, the city of Philadelphia agreed to pay $2 million to a woman after officers smashed out her windows, ripped her out of her car, beat her, and took her child. inquirer.com/news/philadelp…
After officers grabbed the toddler out of his car seat and beat his mother, the National FOP spread a false narrative all over social media, claiming the child was found “wandering around barefoot” during a riot.
So the mother’s lawyers “are not done yet.” They’re suing the FOP for smearing the mother and posting “propaganda to promote a fake savior narrative.”

Jan. 6 defendants Jean Lavin and her daughter Carly Krzywicki were arrested in Connecticut. after a Facebook friend turned them into the FBI.

"KRZYWICKI stated she posted a picture on Facebook, but later deleted it because it seemed like a bad idea to leave it up." Image
The FBI appears to have pulled an open-source video from @propublica’s Jan. 6 Parler video database that "shows LAVIN and KRZYWICKI climbing a bike rack that rioters had repurposed from barricades to ladders.” storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco… Image
Here’s the video in question. Look for the giant homemade “TRUMP WON” sign with the giant American flags. Tough to miss! projects.propublica.org/parler-capitol…

Plea hearing set for 2 p.m. for Jan. 6 defendant Andrew Hatley, who posed with a statue of white supremacist John Calhoun inside the Capitol crypt.

Hatley's case was tied up in a bow thanks to a search warrant return from his Life360 account. ImageImage
"When HATLEY was asked about the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, HATLEY advised he was not sure how much he should say without legal counsel because he could be in a great deal of trouble.” storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco… Image
Hatley, 34, tells the judge he went to high school and then trucking school. He will enter a guilty plea to the parading / demonstrating / picketing misdemeanor charge.

“This seems to be the least bad option available,” he tells the judge.
