[Thread] What a crazy 8 months. Today we publicly announced the full release of @RmrkApp 2.0 NFTs, the most advanced #NFT system in the world.

In January, we came up with a system of 5 NFT legos that, when put together, allow you to compose a system of arbitrary complexity. These legos are explained in this thread:

Kanaria is these legos put together into action. A proof of concept.

Kanaria (kanaria.rmrk.app) NFT birds can hold and equip other NFTs into certain slots. Breakdown: url.rmrk.app/demobird

The "child" NFTs are regular NFTs, compatible with the birds but also standalone and forward compatible with future, unrelated projects.

139 of the birds also have an alternative resource because they are multi-resource NFTs (every RMRK 2.0 NFT is a multi-resource NFT by default, even if it has just one resource). This means owners can pick the priority in which these resources (outputs, renders) are shown.

This has lead to a wonderfully diverse set of birds in the full list, where some opted for the stylized version outputs, while others chose to equip crazy things and show the birds as masters of gear. The functionality, of course, remains identical regardless of resource priority

Already, some items and birds are reaching drool-inducing prices. Some people strip the birds of items and sell items and naked birds separately, others count on the bundles having a high value.

Next up, we'll be improving the inventory management UX, migrating matured features into our main marketplace singular.rmrk.app, and further optimizing all aspects of RMRK NFTs, and more.

So why bother with this? Why pay attention to this non-eth project?

Apart from being the most advanced NFT system in the world, RMRK NFTs are natively connected to every chain that connects to the @kusamanetwork relay chain. They are multi-chain by default.

Not only can you get perks from our partners (getting a better APY on @KaruraNetwork if you have a bird with the Karura headband is not far out in the future), but imagine the reach - imagine if you could put a branded hoodie onto a cryptopunk. How much exposure is that?

But imagine also coming up with a game in the future and simply reusing the NFTs that already exist by adding a new resource to them - giving them eternal liquidity and long lasting forward compatibility without planning in advance? How powerful is that, vs dust collecting JPEGs?

The @RmrkApp adventure is just getting started, and soon we'll be revealing new perks for our bird holders including but not limited to:
