There has been a lot of chatter during the Hazelview/Heron Gate matter about trying to keep affordable units affordable forever. City staff say you can't make a private company do that. This is a "home run" of a deal with Hazelview, planning services boss says.
The official plan amendment and "social contract" with Hazelview Properties for its site in Heron Gate is approved by council.
Council unanimous in making the city government's new mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy apply to council members, too.
