ANNOUNCEMENT: I helped a major celebrity buy their first Cryptopunk!

Sunday, Sept 5th. 3am. I am alone in my villa when my phone rings, on the line a dear friend who happens to be a global superstar.

Their question?

What are these NFTs everyone is talking about?!

In an exciting discussion I share with them 5 things:

1. NFTs represent true, verifiable ownership on the blockchain. Now, digital goods. Soon, everything.

2. NFTs will soon be in the hands of every man, woman & child. We are seeing it happen with youth in games like Roblox, with adults in things like Art Blocks.

3. Cryptopunks are perhaps the most important collection in our movement.

4. If you are passionate about decentralization (which this person is), then a Punk avatar is a raised flag declaring your stance.

5. Over the coming months, billions of dollars will flow into this space, and Cryptopunks are the likely first stop.

Now, in addition to being an icon in their industry, this person is quite tech savvy.

They receive over 1 billion views a month on social media.

They have one of the biggest followings across platforms.

They have a diverse, international audience.

And their response to me was:

"Let's do this!"

We began our Punk search.

Now, Cozomo does not typically have co-investors.

I am not a fund, just one man.

But in this instance, we both felt it would be monumentous to invest in this Punk together.

It will live as their avatar.

And reside in the prestigious Medici Collection,, alongside other notable Punks such as CoZom, RhinoZom, and SunBeanie.

Our first call was to @justinaversano.

The man knows Punks.

We identified a Punk our celeb friend highly resonated with.

And as fate would have it, it was priced lower than we felt was fair value - 33 ETH below current floor for it's trait, actually!

A market buy was made.

And now, come tomorrow, this Punk will become the twitter avatar of a global star, with a huge heart, who is passionate about decentralization, cryptocurrency, and a better world for all.
