This is the Oath Keepers' attorney. The FBI has seized her phone.

What's really interesting is that she is now starting to call out Kirkland Ellis.
Yet, as usual, their biases and previously ingested conspiracy theories can only seem to reason that this must somehow point to Obama, the Clintons, and Seth Rich.

I can't help but think that some of them may even be genuinely trying here.
Because they aren't really wrong about Kirkland & Ellis.

It's just that their massive blind spots (created by right wing propaganda) prevent them from seeing things clearly.

It's almost like the law firm specializes in representing the enemies of western democracy and the rule of law.

Bill Barr, Brian Benczkowski, Jeffrey Clark... All Kirkland & Ellis alums.

Just... So many instances of this firm representing entities that have been trying to erode the rule of law, so they can profit from unethical practices.

So many criminal clients of a... transnational nature.

Who want to evade our criminal justice system
Yes, it's a bit crazy to think about a law firm in this way.

But consider that some of the threats to democracy we face are a result of infiltrating/leveraging organizations that have special legal status/protections - like churches and non-profit groups.

And A/C privilege.

Question

Why exactly is a UAE hacking unit - one which targets journalists and dissidents for the monarchy - mostly staffed by former NSA officials?
Original reporting from Jan 2019 on Project Raven:

Ex-NSA operatives reveal how they helped spy on targets for the Arab monarchy — dissidents, rival leaders and journalists.

Today: Three of them now face federal charges.

Merrick Garland's press conference announcing an enforcement action, reportedly regarding the TX abortion law, is scheduled for 2:30pm EST/11:30am PST.

Should be able to watch it live here, if so inclined:

For context, and to set expectations, please read this thread:

Looks like it was delayed 15 minutes; now says 2:45.

The man who killed four ppl and injured an 11yo girl in Lakeland, FL this morning is a former marine, who was a sharpshooter in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He is employed by ESS Global as a security guard.

“God began speaking to him.”

“About a week ago, Judd said Riley worked security at an Orlando church and said God began speaking to him.
In the days that followed, investigators say the girlfriend told them Riley became increasingly erratic – buying $1,000 worth of cigars as Hurricane Ida relief.” Image
Riley also admitted to taking meth, according to law enforcement.

The medieval Texas abortion bill subverts our constitution and enlists courts into a vigilante bounty system.

It only stands because a group of anonymous donors bought the Supreme Court.

End the filibuster, expand the court, stop dark money, and protect voting rights.
Nearly 70% of this Leo group’s funding comes from a single, anonymous donor.

The Justices whom this group helped install on the court ruled this summer that we aren’t allowed to see who its donors are.

Expand the court. End the filibuster. Stop dark money. Expose the donors.
From SCOTUS, to voter suppression bills, to radicalized candidates, to the insurrection, to astroturf ops and school boards - this is the elephant in every room.

We can’t fight what we can’t see.

End the filibuster. Expand the court. Stop dark money.

In April, Jeff DeWit (then a Trump campaign official) offered to send $175,000 to the Guardian Defense Fund.

He later asked about the 'Fund the Audit' group as well: “So they are ok to donate to? Trump asking."

Byrne and the others all were “funding Cyber Ninjas.”
Pullen signed a contract with anti-vaxx conspiracy theorist “Dr.” Shiva Ayyadurai - and sent a copy of it to a “Shelby B.” at the right wing group United Liberty Coalition.

Unless SCOTUS intervenes (which seems unlikely under the current court), this TX law will go into effect tomorrow, essentially offering private citizens $10K if they can find and report on women who get abortions.

One private website has been created to collect such “reports.”
You won’t often find me sharing an Elie Mystal op-ed in The Nation, but he has the facts right, and I don’t see anyone else reporting on this.

I really worry about the perverse incentives this is creating, and what it means for women in Texas.

thenation.com/article/societ…
As I said in my earlier thread when the law was first passed, this basically encourages vigilantism, and invites religious groups across the country to find ways to identify and intimidate TX women who seek abortions, via the courts.

It turns our constitution on its head.
