As someone with a strong preference for policy compared to politics, I have had something gnawing at me about the differences between the the public behavior of the Trump administration compared to the Biden people. Let's start by saying both have more than their fair share 1/n

Of stupid stuff said andd stupid stuff done. However, it kept gnawing at me about howto summariz e or encapsulate the difference. Trump and his talking heads had a bravado so that even when they were slinging junk they were kind of like Biff from Back to the Future 2/n

There were many times they were slinging crap and they knew but flew into it for lack of a better term. They effectively challenged people to do something about but they carried this with some bravado. This is in stark contrast to the Biden people. I think the Biden people 3/n

Are comparable to Ralph Wiggum. The Biden people are convinced they are the smartest and most earnest people in the room and are shocked when anyone points out the stunningly obvious. To date except when they are doing nothing ut copying Trump policy their entire 4/n

Sales pitch is that they aren't Trump. That's it. That's literally it. The reason I point this out is not to put GIFs in a Tweet thread but to note how even for me how surprising this. The people in authority al throughout the Biden administration come from Hillary world 5/n

Who is reknowned for being uber-prepared. Binders of people ready for every administration position from day 1. People who spent 8 years in the Obama administration and four in thinkk tanks sharpening their plans for the next go around. 6/n

These are NOT people that should be this unprepared and completely deer in the headlights clueless about simple simple stuff of staffing up a Presidential administration. Basic policies about things like China. There was one small thing to me they did which 7/n

Captures the Biden problem perfectly. The eviction moratorium ended and SCOTUS had told them the regulation would likely be voted down if it came up for full review. The Biden people then as it runs out have NO plan even though they had 90 plus days expecting what is needed 8/n

They seemed utterly clueless about how to move a policy priority from idea to legislation. They didn't even try ahead of time.Then ran around trying create a regulation that would pass (but it didn't). This angered Hill Dems and GOP. The entire management smacked of utter 9/n

Cluelessness regardless of policy choices and preferences angering people on both sides. I'm not sure what the problem inside is but they seem utterly clueless and unprepared despite thinking they are the smartest most earnest guys in the room when in reality 10/n

The teacher is thinking they shouldn't even be in the class are nothing more than the slow student you pass every year even though thinking how bad they are
