patriotism. He spoke important words. For as long as the United States endures as a free nation we must all remember the blood sacrifice made in a Pennsylvania field that saved the Capitol of the United States from annihilation on 9/11/01. At this spot, lives of ordinary

Americans ended in an instant, after a vote, a charge, a death struggle and victory. In that instant, forever, that soil became part of a story made sacred by the ultimate sacrifice and act of love one human may ever offer another. Each life sacrificed saved not just countless

others but one of freedoms most enduring symbols, the Capitol of the United States. At this sacred spot which is linked with places like Normandy, Gettysburg, Bastogne, Lexington, Selma, Birmingham, and hundreds more, we remember our highest ideals with reverence, awe

and humility. There will come a day when the events of 9/11 will cross a line that separates them from living memory and historical record. These places are America’s secular cathedrals. They evoke and unleash a thousand emotions but they serve a purpose that endures

past the living memory of the actual events. From these places where no liar has the ability to hide from truth, we can be sure of the perpetuity of nobility, virtue, greatness and love. These are the places that light the night and reveal a righteous path not just for our

present, but for for our children and the great grandchildren of the men and women from all over the world murdered on 9/11. These places are light houses that enshrine memories and warn of danger. An American President rose to speak. George W Bush made it clear. He drew a line

Honored every victim and the memory of United 93 by confronting the greatest threat we face today. It is as evil as the threat that manifested out of a clear blue sky on a beautiful Tuesday, twenty years ago today.
