Only a few years ago, on September 11th, 2001, we would all say, “never forget.” But we now have a generation of Americans who had yet to be born on that fateful morning. This generation is now entering your colleges. So, for those who’ve never experienced the horror of 9/11 
in real time, please consider yourself extremely blessed. And never allow comfort to create complacency. Never allow good fortune to breed ingratitude. Because for all of us alive on that awful day, it was clear as day that not only can we lose our most loved ones in an
instant… but that we are always one mere generation away from losing our freedoms forever. Just because you haven’t had to fight for yours yet, doesn’t mean that you won’t be called upon. Because many great men and women before you were. And they answered honorably.
